Keep it trill indeed…
Well, well…what do we have here? Another scathing exposé from the good folks at The Smoking Gun exposing the Boss? It would appear so. After vehemently denying having worked as a correctional officer in his home state of Florida back in the 90’s, it appears that the pride of Carol City’s skirt has been pulled.
Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts) was appointed a prison guard in December 1995 at a salary of $22,913.54, according to the below personnel record, which was provided to TSG by Jo Ellyn Rackleff, a DoC spokesperson. The rapper’s social security number is identical to that of the jail guard. According to the official document, Ross was earning $25,794.34 when he left the department in June 1997. After graduating from the DoC training academy, Ross was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County (the lockup is one of three statewide that serves as an intake facility for new prisoners).
Man, dumb rappers need teaching. Nobody would give a fuck that you used to be a corrections officer if you didn’t insist on assuming this drug kingpin persona, and then refuse to break character even after being called out. And who knows, maybe Ross did start moving weight after he left the force. But if that was the case, he could’ve just said that and everybody would’ve kept it moving. But no, you had to be the reincarnation of Tony and now look at you.
