Cookin Soul & Nah Right Present: Cookin Hot Buttered Soul – Isaac Hayes Instrumental Tribute

cs-cover.jpg

Straight up and down: Without Isaac Hayes, popular music and particularly Hip-Hop as we know it today would not exist. Period. So when Big Size, Milton & Zock from Cookin Soul hit me up and said they were working on a tribute to the late great Black Moses, I leaped at the chance to attach the Nah Right name to the project. Weighing in at 15 tracks, Hot Buttered Soul: Isaac Hayes Instrumental Tribute adds some Hip-Hop energy to a selection of timeless classics, and is one small way that our generation can pay tribute to a man who helped make the music we love possible.

The Game did an interview with Chino from 104.7 FM & said a few things about Jay Z & underneath is a quote from the interview & underneath that is the audio from the interview.

I’m too disrespectful for Jay-Z, I go to hard. His beef is mediocre beef, it’s more swag and less hardcore. Me, I go in on your grandma, your kids and your girl….it will get ugly and I don’t mind. I have a whole coast to back me. My coast will turn their backs on whoever I beef with. So basically, let me commit suicide because I’m the only cat to commit suicide and resurrect every time. So for Jay to say that about me, that’s cool man because that’s Jay-Z and I’m just lil ol Game. But if you fuck with me I’ll turn to a beast, and ill rip ya head off..bust ya lips…turn the Roc-A-Fella sign, into a pee stain…

I can be a fan of Jay and still rip him limb from limb and still be a fan. After I finish him off, I’m still going to listen to Reasonable Doubt afterwards. I’ll kiss Jay goodbye with his own lips. I’m going to make him mad enough to where he has to say something.

    Woooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww

Now that i think about it, jay really shouldnt entertain this because this nigga will really say some disrespectful shit about beyonce and i dont think jay wants her to get in the middle of all this…..it wouldnt be fair to her either….smh….i fuck with game (no) but hes buggin……

  50. G7 Says:

    >>Game didn’t get embraced because he’s garbage

^i disagree with Game being garbage and disagree with his whining about being embraced, but if Jay embraced Wayne on numerous occassions, why not embrace Game? Jay does have some odd co-signs though.

It’s dope. The essence of Issaac Hayes is right here in this and I think it’s real smart to have sped up the tracks cause Issaac could make these chocolate high type vibes. I think yall did O.D. on the “cookin soul” interjections. Shit says it like every 25 seconds. Peace.
