  88. FuckUPayMe618 Says:

Contrary to rumor, The LOX are currently without a major label deal. “Nah, not as the group,” Styles P clarified to HipHopDX.com late yesterday. “False rumors. ‘Kiss just took [a solo deal with Def Jam]. He gonna finish [his] joint up. And then when we finish making [The LOX] album, we’ll decide on [a label].”
As for how soon Styles, Sheek and Jadakiss will be signing on the dotted line with somebody, there doesn’t appear to be any rush. “We not sweating it,” says Styles. “We just recording right now. Our first priority is really making solid music. And after we make the solid music, we’ll go where we wanna go.”
While rumors just recently surfaced regarding The LOX label home, there has long been a rumored title for the group’s third album, Live, Suffer, Celebrate. But according to Styles, that title may too prove to be just a rumor. “Might be [called that], might change,” he says of the album’s title. “We doing so much new music, so I dunno. The energy might change.”
Although the title to the next LOX album isn’t set in stone yet, Styles can confirm some of the A-list beatmakers who are helming the boards for the project. “As The LOX we gotta get a Premo joint,” he says. “I’m on Premo’s heels right now.” In addition to securing heat from the man who laced “Recognize” on the group’s last full-length, 2000’s We Are The Streets, The LOX have also clocked studio time with Pete Rock, Alchemist, and Swizz Beatz for their junior effort.
It should be a busy ’08 for the Yonkers crew, with Jadakiss’ Def Jam debut tentatively dropping first quarter and Styles and crew aiming to drop the new LOX album mid-year.

^^No album is above being leaked in 2007! If Jesus had an album it would be leaked too! It’s still a shame though, cuz the buzz is pretty high for this joint, but by the time it drops 60% of the tracks will be on the net…

  106. lurker Says:

“contrary to rumor, the LOX are still suffering from 50 cent’s hand.”

  107. lurker Says:

    speaking of leaking…lol….american gangster..hurry up!!

  108. Soul Clapper Says:

As I see it, Wu got 2 classics. I think they’ve been more influential than that. 8 Diagrams needs to be classic no. 3.

    Tribe (3 Classics)
    Public Enemy (3 classics)
BDP (prolly 3 classics, but only 1 main emcee so should they count?).
    De La Soul (2 classics)
Pete & CL (2 Classics, only 1 emcee)
    Eric B & Rakim (2 or 3 Classics)
    Run-DMC (2 or 3 classics)
    Outkast (2 or 3 classics)
NWA (maybe 2 classics. Or maybe just 1)
    EPMD (Maybe 3 classics)
Gang Starr (2 or 3 classics, only 1 emcee)
    Kool G Rap & Polo (3 classics, 1 emcee)

Then there’s a lot of crews with just 1, like Main Source, Mobb Deep, Fugees etc. I don’t know, I changed my mind. Maybe you don’t need tons of classics to be influential… ask Lil’ Wayne.

dude.. i need those beats that rza did .. its all about the trademark sound, mark dont act like u dont know what im talking about…

That rza trademark sound man, thats what we all want when we feeeign for a wu album.. man..

So this beat was produced by rza and easy moe bee.. sigh.. fine.. but yall nahgers know the trademark wu sound im talking about..

  112. Mark Twain Fame Says:

yeah we know what you talkin bout…but you cant sound exactly the same as past albums…you cant “RECYCLE” your sound like your in 94 when its 2007. I know they kinda recycled the “guitar” beat from a unreleased ghost track but that track is still dope, no denying that. and its only 3 tracks, you never know they could have some real old school 36 chambers rza sounding shit on there…never know, wait and see, patience is a virtue.
