The Chain Remains, The Game Is In Tact

According to a report from Billboard, rumors of Roc-A-Fella’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.

"Beans and Freeway didn’t get dropped," says Beanie Sigel’s manager, Mark Byers. "I just got off the phone with L.A. Reid talking about the next video for ‘Rain’ featuring Raheem DeVaughn that we’re about to release. We’re re-launching Beanie’s project and releasing a ‘Rain’ remix with State Property."

That’s cool, but I’d still rather see a video for What They Gonna Say To Me. An unnamed insider quoted in the story also says that they don’t believe Peedi has been dropped either.

All of these new “singers” are the pits! Alicia, Badu, Jill, Keyshia, Ashanti, Amy…you people are DESPERATE to find anybody that even has a CHANCE to join the legends. Won’t happen.

You guys are putting people like Ella in the same “soul” category as Aretha Frankllin, Bettye LaVette and Etta James. Come on!!!

The only two young ladies that can blow in the soul filed among the up & comers are Bapist church, gospel-trained, Jennnifer Hudson and Fantasia Barrino, but Clive Davis (fool that he is) is trying to make a quick buck by pushing them towards the monotonous, light-weight, watered down, hip/hop junk. Where is Clyde Otis when you need him?
