@ g7 a moment of silence for the inventer of the west coast offense

    ——————————

… Fuck the 49ers … Walsh didnt invent that shit anyway … (c) Bud Grant , Minnesota Vikings … Walsh just won rings with it, therefore he unfairly gets the credit … Tarkenton, Foreman, and Rashad were running the same offense in the 70s that Montana, Craig and Rice did in the 80s and 90s … and so were the 70s San Diego Chargers and Don Coryell …

^^u trippin hard with no map! not a chance they were passing the ball on running short routes but he perfected the art of passing and short routes and how a qb should go through his progession…land you get respect bro but you wrong on this one

    ———————-

… check Chuck Foreman’s recving yards and pass receptions while with Minnesota … he was the first RB to do what Craig did …

… if you didnt believe me check wikpedia … i know my NFL shit …

Foreman had 3 straight seasons rushing for 1,000+ yards (1975-1977) and scored a then NFC record 22 Touchdowns in 14 games during the 1975 campaign. During that same season, he also led the NFL in receptions with 73, a record for receptions by a running back. Foreman amassed 51 touchdowns over a 3 year span (1974-1976). Foreman played in 3 Super Bowls with the Vikings. Injuries plagued him throughout the 1978 and 1979 seasons and Foreman was subsequently traded to the New England Patriots, where he spent the 1980 season before retiring.

His pass-catching ability out of the backfield, combined with the ability to make the first tackler miss, was a key in the Minnesota Viking offense, which was sort of a pre-cursor of the West Coast Offense which became popular in the following decades.
