You can listen to every Outkast album and play 80-90% of it no problem. Try that with Tical, Wu-Tang Forever, Wu-Tang Iron Flag, The Swarm, THE PILLAGE.

  2. Blue Says:

Can you really compare Wu and OutKast? Wu is hip-hop is its rawest, purest(is that a word?) form. To me Wu-Tang Clan and hip-hop are synonomous. Kast has really evolved into something that is hard to label as hip-hop at this point.

Both groups have broken into the mainstream, but besides that they are like night and day. Both groups will be valued throughout history, but seems impossible, as least in my eyes, to really compare them.

  3. Coofie Crook Says:

*runs into tyronebiggums at the gas station*

*sneaks up behind him and gives him an atomic wedgie*

*takes his wallet, treo 650 and his architectural blueprints out of right Evisu pocket*

*smacks him on the left facial cheek leaving a pink bruise on lightskinned face*

*runs his left pocket taking ganz bag and keys to ’98 Tauras*

    *drives toward manhattan*

^true dat. just conversation really but what makes a group great and what makes them hiphop? CREATIVITY point blank. wu lost that creative spark at one point and got bogged down in their formula. Outkast always came creative, maybe some shit was not as hot as others but they never repeated themselves and they never did some ol’ bullshit. they took risks. Wu will always have a crown but it ain’t crazy to say that outkast outpaced them.

    Why is outkast overratted?
They have kept every element in hiphop thru out there career
They deserve the respect they get!!!!

    —————————————————
…they are more style than substance…yeah they are mad creative and shit…they have actually outgrown hiphop musically, especially andrea300….but when it comes to hiphop music, i want beats and rhymes, rhymes and beats….clever and witty wordplay over the old boom bap….

  8. Phil Says:

Ok, Dre’s shit for some reason has me wanting to slide somebody between my legs, spin her on my shoulders, drink some bad booze, and bang her out in the back of a Model T…

Big Boi’s shit, beyond fire! That shit may just get Morris Brown it’s accreditation back…

Only grown-and-sexy people are feeling this shit though, because that’s exactly what it is. Period…

  9. T Nelson Says:

You gotta remeber the music is to support the movie so none of it may not make sense without seeing the movie

Wu Tang Killa Bees – The Sting
RZA – Birth of a Prince
GZA – Legend of the Liquid Sword
    Ghostface – Fishscale
Wu-Tang meets the Indie Culture – Think Differently
    Ghostface – Pretty Toney Album
    Wu-Chronicles – Chapter II

  11. Shanti Says:

what’s happenin Phil…*wonders if he knows who this is (hint–emory)*…oh and i consider my self grown and sexy and i just can’t get into the dre song…maybe if he could really sing i would be…

  12. T Nelson Says:

might have to see the movie to get it

  13. Shanti Says:

    @ T nelson

i understand its for the soundtrack…that’s not my point though. i’m sure it goes with whatever scene it’s for but regardless i don’t see myself putting it in the ipod and listening to it from time to time. i love dre for who he is and i liked some of the songs of of “the love below” but this just isn’t a song i particularly want to listen to. as an artist i like dre better when he’s rappin but obviously he wants to do him and i give him props for that.

  14. 456 Says:

Ty: just admit that wu fell off and hard. ghost was like the last man standing. also admit that EVERY outkast album has been hot. Anyway, i already had you copping pleas about cappadonna so you just arguing now. niggas talkin like outkast has no substance and they ain’t hiphop. talkin they moved beyond hiphop when they brought back that africa bambataa shit. when they were one of the pioneers of the southern hiphop shit. they don’t repeat themselves and keep it black. ENDLESS CREATIVITY.

Damn you can listen to Killa Bees more than twice! I admire you.

  16. Shanti Says:

they don’t repeat themselves and keep it black. ENDLESS CREATIVITY.

^^true. no one can say that one outkast album sounds like another. the thing i like most about outkast is that they are innovative and they kick knowledge and stay true to their southern roots all the while being entertaining.

  17. T Nelson Says:

the thing i like the most about Kast is that they not scared to step outside the box……it took balls for them to do speakerboxx/love below the way that they did…….im stuck between them and the roots as the best group out there

  18. Blue Says:

Looking at what Cee-Lo has grown into musically, just imagine the incredible shit Kast would have made if he would joined the group as was the plan originally. That album he did with Jazze Pha should get the “Most Slept On” award. Classic.

  19. the Landlord Says:

…this outkast thread is going nowhere…indicative of their freefalling status in HipHop…

  20. 456 Says:

    ^idlewild=4x platnium. watch.

