Field Mob Talks Shit About New York

This is too bad, because I actually used to respect these bammas. Oh well. Now, if I was to apply the same logic to this situation that southern fans used when Saigon and Ghostface mentioned their region, right now I’d be generalizing and getting all mad at the entire south for no good reason.

  10. The Cipher Says:

man that shit wasn’t even funny dog… like they were dissing east coast but for reall all i saw them flashin was DTP money, not field mobb money lol… east coast niggas can take out south side niggas anyday of the week no jokes and we all know it, cause east coast got more skills lyrically then them southside niggas, and thats real talk… but yo i would love to see the south pop off on the east coast a bit more, and get the real east coast people startled cause honestly the ones talking bad bout east coast people from the south, are the ones that aint even that hot… i would love to see immortal technique rip those south dudes apart along side the Wu, d-block and unfortunatley im gunna have to bring these guys up(as much as it pains me to say it) G-Unit, cause you know i wonna see who buck is gunna side with haha

  11. she Says:

i think this is all for fun.don’t need to get all serious with it.all i gotta say is have fun with life and don’t take it serious cause its not.niggas gonna be niggas, talking shit.

  12. Darth Cipher Says:

no doubt but still people are gunna see this and flip, cause your disrespecting ther style you know… same way they would get angry if someone dissed the way they spoke

  13. L.P.CROOKS Says:

east VS west I was a young cat so I thought that shit was live
but in real life… ten years later we dont need that shit cuz mufuckaz cant keep that shit on wax

  14. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

G-Unit aint gonna beef with the south 50 loves the south… That comment his bitch ass said wasn’t to DISS the south but it WAS looked at like that.

  15. Darth Cipher Says:

yeah i know… if anything it’ll be more of an attack the individuals… which would make more sense then east vs. south

  16. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

That’s what I’m saying L.P. South niggas are ignorant they don’t battle rap, they battle!

That shit will get WAY outta control.

  17. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    Right…

Too much money will be lost if the whole eastcoast and the whole 3rd coast pop that shit off.

  18. T-Money Bags Says:

bald dude was rappin/singin real feminin like

  19. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Oddly enough it seams as if most people don’t count New Orleans as the south.

  20. Darth Cipher Says:

man that bald dude had me laughing, flashin the DTP chain, i dont get why people with chains think there the shit… just cause you got a chain dont mean your something to care about LOL, showing us money like we aint got none… if anything he should invest that cash, so there next album can get some good money put into it so it doesnt flop LOL

  21. Spanish Jay Says:

No bronx, no them. no def jam, no ludacris, and no new deal for them. ayo didnt one of these dudes have a car crash and have crack found on them. and not freeway rick or fatcat crack, i mean, whitney or dmx type.

  22. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Bald dude is Boondok aka Smoke from the Mob

    The other dude is Kalodge.

  23. Darth Cipher Says:

i dont care for their names… they aint that big too me, and after this, i lost some respect for them… why cant people just live there lives and not start beefs… shit now i want them to get torn apart for instigating

  24. MaddenMaster Says:

Them Niggas Gay!! they fucking wack anyway lets just let that be known…. BANKS SAID IT BEST “16 CHORUSES AN 48 VERSES BOUT UH WHOLE BUNCH OF NOTHING” HALF THEM NIGGAS TRIED TO GET NY RAPPERS ON THEY RECORD BUT THEY COULDN’T NOW THEY ON DVDS TALKING RECKLESS…….. Dont you have to be able to rap a little bit before you talk shit about folks?? No really

  25. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Did you feel the same way when Saigon or Ghost did it? Cipher

  26. Darth Cipher Says:

yeah i did… im a music lover, not a beef lover, i get kinda angry when people instigate shit for no good reason…

  27. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Ok I feel ya know homie… (NO HOMO)

  28. Darth Cipher Says:

man why cant these mainstream hoes just stick to making music, and leave the fucking publicity to models and actors… shit gets me angry when the new generations anticipate the next beefs mixtape over and album like “Be” or “Right About Now”… know what im saying… when that lil brother cd came out i was feeling the tracks hard, but shit they get no radio time or anything and if they did it wasnt for long

  29. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Please note that any and all quotes from G-Unit and/or anyone that affliates with them will be thrown out as tainted evidence toward hip hop.

  30. Darth Cipher Says:

    good point blood

  31. 813 Says:

im from tha south and i personally think this is a fuckin disgrace to us. I listen to more east coast music than south anyways, because quality dictates what i listen to, not where the music came from. dont listen to these cornyass niggas!i used to have somewhat of a lil bit of respect for them, until they just pressed flush on tha toilet by tapin that bullshit. they do not respresent the south (at least not tha hip hop listeners that are intelligent)

  32. L.P.CROOKS Says:

^^^traitor! *contradicts self* just effin wit u

  33. 50 Cent Says:

    @bloodhound

Ah man! Why u gotta go and do that dogg! Is it cuz i rap wack? Is it cuz i sing on alotta hooks!? Fine! I know where i’m not wanted.

Lets go Banks and Buck, us gorillas aint gettin no love here. Lets try the gay bar webisite g-unitworld!

  34. Darth Cipher Says:

813, you make some significant points in this…

  35. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    lmao @ 50

  36. Darth Cipher Says:

well homies i gotta go… got school tomorrow, and luckily for me its only one class haha music history, how lucky am i… peace niggas, try not to get into any arguments while im gone

  37. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    @ 813

I feel what you’re saying. That’s real talk.

But also I liked their 1st album from ashy to classy. I think that was the name or it was 6:13 some shit like that either way it was hot.

  38. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    *Provokes East vs South war*

  39. Da Newz Man Says:

I’ll agree with the peoples that said they lost respect for Feild Mob after this. Why are they even flashing chains in the first place? If it wasnt for Luda, this cats wouldnt have that chain anyways.

But on a lyrical battle, of course we all know that New York will kill the South.

  40. L.P.CROOKS Says:

I think yall might be takin them south cats too lightly…Scarface…Bun B…TI…little wayne…Luda…
    You dont want that problem
    *incites riot*

  41. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Nah personally I feel it’ll be a great battle.

Although New York’s spitters are well known, we have some unknown spitters that are twaeking for the chance to get known, and this just might do it.

  42. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Don’t get caught up in the east coast hype… The south can come with it when needed trust me

  43. Da Newz Man Says:

Yeah but Scarface and Bun B and all them other cats got respect for New York. But seriously could you actually see Feild Mob battling someone like Saigon or Nas? I definitly couldnt! I meen if Scarface, T.I. or Bun B made a song, it wouldnt be taken lightly, but i think those cats you mentioned got much more respect for New York then that. Plus Bun’s close with Jay, and Lil Wayne did film his last video in New York. Luda works for a New York company.

  44. Da Newz Man Says:

But actually i’d rather see Westcoast rappers make a comeback then see a SouthVsNorth type thing. I’d much rather hear a Jayo Felony track then a Feild Mob song dissin New York.

  45. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Keep in mind snoop has respect for new york but he still came through and crushed the buildings.

  46. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    Damn whatever happened to Jayo?

