Johnny Hooks with The Game and BWS D.J. Nu Jerzey Devil
One of Game’s business partners, John "Johnny Hooks" Abbey, was arrested Friday in New Jersey on money laundering charges.
A partner in an Atlantic City recording studio launched by well-known rapper The Game was charged yesterday with laundering more than $100,000 for the 9 Tre Gangsters, the state’s bloodiest street gang, authorities said.
John "Johnny Hooks" Abbey, 38, was taken into custody as State Police executed search warrants at the recording studio, Black Wall Street East, and at a construction company and house he owns in Little Egg Harbor, said state Division of Criminal Justice Director Gregory Paw.
According to the Star Ledger, the 9 Tre Gangsters are "a faction of the Bloods street gang." Abbey is being held on a first-degree racketeering conspiracy charge until he posts a $750,000 bail. Police also executed search warrants at the offices of Viper Construction Management, which is linked to from the Black Wall Street website, and where Abbey holds some vague unspecified position.
