God damn, I really wish more rappers would perform with a live band. I haven’t seen the roots yet and this Ali clip is great but the best performance I’ve seen in a while was with Pharoahe Monch.

well, i have it. it like a mash up of nas and madlib tracks. the file i have is one big 34+ minute file. i plan to chop it up on pro-tools tomorrow when i get up. i was asking cats earlier that if they had a rapidshare account, i could send the individual tracks to them and they could send it to nation since he has everyone’s email addresses and send it out

great album but ask yourself why you don’t hear people bumping tracks off of it

but for instance in the hood people stay bumpin “the infamous” by mobb deep (even though they wack as fuck now)

i mean nas has been a great lyricist at times but i don’t think he’s relevant any more

not a diss post just a real post

^^^^^ Well i guess it’s just preference really… I stay bumping that album, sometimes more than illmatic…. It was Written was that real hiphop shit…

Take a song like, “the Message”…I still bump that all the time… thats’ a classic song… what he did on that song is remarkable, just look at the chorus…

Nas was tellin stories like none other then…

As far as relevance, yeah he lost alot in that category…but that’s beside the point…

I’m just sayin Nas is standstill a better rapper than pretty much anybody in the game, other than Hov…

And that It Was Written is a classic album….And that’s with out just throwing that ‘classic’ word around…

  25. SecondBest21 Says:

fuck that…. nas is wack, biggie was/is gahbitch, tupac was never anywhere near good, and rakim is all hype. everybody know that solja boy is the truth!!!

hat hood is you talkin bout?

reasonable doubt is such a hood classic it’s inexplicable

    that shit defines hood classic

same as 400 degreez by juvy

same as thug motivation by jeezy

i mean some shit is a hood classic, some shit is not

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit i don’t live in the hood (thank God), but i live 4 blocks from the hood, so i’m-a speak on it cot damn it LOL

that’s not wise. just chop it up, throw all the zipped tracks into a .zip or a .rar and just upload it back to zshare, or sharebee. and there is a faster way to upload individual tracks (drag and dropped) like i do for my other posts… more on that later

^^co-sign. ‘it was written’ drags a little bit in parts, but there are some moments of pure genius, like ‘take it in blood’: “i never brag / how real i keep it / ’cause it’s the best secret / i rock a vest / prestigious” and “my actions are one with the seasons” you can hear the ghost/rae influence, though

  43. Two-Times Says:

I mean seriously, Nas sampled himself on “the Message” chorus… and made it sound tight…give him the credit…

Young Jeezy & Lil Wayne should study that song, over and over and over…

they couldn’t write a story like that if someone ghostwrote for them…

“There’s one life, one love, so there can only be one King”