  47. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Prophet B said a Civil war was gonna break out!

  48. Da Newz Man Says:

True about the Snoop thing. But on the Jayo thing, i wish i knew.

  49. Da Newz Man Says:

But then once he did that though C-N-N and Mobb Deep made LA,LA and that shit was kinda ruff.

  50. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Its not about how much respect the artist has for the city in this case.

Its about how much pride he has for his own!

About Jayo the last thing I heard from him was money cash hoes remix.

  51. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

The only ruff thing about it was listening to it… NOTHING the Mobb does is hard.

  52. Da Newz Man Says:

I wish them Westcoast cats would start making more songs man. MC Eiht, Jayo Felony, Crooked I, Kurupt and all them Westcoast rappers that can rap good.

  53. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

I second that homie, Nocturnal and his camp are ok also

  54. L.P.CROOKS Says:

Mc eight just dropped last week same day as ghost^

  55. Da Newz Man Says:

Nocturnal, yeah he ok. I havent heard from him in about 4 or 5 years though.

  56. Da Newz Man Says:

    @L.P.CROOKS

He did? Damn, i didnt even know.

  57. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

The Game WAS actually on his way to revive the West, but that 50 shit slowed him down and made him look bitch

  58. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    @ L.P. Crooks

I think I saw it in Best Buy, but I thought I was tripping cuz I also saw a troll running around naked jerking off to Richard Simmons. *WAS TOO DAMNED HIGH*

  59. Da Newz Man Says:

I’d pick up a MC Eiht cd, that shit that him and Comptons Most Wanted back in the day was nice.

But back on topic, yeah it might be a good battle. But thats if peoples like Cormega, AZ, or Saigon get involved i think.

  60. Da Newz Man Says:

*But back on topic, yeah it might be a good battle. But thats if peoples like Cormega, AZ, or Saigon get involved i think. *

I meant to say dont get involved.

  61. L.P.CROOKS Says:

Yeah that shits called th8ts gangsta and got CMW on it but Its gone be a while b4 i cop that

  62. Demiks Says:

How are they going to insult NY slang, when they “‘alk like they ain’t int got no damn gr’uhmur.” Field Mob needs to go get hooked on phonics, quick! They feel offended because they are emotional and defensive to begin with. Damn!

  63. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

I know niggas underground from the south that could chew saigon up and spit him on Cormega! Real talk!

I have too much respect for AZ but I know niggas on his level… Young niggas

  64. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Everyone from the south is defensive and that’s the real homie.

  65. I HATE U SO MUCH RIGHT NOW! Says:

i really feel like ya’ll mothafucka try’n to start some upnorth, southerm shit! It ain’t kool bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!get cha mind right……. us southern niggaz been on the same shit since day 1, so when we start talk’n don’t act brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  66. L.P.CROOKS Says:

@blood what hood U from…my cuz from tennesee and he wont let nobody stand behind him not even family dawg…thats defensive

  67. CASHVILLE 10A KEY! Says:

AND WE DEFENSIVE CUZ U ACT LIKE WE STUPID, WE PLAY OUR ROLE AND WE DO WHAT WE DO ……………………. CAN’T KNOCK THA HUSTLE!!! CRAB AZZ NIGGAZ!!!! LEARN HOW TO WORK THA GAME 2 YOUR ADVANTAGE… AND STOP HURT’N YA FOLKZ!!!!!

  68. Fresh Says:

You know the great one from Georgia had to give her two cents about this shit.

These niggas do not speak for everybody in the South, first and foremost.

Second, I really ain’t got shit to say about these two ‘specially Shawn Jay. ‘SPECIALLY Shawn Jay. Holla at me Eskay for an amusing story.

  69. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

I’m from the N.O. The former Murda Cap

    Aka choppa city

  70. eskay Says:

I recall you tellin me something about them already Fresh, but I have a weed problem so I forgot it already.

  71. eskay Says:

    >>I know niggas underground from the south that could chew saigon up and spit him on Cormega! Real talk!

    >>I have too much respect for AZ but I know niggas on his level… Young niggas

“we don’t believe you, you need more people”

  72. Da Newz Man Says:

    ^^^

    lol

  73. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

As much as I hate to quote people. Lil Wayne said it best…

“And to the radio stations, I’m tired of being patient/ stop being rapper racists, region haters/ spectators, dictators, behind the door dick takers/ its outragous, you don’t know how sick you make us/ I want to throw up like chips in vegas/ but this is the south so face it/ if we too simple then yall don’t get the basics…”

    That’s real talk…

  74. iniquity Says:

Fuck the South. Fuck ’em. We should have let them go when they wanted to leave. But no, we had to kill half a million people so they’d stay part of our special Union. Fighting for the right to keep slaves – yeah, those are states we want to keep.

And now what do we get? We’re the fucking Arrogant Northeast Liberal Elite? How about this for arrogant: the South is the Real America? The Authentic America. Really?

Cause we fucking founded this country, assholes. Those Founding Fathers you keep going on and on about? All that bullshit about what you think they meant by the Second Amendment giving you the right to keep your assault weapons in the glove compartment because you didn’t bother to read the first half of the fucking sentence? Who do you think those wig-wearing lacy-shirt sporting revolutionaries were? They were fucking blue-staters, dickhead. Boston? Philadelphia? New York? Hello? Think there might be a reason all the fucking monuments are up here in our backyard?

No, No. Get the fuck out. We’re not letting you visit the Liberty Bell and fucking Plymouth Rock anymore until you get over your real American selves and start respecting those other nine amendments. Who do you think those fucking stripes on the flag are for? Nine are for fucking blue states. And it would be 10 if those Vermonters had gotten their fucking Subarus together and broken off from New York a little earlier. Get it? We started this shit, so don’t get all uppity about how real you are you Johnny-come-lately “Oooooh I’ve been a state for almost a hundred years” dickheads. Fuck off.

Arrogant? You wanna talk about us Northeasterners being fucking arrogant? What’s more American than arrogance? Hmmm? Maybe horsies? I don’t think so. Arrogance is the fucking cornerstone of what it means to be American. And I wouldn’t be so fucking arrogant if I wasn’t paying for your fucking bridges, bitch.

All those Federal taxes you love to hate? It all comes from us and goes to you, so shut up and enjoy your fucking Tennessee Valley Authority electricity and your fancy highways that we paid for. And the next time Florida gets hit by a hurricane you can come crying to us if you want to, but you’re the ones who built on a fucking swamp. “Let the Spanish keep it, it’s a shithole,” we said, but you had to have your fucking orange juice.

The next dickwad who says, “It’s your money, not the government’s money” is gonna get their ass kicked. Nine of the ten states that get the most federal fucking dollars and pay the least… can you guess? Go on, guess. That’s right, motherfucker, they’re red states. And eight of the ten states that receive the least and pay the most? It’s too easy, asshole, they’re blue states. It’s not your money, assholes, it’s fucking our money. What was that Real American Value you were spouting a minute ago? Self reliance? Try this for self reliance: buy your own fucking stop signs, assholes.