I see we got kids on here, taking my name and saying I like lil flip. How wack is that? 456? not you? You still popping off. I’m trying to be bugsy? I suggest you take you and your family and take a nice hot shower, Just stay in the tub for about a couple hours, to get rid of that stinch yall be carrying around. I think you might of ate too much goat meat. Its all on your insides.

Its funny that people wanna take my name. I guess when niggas is trying to start a righteous movement, niggas start hating. Taking yall cats back to 88.

With that said, big boi, part wasnt hot, the hook was hot. I just listen to the hook only which is the middle through out. Pretty tight song.

WHy whenever outkast is brought up, niggas want to compare them to other groups. Outkast only has two niggas b. Wu got nine. They on a whole different level. Outkast has been the most consistent group in rap of all time. This is just what the white man wants you to do, start arguing over who’s hotter when both groups is hot. I can see if its outkast vs dfb, or dfl, or some wack shit, but lets give props where props is due.

  22. 911 Says:

These songs seem terrible…….upon further review there starting to become catchy….Mighty Outkast…..1

  23. Boosie- still on my nahright 88 shit Says:

For those cats who only listen to outkast for the beats, and cant understand them:

when they say “I’m a fan in the stands….. saying hey baby” That is some south shit. People say hey baby or hey my baby, when greeting each other.

  24. Shanti Says:

when they say “I’m a fan in the stands….. saying hey baby” That is some south shit. People say hey baby or hey my baby, when greeting each other.

^^i thought that was universal. niggas don’t say that everywhere else?

  25. nBmore Says:

  27. Yung Davito Says:

And not Jigga or lil Chessey. I like it. Good lookin eskay. Andre is a real creative dude. That’s why them fools went DIAMOND!!!

  28. Yung Davito Says:

Hmm… not really feelin Big Boi’s joint though. Shit, it’s funny how just b4 Outkast drop a new album, I always think to myself that this could be the one where they fall off. But shit, if 3000 is rhyming again they good. Dude is colder than a eskimo’s nutsack on that mic apparatus. fo real fo real

^^i mean lol, my bad on calling you out if that wasn’t you but there it is: for lack of anything truly clever, ill or real to say you run to racist commentary about africans. as usual. ain’t your people from africa, nigga? bringing the realness back to nahright? tell us why you hate yourself.

you make me laugh with all this takin’ it back shit when you stay gettin sonned, broken down and bitchslapped. then you back the next day with the same faggot shit like it didn’t happen. “new jacks surrenderin, come home not rememberin” homo thug back for more. you better off in chat room mode, dunny.

    >> I think you might of ate too much goat meat. Its all on your insides.

wrong again. born in bklyn and haven’t eaten meat since i was fifteen. oookay, let’s see if you can come up with something 1) not exposing your idiocy 2) original 3) based on any sort of fact or understanding.

  33. Darth Cipher Says:

these two tracks are no Mighty O, but none the less still hype in my eyes, worth bumping in the ipod… more so morris brown in the ride… good looks

  34. Darth Cipher Says:

well i was reading the other comments and all i gotta say is… best outkast album is without a doubt aquemini!!! i dont think any outkast fan does not bump that album in a semi-heavy rotation…

GOAT Outkast over Wu, i think not, as much as i like outkast, i listen to the Wu alot more, ALOT MORE… outkast cant stack to the lyrics and beats the wu has, no solo’s included just the group effort, Wu still has it in my eyes. honestly these two groups are my favourite hip hop groups i can make alot of arguements for outkast… ahh fuck this arguement… WU-TANG FOREVER

  35. nation of thugacation Says:

why didnt banks speak out when game dropped you know what it is vol.3, or any other mixtape dissing them… oh i know, because its gang green season

  36. HBCU-Band Says:

Shanti you not feeling the Big Boi track! Are you sick in your head? You have got to be from somewhere other then the south and never been around an HBCU band. Never watched the energy of a half time show or the 5th quater. Never felt the band blowing so hard you can feel it in your chest from the other side of the feild. Now imagine if you participated in that. That Big Boi song is FIRE! Welcome to the south. I hope you enjoy your stay!

    @ HBCU-Band

yeah, actually i am from the south. also the more i listened to the big boi track the more i began to like it. if you would scroll up you will see that i never really said the song was wack or anything. obviously its a great song for a band to play and yes, i have watched plenty of HBCU bands perform at half-time.

  39. Ryan Says:

I think the big boi one is cool but I think the Idlewild blue isn’t that good becasue it seems it was made for the movie’s purposes and not a true Oukast song.
