^ If they do, they do not get out much. They have tix for the Jay and Mary show here in DC for that price as well for close floor seats. Rest of the seats in the entire Verizon Center are 150. The very top seats which are the shitty seats that most of the time give away for 20 bucks at any other event, are going for 90 for the concert…smh

    ___________________________________________________________

See…for something like THAT I might change my stance, but I’ve seen Outkast for FREE once and it was a two hour show.

One of the best lineups I’ve ever seen was at the San Diego Sports Arena called the “Bombazzi Tour”?!?!?!! Shit was hella unorganized but check the lineup:

    Slick Rick
    Too Short
    The Roots & Dice Raw
    Souls of Mischief
    KRS-One
    Daz & Kurupt
    DJ Quik & Suga Free

and they promoted it terribly, nobody was there…practically no security so it was Smokefest up in that bitch…all for $40

  46. Mark Twain Fame Says:

Malice= slightly more whinning tone, but deeper voice. says more serious stuff.

Pusha= lil more hyper, more funny similies and metaphors.

there voices are really close sounding, but after a while you can tell, after Lord Willin’ I knew who was who.

I always look at Malice being a more serious New York style, and Pusha beign a mroe laid back West coast style.

in the Rainy Dayz track, Pusha raps first. then Malice.

….. yeah Budden doesn’t go to with the bass too much, in fact he doesn’t put as much emphasis on the beat as he should, he is straight up lyrics, I agree its more ipod music, but like I said a bunch of times I think buddens is among the best because he talks about real shit ( home girl with the brain tumor that shit is powerful ) no one is as nice or consistent with the sports/current event punch lines and no one today makes you hit the rewind button more than him and thats my favorite part of listening to a rapper, the rewind factor ….

    * daps plug for starting to come around * but yeah you won’t get that bass from Budden he doesn’t want to drown out the impact of his lyrics if you ask me most songs with bass are just simple catchy jingles he wants you to real hear what he is saying and get his message across

… you have to admit they are similar in alot of ways which is why I pull your card for being a cani stan but hating on joey, both are not good at picking beats, both are probably too lyrical for their own good and go waaaay over most heads,

but I think budden does make some damn good music alot of the time I mean i’ve named them all before but 10 minutes, walk with me, 3 sides to a story, dear diary, all of me, calm down and many more are all great songs that would be hard to match by anyone and that is not the stan talking, his songs are too real for people but still overall great songs none the less

    hey two times alls well

lmao @ fux. you stuck son. HR chicks pushing for a relationship of some sort. and smh for falling for it. what happened to your swag? fabe dogg would be ashamed.

^^ Nah Greens my swag is what is causing her to fall for the kid, I dropped I dont want a relationship(how Ironic, i have a girl) shit on saturday early at the club and still smashed. So I dont know what the fuck she said she just wants to have fun, whatever. She shows up tonight and I am going to hit on one of her friends in front of her, see how much fun that is. I got girlfriend and I dont need another. Fabe Dogg wanted to smash her and I let him loose Saturday Night he couldnt close it, So I Trevor Hoffman’d and came for the save and the close. My Swag is incredible right now, word to last year this time when I lost it for half-stepping!

Couldn’t it just be that Buddens is your favorite rapper, and not a lot of people particularly care for him? Why do you try to push Buddens down people’s throats so much? Lyrics is only one part of the game. He’s lacking in a lot of other categories. There is more to rap than just lyrics.

I think you are just going to have to bite the bullet, that you are one of 20 people that really like joe budden a lot. Everyone has that rapper that they like that no one listens too, it’s part of human nature.

… I don’t try to force him on anyone, smh @ me holding a gun to someones head saying like Budden, I’m just saying people diss him and say he is a nobody with no talent when thats clearly not true, I can’t fault you if you don’t like his music there are plenty of rock bands I don’t like but I can respect their guitar playing ability thats all I am saying, and stop under exagerating there are waaay more than 20 budden fans on this site alone and I personally know more than 20 buddens stan, I usually avoid all budden convos no on here, but Plug mentioned that he is starting to realize dudes got some serious spit, he just needs more bass and better beats, and I won’t argue that but for people who like thought provoking lyrics about shit anyone and everyone can relate to there aren’t many better than joe, if you don’t fall into that category than k.i.m. how is that pushing him on anyone ?

and for the record 9& % of the rappers I listen to would fall under the same category, because they are all the same type of rappers but theres a whole shit load more of people like me than you think

    Budden
    Termanlogy
    Jay electronica
    Royce da 5’9
    Grafh/ Saigon

if push comes to shove I’d say Saigon of Grafh but I think Grafh got the best flow of anyone in the game right now, I just wanna hear what Saigon says more

Wow, I see you are a literalist. Meaning you took every point literally. What do you say to a literalist? Stop taking things so seriously? Appreciate something for what it is.

