I’m not taking nothing away from serch or anything, but dude was a hater back in his day, & boy do I hate a hater. He hated on hammer for bringing rap to a whole nother audience, he hated on vanilla ice for doing him, he’s just a hater. If rap was to stay the way he wanted it to be, there prolly wouldn’t be no rap, or rap wouldn’t generate as much mula as it does now, and he prolly wouldn’t have a job as a big brother for up & coming white rappers.

Vanilla was on the road to tarnishing the future of every white MC ever (including 3rd Bass).

^Then why you never hear artist that’s was not popular at all not getting “regulated” at that time? The only artist that got dissed for no reason was

The ones that sold the most
And the ones not from New York

Niggas should be praising hammer, I don’t remember rappers getting endorsment deals before him, now that’s what rappers shoot for, it’s accepted now, but if rap was to end up like how the *ahem*haters*ahem rap prolly would’ve died like disco did. Hammer made a blueprint that every artist follow now

^Without a real reason, yes. They are haters, you only reason to diss someone is because there corny? Or is it really because your opening up for someone that has less talent than you, but is waaaaay more popular & you feel it should be you in that spot, yeah, that sounds like hating to me

not everybody thinks with your warped logic Joe, some people have principles.

^Naw, he was speaking his opinion, & he of all people have the right to do so, & he didn’t MAKE A SONG (I don’t think) I really don’t even know how the beef started, I think KRS wanted to boycott nelly album or something, if that’s the reason, I take my first sentence back

**Serch looks at himself as kind of a guardian of the culture, maybe he takes himself too seriously, but I appreciate that kind of passion (n/h)- if it wasn’t for the niggas/cracka ass crackas, etc like him who truly felt the culture on that level, and carried it in their hearts (again, none), hip hop woulda died with “Rapper’s Delight”…KRS fits in that category, too….

lol @ ya’ll. I’m just speaking from my point of view, I think alot of shit that goes on is fueled by hate, I was raised to mind my god damn biz-ness growing up & that’s what I do, if someone is doing something that’s against how I feel, but it has nothing to do wit me, I aint saying shit,

    example

If I see a chick getting the brakepads beat off her ass in the street, it aint my duty to stop that shit, I just keep it moving, she might of stole daddy money (c) max b. Serious tho, just because two niggas rap don’t mean he one of them need to police the other, let that man do him, worry about ya god damn self for a change. I can’t imagine being a hater, sitting at home listening to laffy taffy like “I hate these niggas, i’ma make a song about them” WTF is that doing other than showing you got nothing else better to do than worry about another nigga craft cause it aint what your use to listening too, or the good ole rap you grew up on, in my book that’s hating

/\ Probably the only intro my 53 year old mom could hear the beat and know what was about to be said.

Interesting too…the only rappers she could name by face would be Snoop, Eminem, 50 Cent, & 2Pac. And their all linked to Dr. Dre…impressive marketing.
