Papoose Facing Suit Over “Ambulance” Video

I mentioned this in passing before. It turns out Pap is facing a lawsuit for tricking an EMT crew into appearing in the video for his Uncle Murda dis “Ambulance.”

Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corp. founder Rocky Robinson, says rapper Papoose, whose real name is Shamele Mackie, snookered him into allowing an ambulance and his paramedics to be part of the project.

“His people told us the video would be about the neighborhood and how we respond to save lives,” Robinson said. “We don’t want to be a part of something where somebody gets hurt.”

Robinson says he now plans legal action, saying Papoose “probably hasn’t got much, but we’ll sue anyway. Our image is everything to us.”

    ^^^^^

Bun B is a big fan of UK music…He’s trying to bring Dizzee to Rap-A-Lot…

UGK & Diz’ did a few songs together…Bun’s on his Tony Hawks…

& Yeah Lo K, that Busta tune is heavy…Busta will run rings around ALOTTA MCs

LeBron vs. DeShawn had been mainly an off-court rivalry, prompted in part by Stevenson calling James overrated, and extending to involve rap megastar Jay-Z and one-hit wonder Soulja Boy. James’ pal Jay-Z created a song dissing Stevenson that was played at a D.C. club this weekend.

“He’s worth $500 million, and he’s writing songs about me,” Stevenson said before tipoff. “What does that say about DeShawn Stevenson? Ballin’!”

**I can’t say shit about “She-male”, except that since that name leaked, Papoose has been getting a rack of phone calls from Ma$e and Eddie Murphy about doing collabos….

For real, though, it’s a better name than “Papoose”…

Doesn’t look good for the Wizards’ chances of retaining Agent Zero:

Arenas was so “distracted” and “flustered” by the way things ended, he forgot about his postgame ritual of throwing his jersey into the stands to give a fan a souvenir.

Whatever emotional lift he might have given his teammates, whatever excitement his mere presence might have given the crowd, Arenas was not exactly helpful at the outset. When he sat with 3 1/2 minutes left in the first quarter, his line gave whole new meaning to his nickname “Agent Zero”: zero points, zero field-goal attempts, zero foul shots, one assist, one foul, and four of Washington’s five turnovers.

Arenas’ first points didn’t come until a reverse layup in the third quarter, and he finished with 10 in a series-high 32 minutes.

“This is not my team,” Arenas said. “This is Antawn’s and Caron’s team.”

MTF: I was mad at P becasue of the advance copy. He most likely got the bad reviews from the advance. but all the songs are different on the retail. this cd is cerified classic

  24. RIGZ Says:

    Nah, Busta aint the GOAT…

But he is one OF the greatest to do it & criminally underrated…

Live Performance (a REAL live perfomance, not 50 ppl on stage)
    Originality
    Versatility
    Flow
    Longevity
    Charisma
    Showmanship

He’s got a good argument to be at the top of all those things…And been in this since LONS & he’ll still pick up the mic with Papoose & not get outshined…

I never understood why Busta never gets paid his dues

How can you be so successful and STILL be underrated??

His persona and those big budget videos overshadowed the fact that he was (is) an actual MC. Catch-22 tho, because he wouldnt have had half the success without.

HNIC 2 is dope, but I still maintain that leaving off “Still Slaves” and “My World is Empty” are unforgivable mistakes…

I’m most def certian there are a good few that are better than Busta but damn Soul he’s not that bad…dudes had a good career…the past few years and the hulked up more angrier styled busta has been kinda so so, but still…

I was actually really pleasantly surprised at HNIC 2… hearing the opening track talking about forget the other shit and stock up on weapons while decrying the illuminati was unexpected…

I need a couple more listens, but I think it’s better than the first one… it makes me wonder why he doesn’t rap like that all the time…
