iCon… good looks on that link. Theu came out with a green/white pair of Cloverdale Park joints last year. I wish they would do a Cherry Hill version. But, nobody hoops there anymore.
someone congratulate Two Times for his video work. that fully loaded clip shit didn’t even look that stalkerish… he did a good job tracking down the lyrics in everyother video and putting em together
Since I’m in a half decent mood today, holla at me if you want that S. Carter The Remix album. It’s the official remix of the Black Album songs, new beats and a couple new verses on a few songs. All sponsered by Reebok.

Does anyone know who the lady is in Akon’s new video is she is fine as the print in Dame Dash’s Roc-a-fella contract!!

***Hit me with that joint (n/h)…iconaclassic@yahoo.com….what do you think of those AF-1 joints?
^True. Damn near every mixtape/battle rapper started poppin’ up with that style after Cass.. That’s why him and Murda Mook had that brief tiff. I haven’t really heard of enough of Murda Mook’s music though. But that Tek 9 joint is a banger. Shout out to Ron Browz on that beat.
The “featuring DJ Premier” credit seems strange to me. Usually, when a DJ get’s a ‘featuring’ credit, he’s doing some shouting in the intro, background or on the hook (Kid Capri and DJ Kool spring to mind).
As a credit-reading nut, I remember when hip hop albums used to put who did the cuts on a certain track waaaaaay down the list, not in brackets after the track name. Still, at least Preemo is getting his props.

^Lol. Sall good. They usually drop those, and the “B|More” (the name looks just like that on the shoe) Nikes every year. I still have yet to cop the B’more joints. If I do, I’ll probably only rock ’em when I’m out of town. Gotta represent (no Illmatic).
My woman of the moment= Mo’nique’s “skinny cousin” from that Phat Girlz movie…that flick is atrocious, but damned if I don’t put the remote down for a good five minutes if I catch the right scene, lol

Ok, so that’s 3 orders. Let me try to get it crackin’ (no Crips). Jay has somehow made it so that only the videos play first, and no music tracks pop up. Smh @ the espionage.

Kev Brown’s ” I Do What I Do” album is off the chain. One of the best releases of 05. On the producer album tip I prefer it over Black Milk’s Popular Demand. It’s that good.

^Anoter classic Ski beat. Remember Brooke Valentine jacked that beat and put Bossman on it? That was his big break that never happened because her album flopped, so they didn’t shoot a video.
***Co-sign on the Big/Pac thing…I usually don’t compare Big to Pac like that, but in this case, it’s inevitable, because i associate those two songs so closely….Have you heard the New Camp Lo joint, Joe?
^^ Yo, I heard Jay passed on that beat when Ski offered it to him. Although I think the track is fire, I don’t see what Jay would have rapped about over it. This is back in RD days. I just don’t think shit would have sounded right.

^Agreed. But instead of a heir, I think we just need a collective effort by the ones who can continue to churn out good music. The kingdom is suffering and it need all it’s rooks and knights to make the proper moves. After the dust clears (record labels folding, digital alternatives, etc.), then we can see who will try to gun for the #1 spot.

Here’s a discussion we never had on here, I think….who’s a bigger waste of talent, and who is ridiculously overrated, between Camay and Lil Weasel? Line for line, who’s a better lyricist, and who has done more to pollute the atmosphere with pure uncut garbage?
———————–
… they’re both talented MC’s … but Weezy seems to have a better work ethic … Cam seems lazy as hell … but Cam makes better lps … Weezy’s lps have too much filler … good comparison … Weezy envies Cam’s swagger … Cam probably envies Weezy’s over-exposure …

^^^^^^
They’re both really overrated now. Wayne’s the better lyricist not by much though. Prior to Carter 1, Wayne was very underrated and most people didn’t listen to him. He decided to mimic Jay’s flow and Cam’s swagger and people were looking for a replacement for Jay when Jay retired so they followed Wayne since he was the closest thing(he’s really not though)

Roc No Mas: Jay-Z Fails Latinos
So y’all heard yesterday that Island Def Jam is laying off 40 staff members including the entire Roc La Familia camp. Was it really a surprise? Nah. It’s been a rocky road ever since Aztek got the boot. And Def Jam noticed that Tru Life is an angry individual and can be marketed in a lot of ways including as a Latino. Another corporate failure for the Jiggman.
Such was the case for Bad Boy Latino or an even better example Wu Tang Latino. All these Latino vanity labels were created with one purpose—to make dinero. None of its parent companies wanted to create a voice for Latinos. They don’t give a shit. To be in this Latin market, as diverse and as at times confusing as it is, you have to believe in the culture. Otherwise all you’ll be doing is throwing up a diamond sign and rocking a shirt with a bunch of Latin American flags on it.
All them niggas got some secret society shit goin on. and those pics said 1000 words. one word it Didint say, Beef.
^^^^
Without a doubt rap beefs are fake but you’re giving too much credit to the rappers. Their Jewish masters are the ones doing this. They don’t own their masters to their songs their name belongs to a record label they don’t decide what they do
…..and by the way those pics of Nelly, 50, J.D, Puff, and Jeezy have to be some of the most suspect photos ever. Alot of man on man affection and no women in sight…..(nhjic)

Hip-Hop artists you should be checking for if you haven’t already:
Polyrhythm Addicts
J Live
Kenn Starr
Kev Brown
J Rawls
Apathy
====
Kev Brown’s ” I Do What I Do” album is off the chain. One of the best releases of 05. On the producer album tip I prefer it over Black Milk’s Popular Demand. It’s that good.

Talent-wise: Cam > Weezy
Bigger waste of talent: Cam
Ridiculously Over-Rated: Weezy, unless you’re talking to a dipStan, at which point you get the idea that Cam is overrated.
Pure, Uncut Gahbidge? Gonna roll with Weezy there. Cam is entertaining, and I’m pretty sure Lil’ Wayne had a stroke somewhere and just never got it checked out.
