Nah it was dope, the Mrs behaved, the weather was amazing and the women get their tits out on the beaches in Sydney, amazing. My Mrs also got her tits out which I wasn’t too chuffed about but I kept it moving anyway no doubt.

    question for Nah massive:

I recently closed on a multi family house, there where tenants already living in the dweling. Yesterday po-po came by the crib looking for a dude, who happens to be the boyfriend of one of my tenants. I wasnt there I was at work, but my brother told them that I was the Landlord (no Land). The detective called my this morning and asked me if I had a contact number for ole boy. I told him he’s not the tenant on file, its his girlfriend who signed the lease, and added that my wifey possibly has the number. I told him i’ll give her a call and get back to him.

I dont know dude from Adam, but part of me feels I should give home boy a heads up. Then theres also the other side, he could be a violent offender, even worst some type child molester.

Having just wrapped up a three-month residency at Manhattan’s Battery Studios — a $300,000 expense expected to yield $30 million by Poke’s hasty calculations — Poke and Tone have left their respective posts as television producer and Universal Motown VP to “get back to what we do best,” Poke asserts with a sense of manifest destiny, “to save hip-hop.” Along with their newly assembled team of underling producers, consisting of Frequency, The ARE, Just Nyce and Ace 21, Track Masters are back in full swing, and they’re looking for hits.

In the mixing room, Tone and Poke worked out the finishing touches while advising engineers and rearranging song structures. Simultaneously, in an adjacent room, songwriters and ghostwriters — including rappers Iron Solomon and Punchline and R&B crooners Quo, Range and the Wonder Twins — wrote ferociously on a variety of artist-specific topics. “We always have someone in mind for the songs that we make,” Poke says. “If I’m making a song for Snoop, it’s going to sound like some West Coast funk shit. We’re gonna do more than just put a Moog on there; we’re gonna get the feel of those records — Parliament, Funkadelic, etc. The same can be said for the hooks, choruses and verses. They’re artist-specific.”

The last leg of Track Masters’ assembly line ends with in-house studio musician and producer, Spanador. An adept musician who once taught Vernon Reid guitar and bass during his days in Living Colour, Spanador re-creates samples and grooves with live instruments, adding a thickness and swing that recorded samples and MIDI simply can’t replicate. “He does more than just replay samples; he’s adding a feel,” Poke says. “He’s a producer more than a studio musician.”

I guess it could be done, since the Grateful Dead are still caking up offa touring, like 15 yrs after their frontman checked out….

… they BEEN touring without him for a while now … Maurice has Parkinsons … his brother Verdine, & Philip Bailey are trying to carry on the legacy by toring with a bunch of replacement players, but its incredibly sad to see … and the other original core members of the group (ace guitarist Al McKay & keyboard virtuoso Larry Dunn) hated Maurice’s guts, so they have started their own projects and are doing well without EWF …

***Where @- prolly Constitution Hall, huh? They got some kinda old school show w/the Dells coming to Upper Marlboro in May….real talk, I go to a lot of concerts, but as far as stage presence, interaction with the audience, and swagger, not many acts are fucking with “Morris Day and the Time”…real talk- for a bootleg Prince, dude has a solid catalog of hits….

Jedi Mind Tricks, Violent By Design Intro innit…?

^ Correct. The quote is from Planet of The Apes (the 1960’s version). I first heard it used by Paris on the track ‘Devil Made Me Do it’ waaay back in time. JMT were using it to set out their stall in respects of the violent themes on that album. I think. You may have to ask Vinnie Paz.

I like the quote, that’s all.

Anyway… Wha’ gwan Nah? Land, Big Homie, Romez, reggaeton, Ike, Miss Green (Lyrical dream)… everybody?