Let’s talk about those values for a fucking minute. You and your Southern values can bite my ass because the blue states got the values over you fucking Real Americans every day of the goddamn week. Which state do you think has the lowest divorce rate you marriage-hyping dickwads? Well? Can you guess? It’s fucking Massachusetts, the fucking center of the gay marriage universe. Yes, that’s right, the state you love to tie around the neck of anyone to the left of Strom Thurmond has the lowest divorce rate in the fucking nation. Think that’s just some aberration? How about this: 9 of the 10 lowest divorce rates are fucking blue states, asshole, and most are in the Northeast, where our values suck so bad. And where are the highest divorce rates? Care to fucking guess? 10 of the top 10 are fucking red-ass we’re-so-fucking-moral states. And while Nevada is the worst, the Bible Belt is doing its fucking part.

But two guys making out is going to fucking ruin marriage for you? Yeah? Seems like you’re ruining it pretty well on your own, you little bastards. Oh, but that’s ok because you go to church, right? I mean you do, right? Cause we fucking get to hear about it every goddamn year at election time. Yes, we’re fascinated by how you get up every Sunday morning and sing, and then you’re fucking towers of moral superiority. Yeah, that’s a workable formula. Maybe us fucking Northerners don’t talk about religion as much as you because we’re not so busy sinning, hmmm? Ever think of that, you self-righteous assholes? No, you’re too busy erecting giant stone tablets of the Ten Commandments in buildings paid for by the fucking Northeast Liberal Elite. And who has the highest murder rates in the nation? It ain’t us up here in the North, assholes.

Well this gravy train is fucking over. Take your liberal-bashing, federal-tax-leaching, confederate-flag-waving, holier-than-thou, hypocritical bullshit and shove it up your ass.

And no, you can’t have your fucking convention in New York next time. Fuck off.

    lol

  75. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    lol @ Eskay

    But its real talk homie.

Put it like this, Eastcoast underground and Southern Underground is different.

Yall undergroud shit is mainstream compared to the souths shit, because its just that hard to get on down here.

People hear yall underground down here but how many Sqad Mixtapes have you heard? How many C.T.C. Mixtapes have you heard? How about Choppa City? Those are just a few New Orleans mix tapes, they have dudes in Houston, with mix tapes Baton Rouge Dallas, Tenn. Miss, Bama, etc everywhere in the south and its good shit, the only thing holding them back is the fact they are from the south and they don’t have enough money from hustling to get heard.

  76. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

    @ iniquity

    Shut the fuck up!!!

Thank you… You’re making REAL americans look bad.

    You Commy!!1

  77. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Damn this best is gold already… It may go platinum before sunrise!

  78. eskay Says:

yo Blood I hear you my nigga, and I’m sure there is alot of underground southern shit I haven’t heard, but I’m a NY nigga and I’m always gonna hold it for NY to the death. it’s very unlikely that I would ever admit to any other region being better than us, just because this is where I came up and fell in love with rap. I think everybody should probably be like that about their region, but I just be wanting to make sure they respect NY too.

I respect every region, cuz they all got spitters, every single one of them, but I’m a biased, arrogant, stubborn ass new york nigga so nobody can’t tell me shit. that Weezy verse you quoted, from Shooter, you think I don’t know about it, but you have no idea how much I ran that song dog…and I felt what he was saying about how niggas be sleepin on the south and all that. so you know, I’m not one of these fools who be talking all out they ass no homo. if i criticise something, it’s for good reason.

  79. eskay Says:

    >>but I just be wanting to

damn where’d I go to school. whatever, I’m piffed up

  80. GET Says:

    Fuck the South

    They been losing since 1865

  81. THE WHITE MAN (OPPRESSOR) Says:

THANK U WHITE JESUS FOR HELPING US KEEP BLACKS N LATINOS POOR N UNEDUCATED SO THEY CAN KILL THEMSELVES N GIVE US A REASON TO LOCK THEM UP…..

  82. Da Newz Man Says:

    @Bloodhound

I get where you’re getting at. Unless you’re from Atlanta, your shit aint really going to get heard from down South.

But if you think about it if your from the Midwest its almost impossible for your shit to get heard right now, unless your from Chicago or St. Lois. The West is the same way too. Right now unless your rappin with that hyphy shit your music aint gettin heard across America if your from the West.

But i aint no region hater, i listen to cats from all over. Dont matter where their from to me. As long as they can rap.

  83. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

lol @ Es real talk homie I feel you man (no homo) if you don’t hold it down for the home front who will?

I’m glad to see you bump some N.O. Shit! (No homo) That’s real homie. Word up

  84. born7allah Says:

And about that atl shit… You’re right yet again!

  87. Blood Hound aka Slum Lord Says:

Spider Loc just keeps trying to show the world he’s down with the Crips and the G-Unit, he has tattoed “G-Unit CRIP” on his arm. When the press asked him what a “G-Unit Crip” was this is what he had to say…

Spider Loc: Aight niggas, i’m gonna get this shit straight. A “G-unit Crip” is someone with no gang affiliation at all! But is a rapper, weed carrier, or jewelry carrier for the G-unit. “G-Unit Crips” are also fake gangstas who rock blue bandanas and clothes to fool the world that they are down with real crips. Sorry for the inconvenience to those who thought i was really gangbanging, its all a act.

  121. reggaetonslasher Says:

I think most of your are forgetting where this hatred towards the south is coming from, much eastcoast cats are happy with the souths movement, a lot of hungry families are getting fed, but heres where the problem lies, Niggas like D4L, and those other guys I foget them bitches names, is destroying the integrity of this thing we call hip hop. real reconize real across the board, so if you from atl, houston, the N.O, and spit that shit real and hard, thats the common ground, but if your exploiting the culture and tearing at the thread of the art, then thats when real hip hop enthusiast take it personal. This is not a fight against south, its a fight to perserve hip hop.

  124. E From BK Says:

Let’s keep it real. There is good music everywhere. When 50 says what he says it was for a reason. Field Mob has done it for the same reason. This is a publicity stunt! I believe Luda cosigned this bullshit. I’m sure they got the okay from him. I actually like these cats. I like where they are from. Albany, GA has some of the finest chicks in the South. It’s all good though. Hopefully their record sales will increase (I’m sure that’s what they are trying to do) and they will get more exposure. The thing with that is the way artists go about things. I used to like 50(no Camron), but he went at Ja then turned around and did the exact same shit. What did 50 do? He lost me as a consumer. I used to like Cam(no Camron), but he started rhyming like Barney. He lost me as a consumer. I used to like Luda(no Camron) then he came out with his first radio single. He lost me as a consumer.(If you all don’t know, Luda lyrically is 5 times better than his albums. I said all thisa to say that perception is everything. I perceive that while Field Mob may gain consumers. They will lose me as a consumer because I don’t like rappers(actors) that sell their souls behind beef.

