    >>man motherfuck a rapper, supporting these assholes doesnt increase my net worth any. fuck em all.

    it does for me.

    ^I bet.

And to answer your question, it doesn’t matter how many people he has employed to work in the entertainment business for HIM, whether directly or indirectly. What concerns me more is the myriad amount of underprivileged children and teens who have to go to deplorable school situations: underfunded programs, lack of books, building maintenance, etc. Givin’ out Xmas gifts and turkeys once a year on some Nino Brown shit falls short of what is expected from him. The more he has the more he should give back. And then had the nerve to use our own people in the Motherland as a funded publicity stunt to finance and promote his own album. Jena… no show. Katrina… no show. Cops poppin’ off at us… no show. His monetary tax-write offs that he pass as “gifts” is a slap in the face. The people sense a better connection when you’re in the trenches with them… shakin’ hands, school lectures, community service, etc. He’s rich enough so I’m sure missing a few meetings won’t hurt his pockets. Why all of a sudden people who were close to him have surfaced and duly noted his snake-like behavior? Sure, their strategy wasn’t tactful. And for a minute I used to think everyone was just a “Jay-hater” at some point too. But even the ones who have come to the frontline of his defense and would’ve DIED for him (which consisted of most of the Roc roster durin’ their hay-day) are also speakin’ on how he has distanced himself. It has become quite clear that this man cut ties with people who have helped him established his status if you’re not with the program. That includes fans, roster of MC’s, friends, the community… whoever. But I guess stating substantial evidence, whether proven to be true or not, makes me a “hater” of some sort. And I’ve probably come to his defense in the past more than many of my peers. People say, “well DefJam is a more than a hip hop label, and r&b is sellin’ now blah blah blah.” But lets be honest here… with a sincere push from Jay, he can increase the sales of ANYTHING he’s involved with: music, sports, clothes, etc. Yet, we’ve heard complaints from Meth, the Roots, Ghost, Peedi, Buddens, Beans, Freeway, LL, and others, of him not living up to the responsibilities of his tenure. So that usually leads to the, “what about the other label execs that jerk everyone? nobody says anything to them?” And that’s true. But when a person who you thought would be more understanding because they were once in the same shoes decides to pull the same stunts as the TI’s, then his integrity is questioned and people feel that he was probably in it for himself the whole time. It’s no different then a young Black male who has to work under a person from another culture, finally gets someone who looks like him and comes from where he comes from as the new boss… only to find out that the Black male cares less than the guy before him. It makes him feel he was better off before the Black man arrived. Even Kevin Liles, off the record, forewarned the execs it was a bad idea. But the powers-that-be knew they had right “one” in place to do exactly what they wanted him to do. So to reiterate, the answer is “no”… I don’t know how many people are employed because of him. But I’m sure the amount of people employed is far less significant than the amount of people he left behind.

Joe Buddens raps like his personal demons or dilemmas are superior to those of the listener, JUST MY OPINION TY. No Shots cuz Joey is a superior MC

… I can see how you would say that, and he would probably agree, he always says his music is therapy for him he isn’t as concerned about sales, I just think he puts his all his heart, emotions ( good or well mostly bad ) and everything into his music but thats what i fuck with the most you know your getting a genuine product that means something to the rapper that comes across the track to me and I appreciate that but like Foe said some people listen to music ( especially rap ) as an escape of some sorts and thats cool to, do you

” so let me start doing what dudes like /
i’m in the booth feeling fresher than some new nikes /
and I cruise like cruise control /
FUCK THAT I can’t do it I might lose my soul /

it would defeat the whole purpose /
naw that ain’t what Jerz is /
naw that would be worthless /
    bars sounding nervous /
a nigga much deeper than what you see on the surface /
I’d rather resort back to snatching purses /

Yeah Billz? Lemme ask you this. How do you know what Jay does with his money? Are you privy to his finances? Do you know how much he gives to charitable causes each year? Of course you don’t, so how can you speak on any of that?

As for the X-Mas gifts , turkeys etc, you’re right, it be much better if he didn’t do any of that shit. The trip to Africa? did it bring him publicity, sure, I don’t think anybody said it didn’t. But it also brought awareness to an important issue.

As for anybody from Jay’s past, don’t talk to me about niggas in the hood turning on people. you and I both know this is a common everyday occurrence with anybody who becomes successful.

Furthermore, do you know the intricate details of Jay’s relationship with DeHaven? with Jaz-O? With Klein? Do you know Jay’s side of any of those stories? Cuz personally, I don’t like to make judgments about relationships that I know nothing about, but thats just me.