Can I break it down for you so you’ll get the gist of the meaning and the sum of its parts, rather than transliterating like a hebrew scribe?

20 fans meant= He has a low fanbase- That was the gist

Forcing him on someone= passionately willing someone to try to listen to his music and understanding him. Force does not always equal using a gun.

Force.— Doesn’t mean using a weapon of sorts. It can be used by coercion of others mean. But in the blog sense, I I never seen you, nor have I seen you with a gun, so how can your illustration be provided in that manner?

You took the definition of Force way too literal and even in your context you provided an example of force which is not all encompassing of the usage of the word.

With that being said Joe budden has a minute* fanbase. He is a good rapper, with skills but lacks certain elements to make it big time.

    * minute= small in size or volume, not the 60 second span.

I dissagree i think buddens knows that the shit he goes through are thing most people in the world go through as well “is it wrong for me to wish i could get my cum back” (none)

He my be selfish cause he spits his own stories (but im sure some of them are stories he has heard from others) and in reality i aint in the club making it rain on some hoes so i would rather listen to someone talking about what i might be going through…. just like what 3000 said

I agree top 5 and to a certain point I agree about if you haven’t been through or at least known someone who has been though the drug habit baby mama drama another man calling your son daddy ” his names dwyane so why the FUCK you calling him daddy ” but there are definitley people who have been through that shit that never want to be reminded of it ever again so the avoid it like the plague, Budden always says he’s music is therapy for him but IMO it’s therapy for people like him in some way or another as well, if you listen closely you can relate and often times he can give you a new way to look at something or more often than not he can find a way to paraphrase how you feel better than you can, it’s not like I listen to him like damn he just helped me get my life straight but he puts feelings into words like I never could

    ” saying jump-off don’t sound right /
    is blamphemous downright /
    I astound mics /

    >>man motherfuck a rapper, supporting these assholes doesnt increase my net worth any. fuck em all.

    it does for me.

    ^I bet.

And to answer your question, it doesn’t matter how many people he has employed to work in the entertainment business for HIM, whether directly or indirectly. What concerns me more is the myriad amount of underprivileged children and teens who have to go to deplorable school situations: underfunded programs, lack of books, building maintenance, etc. Givin’ out Xmas gifts and turkeys once a year on some Nino Brown shit falls short of what is expected from him. The more he has the more he should give back. And then had the nerve to use our own people in the Motherland as a funded publicity stunt to finance and promote his own album. Jena… no show. Katrina… no show. Cops poppin’ off at us… no show. His monetary tax-write offs that he pass as “gifts” is a slap in the face. The people sense a better connection when you’re in the trenches with them… shakin’ hands, school lectures, community service, etc. He’s rich enough so I’m sure missing a few meetings won’t hurt his pockets. Why all of a sudden people who were close to him have surfaced and duly noted his snake-like behavior? Sure, their strategy wasn’t tactful. And for a minute I used to think everyone was just a “Jay-hater” at some point too. But even the ones who have come to the frontline of his defense and would’ve DIED for him (which consisted of most of the Roc roster durin’ their hay-day) are also speakin’ on how he has distanced himself. It has become quite clear that this man cut ties with people who have helped him established his status if you’re not with the program. That includes fans, roster of MC’s, friends, the community… whoever. But I guess stating substantial evidence, whether proven to be true or not, makes me a “hater” of some sort. And I’ve probably come to his defense in the past more than many of my peers. People say, “well DefJam is a more than a hip hop label, and r&b is sellin’ now blah blah blah.” But lets be honest here… with a sincere push from Jay, he can increase the sales of ANYTHING he’s involved with: music, sports, clothes, etc. Yet, we’ve heard complaints from Meth, the Roots, Ghost, Peedi, Buddens, Beans, Freeway, LL, and others, of him not living up to the responsibilities of his tenure. So that usually leads to the, “what about the other label execs that jerk everyone? nobody says anything to them?” And that’s true. But when a person who you thought would be more understanding because they were once in the same shoes decides to pull the same stunts as the TI’s, then his integrity is questioned and people feel that he was probably in it for himself the whole time. It’s no different then a young Black male who has to work under a person from another culture, finally gets someone who looks like him and comes from where he comes from as the new boss… only to find out that the Black male cares less than the guy before him. It makes him feel he was better off before the Black man arrived. Even Kevin Liles, off the record, forewarned the execs it was a bad idea. But the powers-that-be knew they had right “one” in place to do exactly what they wanted him to do. So to reiterate, the answer is “no”… I don’t know how many people are employed because of him. But I’m sure the amount of people employed is far less significant than the amount of people he left behind.