TI(south) fucked wit blaze(east) Jezzy(south) fucked wit jay(east), Bun fucks wit every body. people swear america always beafin wit eachother just cause 2 people said some comments about a cost dont mean everyone feels the same way. Thats how the east, west beef started. pac, suge and snoop had prollems wit bad boy and the media blew it up to a coastal war. You cant beive every thing you read or see on the news.

i just heard on the news that they found 10 dead bodies arount the toronto area in a couple of trunks from somme motor cycle gang. These Toronto people always killin people(sarkasim)

3.The southern artist will start a stop hating campaign, and release a tracked called Pig Feet Grillz.
4.Young Buck will show its loyalty to G-unit, and smack Paul Wall.
    5. Ghost and some affiliates will kidnap 2 members of D4L, and torture them by hog tieing them, hanging them off the verrazao bridge and tossing cds at them.

im with you again. everyone needs to stop hating an generalizing people together weather its by race or region i know mad ghetti gnorant thug black guys and i know mad smart articulate college bound polite and proper black men i know white trash scum of the earth racist assholes and i know mad cool chill white people its all relative and to hate on someone from where they are from or the color of their skin is the same shit that got us to the point that we are at now and to just try and switch it and continue to call all whites devils that shit aint gonna help blacks progress at all the more. its like a player in basketball drives to the hoop think he gets fouled and stops to complain to the ref how he got robbed and foulded meanwhile the guy he should be defnding took the rebound down court and slammed it home to win the game all while the dude was complaining to the ref, complaing does nothing but give you something to do, complaining gets you no where. yea obvioulsy your avg. black man/women still faces a more difficult life ahead of them and is generally a harder path to follow but there are plenty of black people who done came up from nothing and have turned them and their families around and they will know be caked up living comfortably in the burbs until the world ends, and those people didnt complain they got up off there asses and fought against the grain and made it do what it do. so if all these others can make it past the persicution of “the white man” why cant the others?

  176. Stephen C. Says:

    tyronebiggums,

i respect your comments but as far the south been dissing ny for years, and now is taking shots back, if ne thing u got that backwards…for every comment u can post form a southern act dissing someone from the north…i’llk post 2 vice-a versa

  178. Ohio Nigga Says:

I dont care how good the next “big thing”from ny be.Because of their lack of repect for other regions.Nobody aint gonna buy they shit. Its something like not bein scared of the bully no more. When u beat the bully.Whatever he say dont mean shyt no more.

  179. Ricky D Says:

  186. tyronebiggums71 Says:

I met this girl, when I was ten years old
And what I loved most she had so much soul
She was old school, when I was just a shorty
Never knew throughout my life she would be there for me
Ont he regular, not a church girl she was secular
Not about the money, no studs was mic checkin her
But I respected her, she hit me in the heart
A few new york niggaz, had did her in the park
But she was there for me, and I was there for her
Pull out a chair for her, turn on the air for her
And just cool out, cool out and listen to her
Sittin on a bone, wishin that I could do her
Eventually if it was meant to be, then it would be
Because we related, physically and mentally
And she was fun then, I’d be geeked when she’d come around
Slim was fresh yo, when she was underground
Original, pure untampered and down sister
Boy I tell ya, I miss her

    Now periodically I would see
Ol girl at the clubs, and at the house parties
She didn’t have a body but she started gettin thick quick
Did a couple of videos and became afrocentric
Out goes the weave, in goes the braids beads medallions
She was on that tip about, stoppin the violence
About my people she was teachin me
By not preachin to me but speakin to me
In a method that was leisurely, so easily I approached
She dug my rap, that’s how we got close
But then she broke to the WEST COAST, and that was COOL
Cause around the same time, I went away to school
And I’m a man of expandin, so why SHOULD I stand in her way
She probably get her money in L.A.
AND SHE DID STUD, SHE GOT BIG PUB BUT WHAT WAS FOUL
SHE SAID THAT THE PRO-BLACK WAS GOING OUT OF STYLE
She said, afrocentricity, was of the past
So she got into r&b hip-house bass and jazz
NOW BLACK MUSIC IS BLACK MUSIC AND ITS ALL GOOD
I WASN’T SALTY SHE WAS WITH THE BOYS IN THE HOOD
Cause that was good for her, she was becomin well rounded
I thought it was dope how she was on that freestyle shit
Just havin fun, not worried about anyone
And you could tell, by how her titties hung

I might’ve failed to mention that the shit was creative
But once the man got you well he altered the native
Told her if she got an energetic gimmick
That she could make money, and she did it like a dummy
Now I see her in commercials, she’s universal
She used to only swing it with the inner-city circle
Now she be in the burbs lickin rock and dressin hip
And on some dumb shit, when she comes to the city
Talkin about poppin glocks servin rocks and hittin switches
Now she’s a gangsta rollin with gangsta bitches
Always smokin blunts and gettin drunk
Tellin me sad stories, now she only fucks with the funk
Stressin how hardcore and real she is
She was really the realest, before she got into showbiz
I did her, not just to say that I did it
But I’m committed, but so many niggaz hit it
That she’s just not the same lettin all these groupies do her
I see niggaz slammin her, and takin her to the sewer
But i’ma take her back hopin that the shit stop
Cause who I’m talkin bout y’all is hip-hop

THATS THE SONG THAT GOT CUBE HEATED THATS WHAT YOU CALL DISSING A WHOLE COAST? DAMN I GUESS CUBE WAS TOUCHER THAN DOWN SOUTH FOLKS FOR GETTING BENT ABOUT LAFFY TAFFY

“that Weezy verse you quoted, from Shooter, you think I don’t know about it, but you have no idea how much I ran that song dog…”

Yo Es, the original “Shooter” on Robin Thicke’s first album is hotter.

@ Ty Biggs… that “hypothetical” basketball player you are referring to is Kobe, lol.

@ Ricky D… FUCK DC! Nah, not really. I’m from Baltimore so it was protocol for me to say at least once. Because the social scene in D.C. is way better than ours, no doubt.

    My take on this…

Well, I haven’t viewed the clip yet, but I saw this coming. I just didn’t think it would be from these 2 clowns. I mean, I was a fan when they dropped the “Sick of Being Lonely” shit. I thought it was creative, lyrical, and fun at the same time. Not to mention it was hot on radio. And I even liked the “Georgia” ish. But what we as fans, and more importanly as Black (and Hispanic) people, shouldn’t do is let these yukkity-yuks perpetuate the stereotype that is prevalent throughout hip hop and the Black community. Yes, Ghost and Sai did speak against the South but it was only in terms of the quality of music, not the region as a whole. As Sai already said, his mother and much of his family from South. Therefore, him dissin’ the region as a whole would be asinine. And as for Ghost dissin’ D4L, even Jeezy had jokes for them on the latest mixtape he’s on being hosted by KaySlay. I hope Luda isn’t co-signing this nonsense, but if he is then he should be ashamed of himself. He had a lot of respect on the Northeast because he’s lyrical and you know we respect that more than anything else. And I must co-sign with Joe 88 about Lil Wayne’s lyrical content and ability. Because in the past with the 500 Degreez album, I could hear him desperately attempting to copy the State Property, Philly flow. His whole style and demeanor these days is all Northeast swagger, anyone can see that. But also I’ve noticed the adoption of Southern slang and dialect by Northeasters, and personally it makes me sick to my stomach. This so-called is just another form of segregation that mainstream (white) media will use to attempt to sell records and stir controversy. Don’t allowed yourself to be swindled by the propaganda. Even Little Brother, who are the most lyrical and Stic.man from Dead Prez, said that the South has never been known for the content and substance like music from the Northeast (Public Enemy) and West (NWA) has been able to do. And this is also why Little Brother and Dead Prez sell out shows in the Northeast region, because people respect their ability to lyrical and poised. The Ghetto Boys did their thing in the 80’s and early 90’s. And even a few of the early No Limit and Cash Money in the early 90’s had something to say. But like I said, it isn’t about where you’re from, it’s the content of the music. Because right now, every fuckin’ mixtape in the Northeast sounds the same… straight retarded. I think we need to see the bigger picture…

