Swizz Beatz, Cassidy, Drag-On, Maino, Styles P & Talib Kweli – Stand Up (Sean Bell Tribute)

bell-protest.jpg

Yeah, I know, not another Sean Bell tribute. Well all of these guys are already famous on some level, so you can’t accuse them of looking for publicity. And this shit is actually pretty damn good too.

Produced by the Heatmakerz and swacked from AHH.

“some level” is a good disclaimer, cuz I was just about to say you were reaching like Reed Richards regarding Maino.

I would choose a beat from manny for the single, & dedicate a song to my moms over the alchemist beat. See what i’m saying?

    Yeah Joe…I feel that…

I’ve got a lot of 12″ in my stash [ll] with Alchemist production…he gave some crazy beats to real underground cats (TWINS, Agallah, High & Mighty, Tragedy, Buc Fifty, etc.)…some might say they went to waste

Wait, drag-on is on this song? Nevermind

SMH @ his whole gimmick being based around being fire, his first video he was a fireman, then dissed wayne for making the song “fireman”. lol Dudes a joke

    ha ha…no comment.

  9. b-ease Says:

Drag-On’s biting of Cam’s style when he first dropped was arguably the most blatant swagger jacking (sorry for using that term, couldnt think of another) in the history of hip hop.

I think this is one of the best lines from that jada diss

Picture kiss not come out swinging, that’s like going to see 50 at a show & he don’t come out singing

^Dayum, clever, witty, & true all in 2 bars

^co-sign…I wanted people to make a bigger deal out of that line…all of these dumb ass 50 fans that was on his dick when he “ended” Ja’s career when all he really did was sing his wack ass singing style.

^To be fair, 5th did a better imitation of Ja than Ja. Word to the hooks on various G-Unit songs that are melodic and memorable. I used to want to roundhouse him through a bar window for sacrificing the street joints for the commercial joints, but people need to act like they wasn’t singing along to Bank’s “Smile” song from the G-Unit album. That song is STILL fire, along with other joints. Still…

    mixtape Unit > commercial Unit

^You wildin’. That song made me a LOX fan I started checkin’ for their mixtapes ever since. I never really thought of “Big Poppa” in a gay way until you just brought it up, so it is what it is. As for the kids signing the hook, I thought that was a nice touch to the record. It was symbolic of him being well-liked as a person and not just a rapper. Like, anybody that has ever been interviewed, whether behind the scenes or the artists themselves, never had a bad thing to say about Big. Regardless, it’s one of the best tribute songs to a rapper.

Juelz Santana is the most unintentionally funny rapper out

    ———————

Played games, but the games was bad
You know, cops and robbers, laser tag, see what I was aiming at
Hop scotch on niggaz faces kept my ankles bad
That ain’t stop me from working I got me a worker
Gotta him to work, and yeah, chopping the work up
Keep him on my clock, clocking my work up, niggaz know me
Taught him how to cook, livin his work up
Told him it’s not the pot, it’s the worker, gotta mix shorty
Gotta do it like this shorty
Clockwise, counter-clockwise, it’s all in the wrist shorty
    Fuck with me

    … AYE ! …
