Does anybody really listen to NERD or do we all just give it the co-sign ’cause it’s Pharell? I’ve tried, I bought both albums and could only really fuck with a couple of songs.

That’s dope artwork on the cover of this mixtape…

  3. Iceberg Slimm Says:

Is the original Ghetto off The Nigger Tape from an Ortiz mixtape or is it supposed to be on Nigger (its still Nigger in my mind)

LF: check out what I sent to the dealership for there unsatisfactory service:

    to whom it may concern,

I was at your dealership on Friday, June 6th looking at a convertible Benz. Usually when I go to a dealership someone greets you within a few moments. I was there for over 15 minutes. It was early in the day and maybe you guys were busy. I don’t want to pull the race card but sometimes as a young black male, you cant help but feel you get lesser service in certain places. At a Lexus dealership, I would image the service would be held to a higher standard. I would not feel as bad if one of the non salesman didn’t tell me that there were multiple salesmen available to answer my questions. Maybe it was my appearance… you know… tee shirt, baggy jeans… but who knows… maybe I’m over reacting. I just think it should be known that I was looking to buy a vehicle and no one helped me. I hope I am over reacting.

  5. Blackzilla Says:

    1st that first shit GAY.

2nd do ya’ll think women are the reason that hip-hop died? Because almost every fuckin girl i talk 2 loves weezy. i mean my cousin fuckin started dissing me and shit cuz i said i wasnt a wayne fan. She even went as far as to say that 50 was better than Nas. Then i asked her if she had ever heard Illmatic and she aint have no response. I mean even Pac told Big he had 2 make songs 4 the bitches if he wanted 2 blow up.

Personally, i think women have a hand in the commercialization of hip-hop.

  9. rex hussla Says:

Plug…even if those fuckers kiss your ass you should go back, not buy shit, cop a car at another dealership and drive it back to Lexus dealership. Let them know how much commission they’re missing out on, with the economy the way it is that shit would burn slow right there.

^^ well theres your problem right there. You might as well roc a championship hoodie, a 4xxl white tee, and some timbs cuz you seem to be stuck in the 90’s.

If was salesman I wouldent waste my time on you either unless I knew your were the local dopeboy or some up and coming rapper.

Theres rules to this game and you know it, so I don’t understand when cats play dumb. (no shots fired)

  16. Iceberg Slimm Says:

@Blackzilla: The death of hip hop falls on two parts: Puff and Big & the music business. Puff & Big were the first to come with that flashy shit and make number one hits. The difference between then and now is Big could actually rap and Puff knew some people who could actually write his raps. The music business (a.k.a. some Tall Isrealis) caught wind of this and knew if they pushed the commercial appeal forward it would take over. Then comes Eminem, Nelly, 50 Cent, etc. and here we stand today. The average rap CD sucks so bad now, people don’t wanna buy any. Its June and the only respectable CD to drop so far has been Rising Down so that should show you something. Don’t expect rap to live past 2013.

Yea…then you should just go the rex way. And make sure you go through every car. I’m talking SUVs, hybrids, jeeps, beach cruisers, 18 wheelers, and any other thing on the lot. Then test drive em all, ask uneccesary nigga questions like “how many inches are these rims?”, “you think I should put some speakers in the back” or “you think the bitches’ll like this shit my nigga”. Then get down to the real business and when he says the price go nuts and tell him he told you something like 3 grand under that and walk out talking all kinda shit. (And make sure you waste just one man’s time somewhere arounds 6-8 hours.)

    I c/s with some execptions..

Puff added to downfall, no way does he carry the cross for the state of hip hop. The state of hip hop was in signs of trouble before puff got his harlem shake on. I don’t why Eminem is named in your rant, even though he dropped some bubblegum, the nigga is legit top 10 MC of all time. Also whats happening to hip hop is no different than what happend to any music genre. There comes a time where corporate greed takes over artistic integrity. Every genre had to evolve and cut the fat and keep the ternderloin.

HipHop will live past 2013, it will just will be in a very different form, good or bad I don’t know. The shit you love and grew up on will probably go underground. Once the TI blood suckers (no antisemtimism) dry the well for all its worth, the creative MCs with actual skill will still stand.

Also hip hop fans took part of killing of hip hop, backpackers, the fake fans, the old heads, the new jacks, the wiggers, the white girls, etc

Niggas wana root for the fav rapper like the nigga is in a battlefiled about to go war… fine hip hop is supposed to be competitive, but CATS TOOK TO FUCKING FAR.

I’m rambling now but I just want to say there was time I completely gave up on Hip Hop, I listend to Coldplay (real talk) for a min… then I found Nah Right and other hip hop blogs, and they renewed the fire in me I had for HipHop.

NR&others will ride the course till the wheels fall off… I think rapblogs are keeping hip hop on life support for now…

  45. pockets Says:

    no homo

  46. Iceberg Slimm Says:

@buddyholly: Appreciate your opinion but let me clarify a couple things.

    a. Hip hop will not live past 2013 but rap will. As you said “it will just will be in a very different form.” Hip hop is damn near gone already and most hip hop artists are already too “old” in most fans eyes.

    b. Not to take anything away from Em (upon further review he did make my top ten), but sometimes his shit was too poppy. “Just Lose It”, “When I’m Gone”, “You Don’t Know” are just a few examples. But if you insist, I’ll exempt him form my rant.

And here’s my top 10 for your sake:

    1. Nas
    2. Jay
    3. Big
    4. Cube
    5. Wu-Tang
    6. OutKast
    7. Public Enemy
    8. Rakim
    9. Eminem
    10.Pac (i guess)

Man I totally agree with u about the Jews takin’ over (no anti-semitism) & Biggie & Puff started a trend but the problem with the industry is that its so profit-driven that they gotta make clones and shit. Biggie and Puff had the skills though to make hits, you can’t deny it. But the industry is filled with copycats and shit. If they hadn’t put their control on the music we would be looking at whole different rap game today

  48. Blackzilla Says:

    @buddyholly:

yo nigga u aint the only 1 who had 2 divert from this rap bullshit. i had 2 started listenin 2 my niggas marvin gaye, al green, the ohio players and just some R&B shit and a little U2. Hip-hop will survive tho