@ Joe 88… speakin’ of wack ish, who’s really hot in Bmore right now? Heard anything good lately? I haven’t listened to 92Q for a few months now so I don’t know who’s the “new” MC. Oh yeah, I hope that clown Young Leek (who got signed to Def Jam) gets booed off every stage he sets foot on. And I hope the A&R who said he has potential gets fired and blackballed from the industry.

  190. Kenyon Says:

I really dont know what Field Mob said but I probably would agree. Comming from some of the best lyrisists from the south I cant help but to agree. I like the quality music New York was putting out back in the day. But right now New York is straight garbadge. They made a boring attempt to try to get crunk (Dipset). They copy southern beats and then try to justify it. Its cool though because what goes around comes around.

I like snap music and the harlem shake! LOL

    Listen to Field Mob!

By the way Field Mobs album comming out soon! Please be sure to cop it because I will!

Instead of starting unnecessary shit, I wish dudes would come together?? Only in rap music does this type of shit go on! 234. E From BK Says:

    @Kenyon

Let’s see. Outkast at the Dome or even Philips Arena? Hmmmmm. That would be great, but you know for a fact that shit will never happen. They can get the Fox or the Civic Center, but the Dome or Philips? I don’t think so. It won’t happen not because they are not hot. Not because they are not a talented group who is worthy. It won’t happen because the powers that be won’t allow that shit. Duke, please take the emotion out of it and let’s get to the politics of it all. Georgia is notorious for shutting out Hip Hop. These people will not let people mess up their venues. The Scream tours were able to be pulled off because the audience is mostly 13 year old girls. Outkast would have a different crowd.

  235. E From BK Says:

Frankly, I wont waste my time with you. You dont know shit about the south, Georgia the be percise. I dont care if you live in the south (which is very ironic seeing how NY is suposed to be the best city in the world). But anyway niggas down here have mad respect for outkast, so dont try to teach a Georgia native about what we like listening to. New yoork is notorious for being the Dictator of hip hop (which again is very ironic seeing how this is a demarocy and all). But we support our real shit.

  239. E From BK Says:

Does everybody see how it works? How when the truth is told people resort to being nasty? I spent that entire post giving my opinion why I believed a talented group like Outkast would not get a chance to play a big arena in their home town and Dule started insulting me. Can anyone please tell me where I was disrespectful? That’s the problem with alot of these people who post on here. The truth stings like a bee and some people are allergic. I know more about the South than you if you believe Outkast will be playing in the Dome or Philips. Duke, I’m in the hood every day! I bet I can go more places than you and not have a problem. I work hard in these communities with everyday people. I’m on Donald Lee Hollowell(yall know it as Bankhead) every single day! I know the politics about this town as well. Get your weight up homie. The first chick I started messing with got real pissed and got these cats to try and run up on me. Well, my dudes that run the “H” intervened. I didn’t even have to do anything. Anyway, them cats that tried to run up on me got put on punishment and was only allowed in a two block radius. I thought that shit was hilarious. Nobody had to even pull out the choppas. I laughed on the plane all the way back to the “A.” Alot of these cats is fugazee!

It’s fucked up, but yall niggas shoulda just shut what we call the fuck up. When yall come out with some wack shit, we just don’t listen. If you don’t like some shit don’t play it, don’t mention it, don’t even open your ears up to it. It’s fucked up niggas can’t just have money and make music with the hate. Lord willing all this stays on wax and niggas can battle it out like that. And to think all this bubbled over off Laffy Taffy. Lord help us all.

    nahright readers,

where i don’t agree with idiots like texas G, I would be hesitant to call “field mob “bammers…there first album “613: Ashy to Classy” is really good…they are in fact creative, and they do posses some lyrical skill…i’m not condoning the ignorance that some of my southern brethern are displaying (texas g)…but merely pointing out this is not D4L, you’ll are talking about. They have 2 good albums to their credit…and I believe luda noticed this…Lightpoles and Pinetrees, will soon c…

if someone got their first album please up a link

  273. Fresh Says:

  275. The Landlord Says:

    @ Texas G
Bamma is a term used for any country-ass, unintelligent, ignorant, stupid ass fools, whether they be from north, south, east or west. However being as though you catching feelings over use of the word, you must have a guilty conscience…Someone said Texas aint in the south, thats bullshit..it aint east, west, or north…what is it?…I guess texas bammas just trying to separate themselves from the rest of the bammas in the south…Scarface is nice, daedPrez is nice, luda is a’ight, little brother is great…after that aint shit happening south of Maryland..Fuck sales..brown people with good sense aint buying that bullshit…WU-Tang Forever

  276. Elz Says:

You Know Hip Hop is almost dead when Mike Jones goes 3x platinum.

The south, not standing for niggas to discriminate…or talk about us…

eskay you said you rep your coast to death, what do you think field mobb was doing? the same thing, week in and week out i have to witness New Yorker down and stereotype the south, and yall get heated when yall niggas get clown? Stop the bullshit…I will say this again…if you dont like our music dont listen to it…period!!! I don’t listen to alot of the bullshit down here or the east coast…period!!! but I will represent for my side like you will good or bad…

  278. doc holiday Says:

ditto to fresh…this shit is interesting.

albums sales dont equal skills…not too many artists out right now from south will stand the test of time…like d4l, and dfb…where’s crime mob?

texas g has a point as far as who’s sellin….50 the only rapper from ny that i can think of thats sellin….

sidebar…im from nyc…born and raised….im not biased though.

the clip was funny….i wont say we lost as a city/state…cause it wasnt even nothing special. i looked at that like i looked at ghost and meth doing the laffy taffy dance.

ny DJs get on my nerve talking about they want the real music to play, and they steady playin laffy taffy…do what them dude do in the south…and dont play theyre shit…they dont play ours.

  279. eskay Says:

    >>the same thing, week in and week out i have to witness New Yorker down and stereotype the south

well you don’t hear me doing that shit so tell it to somebody else. and truth be told them Field Mob niggas is bammas, tell me they ain’t.

    >>The south, not standing for niggas to discriminate…or talk about us…

so what’s good with the double standard? they can talk shit on this video but we can’t talk shit back? whats that about? i guess I’m supposed to stay quiet about shit like this huh?

