    Who knows…lol…

I guess because Ministry Of Sound is a powerful little tourist attractment, plus MOS has alot of power & money…But I dunno…

But then again, if Stratford Rex still is open, ANYWHERE can get a license…Rex has been sprayed up so much times I’ve lost count. they shut down, then open up a couple months later…One of my boys is doing time behind one of the shootings as we type…

And no Jaffa Cakes??? Shit, Down Under stays losing on the snacks front…

But i gotta duck, I gotta pick up someone at Gatwick…

    Stay up blud. 1.

Went to church yesterday for Plug Jr’s Christianing. I arrived late after not coming to church in almost 2 years. And the first thing I gotta do when I walk in the building is walk up to the front of the church and get the oil on the forehead. I guess I aint living as well as I should be because I was nervous up there… Or maybe just blinded by the ice from the pastors roley. Either way the room temperature up there was at least 173 degrees.

    ^Great minds…

But nah, everybody did their thing. They didn’t really have a choice after Budden came in there all aggie ready to slap one of Lantern’s weed carriers and decided to rip one of my favorite apocalyptic songs ever, “Last Dayz”.

Alica keys gangster rap was a conspiracy by the white man to make us kill each other

^I feel what my wifey is tryin’ to say, but the term “gangsta rap” was created by the gov’t to segregate us with labels. The people who created the music never seperated it with labels. It was either good or wack. They placed the label on it to make it seem that one is true embodiment of negativity while the others (“backpack”,”conscious”, or whatever you wanna call it), was the true embodiment of positive. Neither is true. Many artists have the same agenda but choose different avenues to achieve the same goal or convey the same TYPE of message. Many say that NWA rapped about similar topics as Public Enemy. But with Public Enemy, they offered solutions to the problem that involved change. With NWA, it was more of a rebellious nature without much advice but strived for liberation via weaponry, husslin’, etc. IMO, PE’s agenda was a little more tactful but NWA was just as adament. Unfortunately, NWA’s major flaw was the vivid depictions of Black-on-Black violence in their music which was a cause for concern because we never talked about hurtin’ in such a grotesque away until NWA hit the scene. That birthed a whole other movement of music that eventually led to it being taken over by East Coast artists, BUT with an intelligent perspective and often random jewels dropped in between (Wu-Tang, Boot Camp Clik, Nas, Kool G. Rap, Big L, Naughty By Nature, etc). At this point, it seemed we had a pretty strong hold on hip hop and it revived it by offering both the balance of street music (NWA) and intelligence (Public Enemy). And then here comes Puffy… which is a whole OTHER topic…

So nah, I don’t agree that “gangsta” rap was a conspiracy because many “conscious” artists have hardcore points of view or lyrics from time to time. But I do believe the goverment, as they usually are, were opportunists and a saw a situation they could capitalize on, steer in the the direction THEY wanted it to go, segreate us, and ultimately destroy us and get rid of us a people. And it was the creators (us as Nubians) fault for allowing them to infiltrate and control the music that we created for us, by us (no LL endorsed clothing).