All I know is that ya’ll niggas as fans and spectators have no concrete reason for the hatred ya’ll are projecting at that man other than the amount of paper he’s making.

so what does that say about ya’ll?

  31. No more ty big's just call me Kenard Says:

Wow, I see you are a literalist. Meaning you took every point literally. What do you say to a literalist? Stop taking things so seriously? Appreciate something for what it is.

Can I break it down for you so you’ll get the gist of the meaning and the sum of its parts, rather than transliterating like a hebrew scribe?

20 fans meant= He has a low fanbase- That was the gist

Forcing him on someone= passionately willing someone to try to listen to his music and understanding him. Force does not always equal using a gun.

Force.— Doesn’t mean using a weapon of sorts. It can be used by coercion of others mean. But in the blog sense, I I never seen you, nor have I seen you with a gun, so how can your illustration be provided in that manner?

You took the definition of Force way too literal and even in your context you provided an example of force which is not all encompassing of the usage of the word.

With that being said Joe budden has a minute* fanbase. He is a good rapper, with skills but lacks certain elements to make it big time.

    * minute= small in size or volume, not the 60 second span.

…. how come only one side of an internet discussion can exagerate and when the other comes back and exagerates they are being to literal or reaching, I know you didn’t mean literally 20 people but why is Budden always refered to as the internets favorite rapper ? probably cause he has an army of iiiiiiiinterneeeeeettttt sooooooldiers, so yeah he isn’t the most popular alive but to clown him on some he has 20 fans is ridiculous cause his fan base is bigger than a shit load of artist and just cause they are on the internet doesn’t mean they aren’t real people,

the gun thing was obviously a joke give me a break but I used to sit here and say just listen to this track just check this verse I learned years ago when someone makes up their mind about a rapper you can’t change it so I don’t try, I have not once today tried to force him on shit, in fact all this started cause Plug said he has recently gained a new respect for budden lyricism and I gave him daps for it, then I misconstrued what babydoll said and took it to the some people would rather hear fairy tale shit to escape from real life thats all I said I fail to see how thats me trying to force or coerce someone to listen to budden, I know I’m not convincing anyone on here to now start listening to him he is well known especially on here you either hate him love him ( none ) or could take him or leave it and I’m not changing that and or trying to your the one trying to downplay his impact on hip-hop thats it

    — Do you think Jay intentionally “jerked” around his employees

also to expand on what Billz is saying Max kellerman made a similar point when discussing Tiger woods and what little he does for people as opposed to what little Jordan and Lebron does

he said Tiger owes more because what made tiger what he is today was that he broke in on some breaking the color barrier for golf, on some I’m one of you and I’m knocking down the door and he used his first couple of years campaigning that fact turing that shit into advertising $, which is all well and good but then if your getting paid off of that than you have an obligation to turn around and help others less fortunite as you but now he is well in the door and comfy as hell he doesn’t wanna ruffle any feathers, where was he a couple years ago when the women were protesting their right to play at Augusta ? No where to be found, so wait everyone should fight for his right to play their but now that he is there and among the richest people alive who cares if women can’t play there ? thats fucked up

now Jordan and Lebron should still do a shit load more to help people no doubt but atleast they didn’t use that shit as a platform or stepping stone to get to where they were

now I know neither did Jay but it points to Billz point that Jay uses people until he has no use for you anymore than he cuts his ties with you cause your not on his level and therefore can’t do anything but bring him down and that shit is foul

naw seriously you made all very valid points too we have no clue what he does with his money who he helps w/e but Billz is right everyone who is associated with him has denounced him EVERYONE, the ninja gets what he needs and moves on, Jay has never hidden this though it should not be a shock to anyone, a couple people here or there you can dismiss but EVERYONE naw thats when you have to realize theres a lot of truth there, now dehaven fuck him shit like that is obvious bullshit but fact of the matter is rappers on DJ expected him to come in and sympathize with him being he was once in their spot, remember when no one would give him a chance no one would sign him ? so people thought good Jay will come in and help us get our vision out but no he sold them out and went for the $’s people expected more, don’t tell me it’s a business move the ninjas worth a half billion dollars he can afford to take a little less money and help some of the people that came before him and after him try and reach the same dream he once had , remember this is the ninja that wanted his whole crew and everyone he knew to be wealthy so they could be each others crutches will he broke them crutches and never looked back