  280. eskay Says:

    >>i looked at that like i looked at ghost and meth doing the laffy taffy dance.

yeah but Ghost was clowning one group and one song. these niggas is talking about me personally. now can you imagine if Ghost or another up top rapper started clowning these niggas for their slang? we’d never hear the end of it. shit, niggas called 50 racist when he dissed the south last month. get that fucking double standard outta my face. (not you doc, I’m just venting)

  281. she Says:

i’m not from ny but i been there, but what is a bamma?clear me up folks!

  282. The Landlord Says:

field slobs…these coonin’ ass bammas had a live ass swine in they’re most popular video…up to this point that’s they’re claim to fame, doing videos with a live HOG, rhyming about “taking baths with soap the size of a certs”..wtf?…. i guess they couldnt afford one of them prime ass ATL video vixens…..those coonin’ crack smokin” fellas definitely aint the ones to call out NY, just like Benzino didnt have enough weight to call out Em(even though he was right)….these Bammas are waaaaay out of pocket….field slobs

  283. The Landlord Says:

    @ she says
    i addressed that earlier

  284. jersey Says:

Mannnn how could any sensible individuals take either one of these catz including the clown w/ the black shirt on, seriously? 4Real…..lol…They definitely are not simbolic of true hip hop artist from the south……They just made a error in good judgement and proffessionalism as well as the very real possibilitie of carrer sucide (thats unless they are truly willing to enter realm of serious BEEFING!) And by the looks of their immature behaivior I know them N*gga’s dont really wanna ride the BEEF TRAIN….lol…..

  285. jersey Says:

  286. cyde hustla Says:

    >>The south, not standing for niggas to discriminate…or talk about us…

I never said that you shouldn’t rep…your side…hell like you said “NY till death” my nigga do you, but you hot when someone else rep they side? why would they let NY disrespect them time after time…

and the south in a whole stop listen to 50 cent a long time ago…(that nigga is ja rule to the fifth power…period!!), but its like your the person with the double standard…you have post up(or links), about the south bitching, and when someone say something about “the birth place of rap”…you get a period! Stop it my nigga…like i said you either fuck wit us or you dont…

we don’t need the support my nigga we got this…we run this rap shit!!!

  287. cyde hustla Says:

  290. The Landlord Says:

    @cyde hustla

    fake muslim uncle tom????
you poor little lost soul..Islam could give you the guidance you obviously need. Once again here YOU go, equating intellect and articulation with tomming…Uncle tomming is repressing your own ethnicity(blackness) to appease and fit in, and be accepted by massa (whitey)..By you disrespecting Islam(the religion of the 1st slaves), and the Nation of Islam(..bean pies), you are serving massa’s cause, so who’s the tom…you seriously need knowledge of self AND knowledge of your true and open enemies(crakkkers)….but please try not to f— with me…your arms are too short to box with GOD…..you are barking up the wrong tree dog.

  291. jersey Says:

    good question…..

  295. Bugsytheboss Says:

Let the south get they little shine besides new york don’t really need nobody but 50 cent I mean one 50 cent album=all the south sales, record spins, endorsements plus more. So new york niggas shouldnt be insecure
GUNIT got the rap game on lock PERIOD

  296. jersey Says:

  297. cyde hustla Says:

    @landlord…

my nigga…stop that dumb shit you on!!!come on dog….So i dont have knowledge (or guidance) cause im not a muslim? think about that dumb shit you said again, and how the hell if your so pro-black as you claim you are how can you call your own black people(bammas)? you sound more red neck to me than jeff foxworthy, homie…my dog, you a fraud! a walking contradiction!

  299. BEASTNIGGA Says:

coming soon to a hood near you….

  300. E From BK Says:

    @cyde hustla

Why did you disrespect the religion? Do you know the science behind you doing that?

  301. The Landlord Says:

because i love my people, and because of my age, experience, status in the community, I have earned the right to be called a leader of men. If one of my people is out of line , I call it to their attention so they can reflect on their own behavior, thats love homey. Also, i posted earlier there are bammas from all coasts and regions, but for some reason a select few southerners(ie.,you) start catching feelings when you hear the word bamma…You must have a guilty conscience…Poor little fella…The Nation can save you…the sunnis can save you…the shiites can save you…that shit you on can get you killed

  302. The Landlord Says:

^^^^^oh by the way that was for you cyde hustla…as if you didnt know

  303. KLO Says:

Man phuck those clown ass slow motherfucking country niggas! They can’t be serious! Field Mobb…yeah, right! Not even Luda can do anything with these niggas!

NY ALL DAY EVERYDAY! Them niggas better keep there clown ass down in the country or wherever the fuck they are from!

  304. BEASTNIGGA Says:

field mob,…. what can i say? they look stupid because they are not relevent. if they were somebody niggas would take them serious, but they ain’t shit. look like a marketing ploy to me. nothing sells better than sex and controversy. give that shit no never mind. all my southern niggaz breathe easy. its all good. they like you . they just think yall fucked up wit laffy atme . i agree. bounce back and come strong. all my up north niggas give them niggas a break. they came along way since kilo and mc shy d. everybody just fallback, and do them

  305. cyde hustla Says:

    @ landlord

real talk my nigga…thats shit you on will get YOU killed…im good, any hood…

if you so self-righteous as you claim…why are you callin’ blacks people(bammas)? I didnt said a coast (check my posts), but majority of the time you are callin’ rappers from the south(bammas), and thats a fact…so who the hell you trying to fool…A REAL NIGGA see thru you…

and was up with this nigga hollin’ 50 cent killin’ the south by himself? Is he serious?! “If i was your bestfriend”- 50 cent and thats yall nigga?

    @ E from BK

I didnt disrespect muslim my nigga…I don’t fuck with that one nigga…quit co-signing my nigga…

    @KLO

shut the fuck up! THE SOUTH RUN THIS RAP SHIT!!!

  306. OSOsexyJessica Says:

Well Im from N.C.(North Carolina) and back in the day the south used to get laughed at in the Rap industry. Nobody took the South serious. We never got shout out in song, but now the South is holdin there own. Now everybody want to collabe. Sellin Mixtape with the south on it, we never had that shit before. He was just tellin the truth how you’ll want to show us love.. but back in the day you’ll laughed at us …

  307. E From BK Says:

You did disrespect Muslims. You were disrespectful with that “go sell a bean pie” shit. If you didn’t notice, this is a blog where everyone gives an opinion. I’m not cosigning anything, just pointing out that you are very disrespectful. That’s like if some White person told you to “go eat some fried chicken” or something like that. Though there is nothing wrong with eating fried chicken it is meant as a derogatory insult. You said your comment in that same context. Now if you just got a little emotional then just admit that, but you did mean it in a disrespectful manner.

