“It’s real simple—if you did the beats, where are the beats? Show us one beat that you did. If you bring ’Clef to the studio, put an MP, put an SP, put a bunch of stuff, bring a bunch of cameras [and] say, “Clef, do a beat in two minutes.†The beat’s done! Bring Lauryn Hill in the studio with the same camera, say we give you three hours. Matter fact, fuck it, we’ll give you a month—do a beat. She can’t put it together!”
^^Lauryn’s lost her ever-loving mind!!
That bitch is crazier than my ex when her aunt flow is in town.
Finally, an album I actually want to buy. Friend of mine just got back from New York for Rock the Bells where he got offered backstage passes and cooked up a hare-brained scheme to try and smoke weed with the GZA. He failed, and I maintain that a better plan would have been to ask Cappadonna if he wants to drive around in his cab and smoke dust.
It seems like nobody is trying to find out what Dre’s plans are. Are people afraid to ask him? He’s got two of the most anticipated albums lying on the shelf for years now and he’s remained silent about them. Throw Joell’s album in the mix too. smh.
I never really got into the whole Wu Tang movement/ensemble [collective…smh. Can I live.] Someone care to explain why I should believe they are better than Outkast or NWA. Or does it not matter so as long as those three are in the top three?

Fugees “Stayin’ Alive†> BeeGees “Stayin’ Aliveâ€
… i’ll concede that … Stayin Alive was one of the few Fugees songs I actually liked … but, the BeeGees put up Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Earth, Wind & Fire type numbers for about 10 years straight …

My only guess is that he’s waiting till rap music starts seelling like it used too. With all the talent on the Aftermath and Interscope roster I don’t think it’d be a stretch(nh) to say that Dre still has the chance to change the sound of hip hop again.

^True dat. My pops put me on to their reign back then. And it was definitely nothin’ leprechaun about it.
>>My only guess is that he’s waiting till rap music starts selling like it used too.
I’ve been thinking the same thing also, but I hope he’s not thinking that way. Cuz realistically sales are going anywhere but up these days. If that’s his strategy I’ll be in a rocking chair before those albums come out.

