  22. Blackwater Says:

good look @ chea for checking that out. It’s real old but I still like it. I can respect your opinion. I got a whole lotta new shit coming up too… Just put the studio in the crib so I plan on making like 50 joints before June and picking the best ones for the album.

  25. 911 Says:

I’d trade Amare Stoudamire for Josh Smith straight up…if I was phoenix Amare has to go not because he isn’t a good player, but because your best player is 34 and has a bad back in addition…Phoenix got a two year window.

    you know what he means.

  27. Blackwater Says:

Most niggas say they don’t value internet niggas opinions, but all niggas like us do is sit around and listen to good music so we can seperate the good from the bad. If I was an A&R the first thing I would do would be to put all my new artists up for review on an internet forum. If you’r shit stand up on the net, it’s good anywhere

  28. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

  29. Blackwater Says:

I swear I love to watch the Suns play. Them niggas got ridiculous energy. All they do is run and score. Nash is the illest nigga to me. I know he white and Canadian for that matter, but his game is on par with any good PG you can name in history

  30. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

    >>defer the dream nigga. What’s your goal? Get lost in the shuffle? People alway have the grandest ideas, but the worst planning seen this side of george dubya…the latter isn’t really directed at you just my thoughts in general…the quip and first 2 questions are all you champ…

In hopes that I don’t have to become hostile through prose…this is not me dissing you gawd just regular type…coffee no additives.

  34. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

  35. Blackwater Says:

I’m saying that if you put your single on NR though and niggas is feeling it. It’ll be the shit on radio. Niggas hate on that Flo Rida nigga but if [reviewed it on the net first and got a good response he would’ve sold even more ringtones, I stand on it.

  36. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

    whens that hnic2 shit drop?

  37. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

that flo-rida nigga is wack to me.
    plies is better than him.
that 100 years song by plies beats anything ho-rida ever did.
that beat on gucci manes new song is fire

  38. Blackwater Says:

No @ 911 the plan got mad specifics in it that I won’t even get into. But the 50 joints is just so I can make sure I got the best work I can put out. Of the 50 I plan to use 11 for the album. I’m an indie artist so I play it like an indie artist should. I just want to put my sound out there and see how the world recieves it. I got the radio connect in the bag locally too so I just wanna make sure I aint dropping no garbage and besmerch the name, dig?

    Nigga I love hip-hop i’ll never disrespect it’s reputation

    >can/can’t refute that…Kanye? Aside from ye’ you could be right…I can’t think of anyone off hand…?

LF: I haven’t viewed/listened to one of those gunit joints yet…they lost their luster {no pink lotion see black folk who think they got kind of good hair favorite…ole’ 1/8 indian mix ass ninja} I’mma go back and check…

  41. Blackwater Says:

Flo Rida aint really me either but I just used him as a for instance. Souja Boy gets no love here but he started on the net and look where it took him. I think the internet shoud be the first stop for any new artist major or not. You get an unbiased opinion for free and it’s good promotion.

  42. ***biggumskiller*** Says:

  43. Blackwater Says:

50 know what this internet shit does. So does Budden. Niggas need the net to audition the new talent and new material from established artists. Even Janet want “Feedback” (pun intended)

the trick is to make money when you’re hot like g-unit did.
thats why when roc-boys dipset d-block etc go thru hard times they

  49. chea Says:

@ blackwater how much does a studio cost, i’ve been thinking of putting one in my next crib just to fuck around but i’m not tech savvy so i’m afraid i’m going to have to keep paying people to come make the shit work

  50. 911 Says:

    I cherish every second

By who? How much press does Wale get for him to be OVERRATED? The man is revolutionizing go-go music, which has remained relatively the same and dominated by the same bands for the last 30 years. Did you HEAR 100 Miles and Running? 3000 did…

    ^^

i’m not going after him b

after chicago, DC is my second love

i spent 4.5 of the best years of my life there (Georgetown + short stint on capitol hill), and i spent basically the entire time @ DC Live, the Ritz, name it, jamming to go go — i can sing along to probably any true go go song that ever even remotely got played in clubs or on the radio

so obviously i fucks with his movement

but it’s like the fucking blog echo chamber is so hilarious — a few people covered this dude and urb put him on their magazine and the next thing you know dude is just everywhere — hip-hop blogs, streetwear blogs, sneaker blogs, i don’t have to name them, just google him

some of these dudes get ethered by their own hype before they get a chance to blow [||]

anyway that was a long-winded answer but i’m just saying, maybe what dude needs is just a little bit of criticism so he can become a star

he obviously has talent but i’m just saying dude is not the messiah

    Wale’s BECOMING a star already….

And I’d call him DC’s messiah. Not that I know alot about DC hip-hop, but Wale’s the ONLY dude I’ve heard repping DC. He’s doing alot.

LF: I’ll never cop a pair of nike boots. Since we talking bout gear, did anyone see the air force jordan’s? Those shits are soo hard (pause), there a mixture of the mid cut airs & the jordan retro 12, terrence had em on 106 the other day, then when I was up the mall yesterday I seen em, I was about to cop em, but AF1’s isnt my thing anymore. I still might get em, you know they coming out with other colors, so i’ll wait

    Rigga Romez… you good?

I always liked the Pharcyde type of sound. Nobody can question that ‘Bizarre Ride II…’ is a classic album.

Personally though, I always preferred the Hiero crew. Del’s debut is another classic joint. Souls Of Mischief got a lot of shine with the ’93 ’til Infinity’ album, but Casual’s debut and Extra Prolific’s debut joints were just as good.

Okay, I see you. It’s tough for me to hear people hate on a dude like Wale, when they don’t even understand the culture of DC. He’s makin some serious moves out of a city that just ain’t known for lyrical rap. The internet is goin nuts for this dude, but until I hear a track of his on the radio down here in NC, I’m gonna continue to say he’s relatively unknown.
