  8. Paperstacker Says:

lol, This shit is fire, please keep that old chumps name out ya mouth folks, can we just stop the comparisons. It goes like this, Nas and Jay both won. Everyoen talking shit about them lost.

  9. Shanti Says:

i want HHID to leak so bad but at the same time I feel torn. on one hand i really want to wait to listen until i can actually walk in the store on december 19th and cop it. on the other hand my ears are so anxious to hear the entire album that i’m not sure if i can wait. *sighs*

  17. Paperstacker Says:

lost ones is garbage. lol, subpar bullshit. It should be out soon enough, then yall can see Hov sitting in his new Maybach somewhere in Europe. Sounds new…

  18. iLL Change Says:

    >> so ummm..yeah…when we gonna see lost one??

who cares? he’s too old to be relevant, he cant be taken seriously with a bunch of mature tracks, a diss record, and a strip club joint all on one album.

  19. Off White Says:

I agree with what iLL said about this in the last post, ” i wish the beat was better tho, its too action-movie-instrumental-ish.”

    the video is on-point tho..

  20. PeteROC Says:

I can’t get that verse on Beyonce out of my head… how can you not love Hov?
Even the corny ass Dre beat is growing on me

  21. Off White Says:

@Paperstacker – no disrespect, but what did Jay do to you? I understand not liking a rapper, or even not respecting a rapper, but you come at Jay like he personally disrespected your family..

^ That’s better than Nas sitting in Kelis Kia….

  24. PeteROC Says:

Off topic… but anyone check that Blue Armor off More fish?
    that beat is crazy

  25. Paperstacker Says:

Kingdom come had some classics in my opinion. But why put that bullshit with Usher on there, why put that shit with beyonce on there? and the neo track? If I want a club album ill listen to Diddy’s cd cause thats what it is and it got alot of nice club bangers on there. Jay could have had beans on there, maybe nas on one track, ghostface maybe? I mean seriously..

  26. Two-Times Says:

That More Fish ad promo that Eskay posted is funny shit…for real…

  27. Paperstacker Says:

That’s better than Nas sitting in Kelis Kia

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, Nas drives a Kia, does that change the fact lost ones is garbage?

  28. PeteROC Says:

    paperstacker

the ne-yo track was a club song huh?
I feel you on the dig a hole and anything though

mmm ghostface n hov would be a good one

  29. PeteROC Says:

and for the record… ‘Hollywood’ is underrated like a mofo. listen again.

  30. iLL Change Says:

this is a NaS post. who cares about the old chump?

  31. Two-Times Says:

the fact lost ones is garbage?

^ You know I’m just kidding… Your right lost ones ain’t really Jay’s best and the chorus kinda sucks…

Your right about how Jay should have had Beans on a track for KC… damn for real… I was just jammin that “1 for Peedi”, where Beans kills it…

  32. Paperstacker Says:

na the neo shit wasnt a club song but it was wack though.

Actually Dig a hole is one of my favorite tracks of the album. As well as “trouble”, “do u wanna ride”, “oh my god”, “30 something”. and a few others. But with all the rappers on defjam he could have had a crazy colabo insted of those fillers from usher and beyonce. That neptunes beat was garbage too.

  33. Two-Times Says:

    @ Paperstacker ^^^

but the big homie is so much more fun to talk about than the little homie

  36. Paperstacker Says:

I remember the beans and jay collabo on Beans album, that shit was fire where they trade verses back and forth. welcome to new york city is fire even if it was on Cams album. U got buddens, Ghostface, Beans, Redman yet u cant even do a collabo with them that could very well be a classic. Yet u r quick to do collabos with usher, neo, and some other singers on ur comeback album. i mean put those on a mixtape or soemthing but not on the album that could have been a classic.

  37. PeteROC Says:

straight up I agree with you Paperstacker… he kinda dicks his fellow rappers on the label- frequently

What up what up. I know I’m late on this^^, but it got me thinking…

Jay had no excuse not to utilise the talent on Def Jam for KC (hell, it’s cross promotion, so you could actually say that’s it’s his JOB to do it. The promotional benefits of having an MC like Ghost on a Jay/Dre track are massive, particularly when thinking about reaching out to heads who might not naturally be checking for Ghost but always cop Jay’s shit).

Oh My God – Jay-Z feat Nas (A 16 from Esco would have been hot right? Like a flow showcase – a flowcase!)

Lost One – Jay-Z feat Sigel and Scarface (A continuation of the emotional thug music these dudes have been doing for a minute.)

Kingdom Come – Jay-Z feat Redman (With all those Superman metaphors, 16 bars from the Sooperman Lover would have tore it down)

Do U Wanna Ride – Jay-Z feat Ghostface (One of my boys said Ghost should have been on Minority Report to make it Underwater part 2 but that’s some cold shit. Ghost aint afraid of unleashing some heat on a smooth track, so this is tailor made)

Minority Report – Jay-Z feat Black Thought (You know that Thought would have some politicized rhymes)

  109. QDotSmith Says:

young hj, actually KC wasnt a dumbed down album…KC was an album meant to crossover to crossover to a medium that has been taking to jay as of lately, so i guess you can say his new peers….hollywood and corporate america… like i commented earlier, jay is everywhere, even on the NFL. hes building his name so when he gets that casino hes dilligently working towards, people(rich/middle income white america) know exactly whose casino they are goin to. jay fans push the album in sales, hes gotta beef that keeps his name in the streets, and hes got a highly saught after gf. this album is just a chess move. but it needed to happen be it sub par or not it didnt matter. hip hop, matter fact the music industry needed an album to come out that would stop time for a while. and jay has done just that…he aint have to come correct, he just staged the perfect event, its like an early mike tyson fight, you pay 50 bucks for the paperview everyones talkin about it, and the fight last 30 seconds….pissed off you are, but you didnt miss the event. yall think its dumbed down when in fact this album is completley over alot of peoples heads…

it indeed was an event.. a successful one at that
    it was jay-z wk everywhere

and of course it is over alot of ppls heads.. that’s not saying much considering some ppl – but of course, it’s jay we talking about.. one of the greats

but i’m a nas stan where’s my nas week.. lol

  112. QDotSmith Says:

nas week is comin im gettin hype….i still like that track he did with lauren hill that was supposed to be on nasdaq…that still gets heavy play i dont know why people wasnt feelin it, maybe because it came out right when the south came swingin hard

  113. steven Says:

Damn Qdot that’s what i’ve been trying to explain to dudes. How do you keep the hiphop movement going by trying to venture out to different people. Everyone gets so stuck in one thing that as soon as you go left it’s a problem. That’s why i appreciate what Big Boi and Dre 3000 has done with speakerboxx/ and the love below

680,000 thats pretty damn good today in the industry…. people arent buying cds like they used….with explosion of the ipod over the past year or two technology has hurt the industry….500,000 is like the new platinum!!! pretty soon the whole industry is gonna have to go grass roots, and there wont be any more studio artist…people are gonna have to get out and get dirty and market themselves and do live shows everywhere, and hand out promos and what not… they gonna have to play those small whole in the wall joints…music videos are gonna go out of style, and its gonna be a revolving cycle…you’ll then only be able to watch music videos on the internet…and with the govt getting ready to put a leash on the web we’re gonna have to pay for everything, and thats how the business is gonna survive….

    that is all