^ Says who?…. Who says those 2 albums are gonna sell… Remember Dre runs a business…notice he don’t put out nothing that doesn’t have platinum selling potential… He dropped Rakim…
^We’ve had this discussion before. Once again, why sign people you have no intention in putting out music for? For once fuck the money and just put out good music. Like Dre’s wallets aren’t deep enough…SMH. I’d understand if Dre was just coming up(n/h), but dude has been swimming in dough for years now. Take the focus off making money for one second. It’s not gonna kill him.
As for possibilities of what’s likely to happen first…
Me givin’ up on life… pickin’ up a crack habit… robbin’ and stealin’… being homeless… havin’ a divine intervention… gettin’ hauled to a detox clinic and comin’ out alive > Dre comin’ out with Detox while any of us are still alive
this is a great fuckin video, i love wu tang. i can never get tired of listening to RZA talk for some reason. there were definitely some lmao moments in this video. tell me how whenever they showed raekwon it was at that close up scary ass angle.
I never really got into the whole Wu Tang movement/ensemble [collective…smh. Can I live.] Someone care to explain why I should believe they are better than Outkast or NWA
I don’t think they’re the best group ever, but they’re in the top 5. Gritty beats, classic albums, and that many lyricists in one crew = dope music
Cuz realistically sales are going anywhere but up these days. If that’s his strategy I’ll be in a rocking chair before those albums come out.
basically dre always wants to be known as that dude wiht the golden touch, everything hes associated with has to go 3x platinum.
yup, but the Hitman, King T, and Rakim albums would have been classics
… KG sure will look strange in a Celtics uniform … especially the road green … smh …
Pierce, KG, and Ray Allen is a solid nucleus(no biology) for a team. SMH @ Kobe still not getting an adequate sidekick.
For once fuck the money and just put out good music. Like Dre’s wallets aren’t deep enough…SMH.
^ Ok.. the only point I’ll accept is that about why sign if you got no intention of putting them out…
but there even an answer behind that..
You sign them to a production deal, and then see if you can possibly turn them into a star…Aftermath signed 50, 50 went in, get tight music poppin, and a good buzz in the streets,…Dre went to Jimmy and said, lets throw millions in promoting him into a international star…
Dre signs people to small deals, and then sees if they are productive enough to become what he wants, if not they get shipped off…like G.A.G.E, or almost Game,
And don’t ever say, “fuck the money” that’s where you living fantasies homie… this is a business, a job, a life, saying “fuck money” doesn’t factor in the equation…
True, Dre is swimming in money, but the way he got there was thinking business 1st, everything else 2nd…
If he didn’t he would be Styles P right now….
THere is no possible way to say “fuck the money” and just release an album…
You know that Dre (and other artists with sub-labels) got certain clauses in his deal with Interscope that if he presents a finished product for release, he gotta share a minimum or half of marketing & promoting costs…ex. like a minimum million out of Aftermath Entertainment budget…and that’s just a minimum…
who wants to lose money?…
dre gonna eat off em n 50 till he die.. second… you know my industry I.Q. lets be honest now
^ yes i know your industry IQ and I respect it…that’s why i don’t see why you saying comments like that….
You can’t seriously say “dre gonna eat of off em & 50 forever†so lets start losing money..
that don’t make no sense homie…
^they say the best way to prove a point is with an extreme example.. so that was an extreme example.. even if dre lost 50 million on a bad investment he’d be good. not to say that in reality he’d spend 50 million. or even 5 million on a Joell project.. joell’s budget should be around 200k.. especially with the inhouse production.. so joell movin 150k units at 9.99 a pop is 1.5 mil off of 200k (minus distributions cut etc) so dre still comes out ahead.. but more importantly dre cant have his name on a project that is less than platinum.. so therein lies the conundrum.
M.O.P album dropping…..???? It’s a damn shame they’ve been rusting for seven years now.
I thought once crunk got popular, they’d get an album release since they’re pretty much east coast crunk. FIYAH
Harlem, more than average
Niggaz selling tablets for cabbage
The habbits more lavage the savage
Inside the Land rental, y’all know what y’all ran into
Cam’s mental, broke this man’s dental
Up in Grand Central, we sell cracks for cash makes no difference
Moving coke by the shipments, cause Digga need this equiptment
I stole grams from a foes land, make sure my doughs ran
Bitch I never hold hands, time waits for no man
5-0 not fond of me, cause I’m onerary, they honor me
What the wanna see, racketeering, and laundering
Now I got the E from jake, me and Blood deceased the fake
Man you should’ve seen some bake, drive out the 318
It was no hypnosis, just a few witnesses
But they’ll mind their businesses cause they know who shit this is
Ands went ? with kis, but don’t even mind the Ds
Smoke to keep my mind at ease, but know when it’s time to squeeze
Never hurry, bullets flurry, got my own mother worried
Coming up to me with her vision blurry
She said “Cam, I know you stole for the bread
But I’m scared you’ll wear a sheet with a hole in your head”
Just hold the dough cause when I perish
You’ll be passed Mount Everest, sippin Mo on your terrace
Cause that’s how it go when you dealing with a strangler
Girls, the misters, and haters, fellons biscuits and bangers
I went to Texas people, caught wreck with people
Who had injection infected needles, some terrorist people
Baby burst the desert eagles, killa slices
Cold as the icisis, one of the trifest
Hypest to shiestest y’all run like mices in a crisis

Selling big thousand on crack, smack and Tylenol
All I got’s the crack option, 031’s what I wrap boxing
In ’89 when I was slap boxing, now I box on padlocking
And gat cocking and gat poppin’, doing drive bys out the black drops

Fuck your bosses, my forces, it tosses
To kill all your sources you niiggaz best be cautious
No losses my fortress, is Jaguars and Porsches
Ride the OTB to check my money on the horses
My horrors is flawless, my block one of the broadest
Off the main attraction on the mighty ass chorus

You nigs got Grill’d in the US? Best burger joint period. Healthy eating but it tastes damn good. You fat bastards could do with a bit of Grill’d action in your life. (nhjic)
^^ I know they dont have it her in D.C., but sounds like we need to.
yo i feel like im starting to lose my taste in music
donno if is the lack of hot music or the fact that all i be hearing BS downsouth music.
ppl down hear are so wack wen it comes to music.
Rap A Lot, Screwed Up Click, and Dungeon Family are all dope southern labels/crews. I don’t know if people listen to them anymore overthere though.
is that Juice dude from BWS any good?… I ain’t really heard much from him….he any good?
I’ve only heard a few verses from him, not enough to really pass judgement. So far he seems pretty generic, he’s supposed to release a mixtape soon.
Ya Boy was really the only BWS dude with talent(he has potential to be better than Game) but he left the label. He has a mixtape with Big Mike coming soon.
Is Sonic any good? I see ads for it up here but I’ve never been anywhere that has it. It looks damn good but makes me understand why so many people are fat down there. Oh, and what the fuck is up with Jack in the Box tacos? It’s like Abu Ghraib in my mouth (no U.S. military)
Eng, for some reason there’s KFC, Taco Bell and Burger King in the movie theatres here, and my friend got the BK stacker once because he didn’t have time to eat before the movie. He unwrapped it and it smelled like the entire theatre shit their collective pants at once. If Ay Bay Bay had a smell, it would have been that.