  308. cyde hustla Says:

    @ E from BK

again I was going a one person…now if YOU wanna that as disrespect…say that, but dont try to state it as how YOU took it…say it as how it was stated…period…and you was co-signing good or bad my nigga…point blank!!! now to that one, person it was meant in a disrespectful way to HIM…but dont try to include the whole religion…like if a white person told me to “eat some fried chicken”, i would be like “okay”, well “pass me the apple pie”…yall nigga too sensitive…period…

  309. Stephen C. Says:

just saw the 50 cent interview, where he supposedly dissed the south…I was already to hurl several 4 letter words at him…but I unfortunately I was dissapointed…I didn’t take his comments as insults…mtv just slapped a “50-cent Disses the South” title on it and chooped his remarks up to make it look like a diss…still his katrina comments were a little insensitive…I still and always will hate 50 cent…one thing in the interview i didn’t like was…how can he say anyone is degrading hip-hop with simplified music…dats nigga is as simple as it gets…just cause you got some hot beats from dr dre don’t mean ur helping hip-hop…sombody please tell me when this foll has helped hip-hop…he almost killed it by releasing tony yayo albums and definitely will, if he releases a spider loc album

…PS …project pat is the truth 2006 will be his year.

  310. E From BK Says:

    @cyde hustla

Too sensitive? You are too disrespectful. When you said what you said it was foul and you know it. You just don’t shit on anyone’s religion. Some things are not cool and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Yeah, some people may be too sensitive, but some other people play way too much. Again, I understand that your emotions got the best of you and you hit “submit comment” before you really thought what you wrote. It’s cool though. Stay up.

  311. jersey Says:

OSO nobody got a free pass with 100% love coming into the rap game or any other game for that matter….The issue here iz that these brothers are actin silly and ignorant..plain and simple….How iz puttin garbage talk that requires very little thought, add to the betterment of hip hop?….And by the way , If what you say is true (south got laughed @) hypothetically speaking then , does that condone a individual disrespecting his self in a attempt to disrespect others?…..Does two wrongs make a right?……There is enuff outside forces trying to destroy hip hop as it is….there iz enough paper for all out there…..Dissing iz one thing..But Stupidity apparently iz contagious…look @ these Blogs….

  312. jersey Says:

And by the way THAT very LONG HISTORY (HIS-STORY) Class Brought to you by INIQUITY was GARBAGE!!!!!!……Hes A FUCKIN Politician!!!!!

I actually laugh when up-topers make fun of our slang and the things we say. I lkie being called a bammer its funny to me, I dont take shit too seriously.

I really like what that Jersey dude posted about chitlins and grits it was funny. It is true too, we do like that kind of shit in the south, Quit “wildlin B”.

Hell, you gotdam right I love me some good chiltins, pig feet, pig ear and grits so I ain’t trippin.

  359. OneTwo Says:

I personally love this. The south is supposedly on top, why do they give a fuck whether we give them props or not? They’re coming across as bitches in my opinion.

“OMG, the east secretly dissing us, by repping their hometown. Even though we do that shit ad nauseam throughout half of every song we put out.”

Gee, maybe if the south came with harder shit than the Ying Yang Twins and D4L, you wouldn’t be getting clowned. When Scarface and Outkast were on top, everybody had love for the south. The shit that’s getting burn now is trash. Period.

  360. eskay Says:

^Well you know, if those dudes were just fucking around, I might have found it funny, but I’m not convinced that they were. I think that was their roundabout way of dissing us and then being able to cop out like on some ‘oh nah we was just playing’ shit. Which if that is the case, was straight up soft. If them fools want to dis NY tell ’em they should make a dis track to someone sepcific so they can get they ass handed to them on the mic.

BTW – Are you one of those dudes from WordofSouth.com? Cuz if so, you guys lost big time by replying to Bol and getting all emotional. Don’t ya’ll see how he’s playing you all like a piano? smh. how are you gonna come in here and act like this is no big deal and we’re overreacting, but ya’ll niggas is ready to hunt Bol down and kill him cuz he dissed UGK? You seriously don’t see the hypocricy in that?

  361. Bugsytheboss Says:

G-UNIT is NEW YORK rap and 50 cent is the head so NY is getting money and record sales. The only thing the south got going on is they took over the radio becuzz all they make is party and club music

  362. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

First of all, im not from wordofsouth.com I just enjoy going to that site. If you wanna put us in the category with us “getting all emotional” then that wouldnt sit to well with you being upset with Field Mobb now would it.

How are you going to sit here and tell me about killing somebody who dissed UGK, and your mindstate is on the same shit refering to Field Mob. Bitch you said we were overracting on some shit about Ghostface. The fact that some niggas finally spoke up is playing you like a piano isnt it eskay. The fact that no MTV list or your fucked up tunnel-visoned ideas on hip hop can knock our dominance down.

Wanna know why Field Mobb aint got no gotdam diss track well same question applies to (Ghostface, 50 cent, Jadakiss, Kay Slay, and ya boy Saigon)

Personally on a real note, I really hope they were not playing because aint nobody gonna sit back and let some niggas who don’t know shit about us diss our culture.

I was trying to keep the peace but niggas like you come at ppl the wrong way and try to justify it by saying were igronant.

Your hypocricy basically comes out in your statements about us being bammers, then you say you got love for the south.

Just lie Bun B saud “God kills hate with Love” and I took what Field Mob said was a joke. Had your dumbass read the comment and read post I said I took it as a joke I didnt care or really give a dam if you did dumbass. Just read beyond the first few lines that got you all bitched up maybe we could of had a better conversation.

But in any event, I don’t ride anyones dick I say what I feel and couldnt give a good gotdam who’s website this is.

Talking about us getting to emotional LOOK AT YOUR POST ESKAY the pot can’t call the kettle black or in your case an emotional dumbass.

So in closing, fuck this website and this post and you eskay.

    Mr. SarcASStic:

First off you fucking bamma, by posting this shit Field Mob is saying, I’m exposing you ignorant ass Southern hip hop fans (which doesn’t mean all of you just niggas like you) for what you are, hippocrates. How come this is cool, but when Bol makes a half joking post about Bun B you niggas is ready to ride on him? We don’t get emotional over here young boy, which is why in my post I said that if I was like your dumbasses, I would be getting all mad and dissing everybody in Atlanta or the South like how niggas dissed New York after Bol’s article, when meanwhile, he ain’t even from here.

Trust me, nobody wants to kill Field Mob, most niggas in NY never even heard of these clowns, trust me when I tell you. And ya’ll were overreacting on Ghost because he dissed one group and you niggas got all teary eyed like “stop talking about the South” like anybody gives a fuck. These bammas on the other hand, are specifically talking shit about New York so fuck em. No emotion, just fuck ’em, cuz these dudes are so inconsequential in the rap game its not even funny.

    >>Wanna know why Field Mobb aint got no gotdam diss track well same question applies to (Ghostface, 50 cent, Jadakiss, Kay Slay, and ya boy Saigon)

What are you even talking about? Those people have no dis tracks because they weren’t dissing the enitre south they were dissing a particular kind of music that your stupid ass keeps sticking up for like it’s actually good or something. But you’re to fucking emotional to differentiate between the two so in your tunnel vision you assume they’re talking about everyone.

    >>I was trying to keep the peace but niggas like you come at ppl the wrong way and try to justify it by saying were igronant.

    >>Your hypocricy basically comes out in your statements about us being bammers, then you say you got love for the south.

I didn’t call you a bamma until now, so what are you talking about? I called Field Mob bammas cuz thats what they are. Don’t like it? I could give a flying fuck you bamma.

