  13. D. Billz Says:

    Revo Uninstaller is that wave.

Ok, so I copped a new phone and decided to get the Windows Mobile 6.0 feature poppin’. I wanted to be able to sync media (pics, music, and video) from the hard drive to the phone and vice versa. Well, come to find that out that WM 6.0 doesn’t properly install well. After some googling, it turns out that many people have trouble with WM 6.0 i.e. failed installtions, mimimal syncing, etc. Well, a few forums suggest 6.1, so I attempted to install it and that didn’t go well either. So I said, fuck it, I’ll just uninstall it. Well, there are two parts that gets put on your hard drive during the installation: Windows Mobile Device Center, and the Windows Mobile Device Center Driver Update. Well, the Device Center alone had no problems with the uninstallation. But the Driver Update would not uninstall. I tried like 4 times in a row and that shit stayed in my program files… laughing at me. It would act like it was performing an uninstallation by having the green indicator bar go from left to right, and then once done, go back down from right to left again. So, I googled again to see what the forum geeks had to say and a few people had the same problem and nobody had a solution. So, I went to Download.com and searched “uninstaller” and Revo Unistaller came up as the top choice, with other 500K downloads and it was just added earlier this month. Out like 49 reviews, only 4 or 5 said they had problems. But I’m assuming they either a.) didn’t know what they were doing, b.) got a more concentrated problem, or c.) wear helmets and drool on windows. It’s mad simple. Installation was a breeze, and once you select Run, the program starts and shows you all of the shit that’s intalled on your hard drive that wasn’t on there originally during purchase. I was frustated all of last night and for like 2 hours his morning before I found this.

So, the point is… if any of yall got Vista (which I don’t is that bad as many people claim), DO NOT FUCK WITH WINDOWS MOBILE. Period.

  14. anons Says:

    overproduced.

Common is great but he’s not a versatile artist. the man has one lane and it includes beats by kanye, no i.d., j dilla…etc. this spacy, euro club neptunes shit is not for him but he always wanna go on adventures. Stay in ur lane, Lonnie

  15. D. Billz Says:

P.S. Revo Uninstaller… cut the check.

    Ow.

  16. Mark Twain Fame Says:

ya’ll need to chill…he said its gonna be more of a poppy neptunes funky sounding type ish. he even said that too…that left field Electric Circus type of ish…

  25. T.R.E.Y. Says:

another wack Pharrell beat. i honestly think The Neptunes are one of the dopest production teams ever but you wouldn’t know it from some of dude’s recent output.

hopefully that N.E.R.D. album turns out to be the exception, “Spazz” is pretty nice.

  26. Nanyanen Says:

Off the topic… That Termanology mixtape w/ Statik got some fire to it.

if you are shut off your computer.

  35. Dun Says:

Please, everybody, STOP FRONTING, this track is crazy and on some real true original hiphop shit with that Planet Rock feel to it. This is not your typical Neptunes production and this is not your typical Common performance. He’s trying to add on to his repertoire, and as an artist what is wrong with that? This isn’t even on some futuristic shit to me, it’s straight spitting over a hard beat. I don’t get the backlash here. You want him to lean and rock with it or some shit? Wow.

    *stunned*

  37. G7 Says:

Pharrell stay ruining songs. This is Common’s weakest song in a very very long time. It’s struggling. No hate at all btw. Always been a fan.

thats what I was thinking when I heard the track esp when Skateboard P does the course…

I admit not the best common sogn I ever heard but not the worse either…it’s decent. just a different sound…dudes easily Top 10, a legend, has his money, has his musical legacy, the whole nine yards, let dude breath and have some fun. thats what I say.

naw not saying its okay, just sayin everybody is bitchin and whinning about this new sound and oh this aint his lane and whaaa I need my pacifier yada yada but he did say it was gonna be a different sound so get use to it or get over it. simple as that, why bitch about it?

  49. D. Billz Says:

    Ok, I’m listening now…

This beat is pifftastic. However, I don’t like Com over it. It sounds more hipsterish than anything. Like, I could picture Cool Kidz, KITH, Mickey, Pac Div, etc. doin’ a joint like this. I understand Com tried a diff. lane but for him it just doesn’t mesh well. I guarantee you’re gonna hear at least ONE of the aforementioned groups release a song over this beat and watch how much better it sounds.

    Beat – 4.5/5
    Com – 1.5/5

    My Tilt > your Blackjack

^Nah. And I had Tilt cash and was contemplating coppin’ it, but for the functions available, I was gettin’ the same thing but for less dough. Two of my classmates in diff. classes got the Tilt. Only feature Tilt got over BJII is push-to-talk, which I don’t use anyway.

my battery life > your battery life

  56. Brad Cessley Says:

    D. Billz, I half agree. I think this did have a hipster feel to it, but I don’t think Common came off that bad at all. SMH for dudes acting like he has no business experimenting though. Fuck outa here with that shit. Like dude above said, get used to it or get over it…

  60. 40ozking Says:

The Neptunes should’ve gave this track to Pitbull and Lil Jon… Common sounds horrible on it. I hope they come with some better shit cuz this isn’t a good look.

On another note, The two Just Blaze tracks that Lonnie is suppose to use are fire! If he records them, he should put them on Electric Circus and re-issue that album. The sound of that album (which didn’t work in 2002 because it was ahead of it’s time) would work today…

  61. G7 Says:

you owe me > universal mind control

  62. Dun Says:

Um, has anybody here even ever seen Com live? Dude is all about dancing and routinely busts windmills on stage. He is a b-boy at heart. That is a straight up throwback hiphop beat, vintage breakdancing music, and he’s spitting hard, old school style. How is this a pop song? I don’t get it. Not to mention Com’s rhymes are not wack at all on this track. Fast from the heart yall and grow up.

  63. anons Says:

[…] It seems to me like that defeats the whole purpose of the album, no? In April, Lonnie told Billboard, “I created this music for the summer time, it’s about feeling good.” I haven’t heard anything off IS except Universal Mind Control, but I felt like I had a good idea of where he was trying to go with this album, and I was looking forward to hearing it during the hazy summer months. I’m not sure that all that feel good shit is going to have the same impact in October. 2247 […]
