now, I wonder if Obama’s campaign just came out and condemned it or if AHH asked them what they thought of it. ’cause of course they have to condemn it, but would they have even said anything if nobody had asked?

co-sigs, rappers need to be very careful how they help obama b/c he definitely appreciates their help but if he gets painted into a corner he’s not going to take a bullet for a dude who got a song in his catalog named “MOVE…B*TCH…GET OUT THE WAY!”

  28. Rockabye Says:

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” explained spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

Bill Burton’s about #3 on the list of Obama’s PR flacks at this point; he’s below Robert Gibbs and Tommy Vietol, who have been handling the hospital thing.

My guess is it was brought to their attention by an intern/an email from a hip-hop blog, because that’s a remarkably quick turnaround.

And SMH at Luda getting sonned by O’Reilly and Obama. Oops.

  29. Rockabye Says:

“With a slot in the president’s iPod Obama shouted ‘em/ Said I handled his biz and I’m one of his favorite rappers.”

    SMH at AHH misquoting lyrics.

  30. Nicolas Nicolas Says:

you can get it on stage of the Ludacris concert

Obama’s favorite line besides ‘i got a midget hanging from my neck*

  31. Latarian Milton Says:

when my son climbs up on me while i’m making salat i feel like i got a midget on my neck too

best pro Obama song simple but I have whipped around to this at full blast

  33. Nicolas Nicolas Says:

People make me sick with this I see a big change coming. Shut up…come on this disaster was built in a day and one negro isnt going to change it. Now if a black president can fuel some fire beneath people to change themselves to do better than thats something to get behind and the reason I am voting for Obama

^ok, thats where the story came from. still I wonder if somebody pointed the song out to the campaign or what.

  36. Latarian Milton Says:

obama won’t radically change america’s oppressive policies overnight. the more relevant question is whether he will be more effective than mccain. this is not even a question – of course he will. that’s mainly the reason why i support him. i agree that if people are waiting for a 180 degree change then they should kill themselves.

    *chris benoits*

  38. Latarian Milton Says:

even if obama doesn’t radically change policy it will be worth it to see him win solely because he’ll be the first pres to sit on the steps of the white house smoking a newp and can’t nobody say shit to him b/c he’s the most powerful man in the world. chea!

  39. Plug Says:

he’ll be the first pres to sit on the steps of the white house smoking a newp
    ———–
that nigga DO look like he smoke newports. lol

  40. Rockabye Says:

    ^
Not a suicide fan, but the idea that Obama has people who would otherwise never have cared about politics up in arms, and at a grassroots level, is quite a big deal. Nothing changes overnight.

But four years from now? Eight?

ill but holy shit, i’m afraid jordans are going to be like the beanie baby fiasco, these prices are ridick

  42. Plug Says:

Didnt McCain spend like 5 years in a torture chamber or a prison? all I know is I hope he doest get in office. the first thing he would do is push the button. I know if I was tortured for 5 years Id push the button. easy. Ive pushed buttons on niggas that I caught stealin my whip one time, so I KNOW Id push 2 or 3 buttons on somebody who tortured me

  43. Dr Flav Says:

Now Eskay you know AHH is seldom brazen enough to go past press releases, could they even get close enough to even send Obama a post card let alone get a direct quote. LOL