I read where you said you saw it as a joke, but really who the fuck cares about your opinion? Of course you’re gona co-sign that shit, cuz in actuality you’re a closet New York hater. Any reasonable person knows that I got love for authentic southern music, but you show up here one day and act like you know anything about me. fall the fuck back.

Sooo in closing, Fuck you and everything you love nigga!

  366. Trouble Maker Says:

Man people…are getting a lot of shit twisted…@ landlord once again we find you saying some real shit…just the wrong time and place….this is music period and to humor your thoughts on the matter will lead us to a topic other than music. But keep preaching dawg i feel you….when you find a forum about what the black man needs to do to lift themselves up let me know and you and me can go back and forth on this issue….@eskay…you and i already came to terms about this whole east vs. south issue right? I excepted that you were gonna rep your section and you excepted that i was gonna rep mine. So i understand the feelings you got when you saw that shit….i know because those are the same feelings i get when i see some off brand shit about my section. On that Bol issue i agree he knew what he was doing….but i said that in my post to him…but he still needs to be careful because he could be commiting career suicide. these are all just opinions….people are intitled to that…but some of the comments on here have nothing to do with music…..like “we should have let y’all go when y’all wanted to secede” what does that have to do with music? And be honest, the sensitivity of a subject is relative…so if someone is offended by being called a “bamma” that is the same as telling some one to “go sell a bean pie”. i see a lot of people take this to heart…..calm down…..because i don’t need people making attempts on my life when i come up there…and i don’t plan on hunting a beef with any cat from the east. But one thing i would like the people from the east to reflect on about this post….taking the feeling you got from listening to them dis NY, and that is how we feel everytime we hear a dis coming from somewhere else. especially from the east because y’all should be the proudest that we got shit pumping down here. we should be collabing on shit to make sure that we all keep eating, but when we hear “fuck the south” it is like a spit in the face. It is a complete disregard for what has been accomplished, and a complete disregard for the fact that east coast rap has always had the support of the south. And if yall don’t see it coming i do….more and more disses will start to fly until two groups are hurled into a confrontation that will end in bloodshed and jail time.

  367. Trouble Maker Says:

oh and i just thought about why i don’t like “bamma”. when i here that word i think of Alabama…and i am from Louisiana…..so maybe yall could come up with another derogatory statement that fits me a little better…..ok landlord….

  368. eskay Says:

    I hear you Troublemaker.

But check this out, Bol doesn’t speak for anybody in NY or even the East coast for that matter. But niggas read his column and automatically assume he’s a new yorker and thats hes speaking for all of us.

That assumption right there tells me that the South has an awful big chip on their shoulder with us. What is that about? because some new yorkers have dissed the South? So what? is ya’ll skin that thin? do ya’ll think one person speaks for a whole coast or city? of course not, which is why the only people I’m mad at right now are Field Mob and bitch ass Mr. Sarcastic for coming out his face and calling people all sorts of bitches like he would ever do that in my face.

This beef shit is wack, all I know is I want to hear good music regardless of where it’s from, but you shold know that I’m gonna rep my city ot the death no matter what happens.

BTW the shit about the south seceeding was posted by a non-regular poster who was just trying to instigate. once again don’t take one persons comments and apply it to everybody on the site.

I’ll even put Andy Milonakis up against them dudes and he’ll probably tear them a new southern fried arse!!!!!!!

  374. The Landlord Says:

    @troublemaker
…i respectfully disagree with you….this is a hip-hop site, and hip-hop is more than just music…any words or thoughts and ideas that could lead ANYONE to a better overstanding of self and the world around them are justified in ANY forum…and i respect your feelings about the term “Bamma”, but if the shoe fits….but troublemaker, since you spoke as a grown man , i will respect you as a grown man…
*deletes the word Bamma from personal vocabulary (for now)*

  375. Trouble Maker Says:

    >Bol doesn’t speak for anybody in NY or even the East coast for that matter.

I think if someone would have come out and said that right at the begining that post would not have turned into what it did. I believe what happened was when the post came out a couple of peole that were reppin’ the east cosigned on what he was saying…and then some cats from the south responded and the rest is history. And when people from the east would chime in with an objective view or just a little common sense they were shunned by the others and vise versa for the south.

    >right there tells me that the South has an awful big chip on their shoulder with us. What is that about? because some new yorkers have dissed the South? So what? is ya’ll skin that thin?

No, like i said before i feel like it is a spit in the face. Some people may that y’all did not ask for our support or need it, but the fact is is we gave it. And i think it is because we (generalizing) feel a little betrayed. some people just want to fight it has nothing to do with principle.

    >BTW the shit about the south seceeding was posted by a non-regular poster who was just trying to instigate.

ok, well….fuck that one guy then…..what he said has nothing to do with topic of music….and now that i think about it it is probably the single most assinine statemant in the post. He speaks as though the opinion of the slave(if there was one) was to leave the union and remain a slave. hip hop is an african american genre of music, so why would you make a statement to decendents of slave that our fore fathers would have chosen to stay slave rather than be free…..so @eskay i will make sure that i aim my assults better rather than just do the shot gun approach…..so here goes….

    >>Fuck the South. Fuck ‘em. We should have let them go when they wanted to leave. But no, we had to kill half a million people so they’d stay part of our special Union. Fighting for the right to keep slaves – yeah, those are states we want to keep.

That is the dumbest shit i have seen on this post yet…@iniquity

  376. Trouble Maker Says:

@landlord…i agree with what you say….but all this going back and forth about north south crap is not about the ignorance of one group over the ignorance of another….hip hop does influence our culture a great deal…but the topic would be more along the lines of” how the glorifacation of drugs, money, etc. is leading our youth down the wrong path” if that was the topic you would have my undivided attention. But the point i want to make is that every section of hip hop has artist that thrive on selling that kind of music, and every section has artist that actually say things that make you take a closer look at your surroundings.

and i think it is the manner in which you say things that causes the misconception….until you said the word “bamma” i had never heard it before…it was only after i saw the context in which you were using it that i realized it was meant to be a bad thing……so if you must call me a name….i perfer “you niggas” i understand that one a little better….lol

  377. jersey Says:

Yeah iniquity was expressing history how he see’s it…….The problem with that is nobody ask this Munfucka bout his insight!

  378. Trouble Maker Says:

I believe what happened was when the post came out a couple of peole that were reppin’ the east cosigned on what he was saying…and then some cats from the south responded and the rest is history.

^ you’re right about that, becuase I co-signed it at first without saying what i was cosigning. I was co-signing Bol’s take on the tendency of SOME southern fans to assume that when we dis one of their artists, we’re dissing the whle region. (even though I commented again saying Bol was wrong for dissing UGK, but alot of people didn’t care by then and were so riled up by what he wrote about Pimp C)

But can you elaborate on what you said about the slave thing, cuz I think you may be misunderstanding the shit he posted. It was defnitely a dis to the South, but he was being sarcastic.

To me this is real simply…If you dont like the music, dont play it! like i have stated before right now in a whole hiphop is hurting!!!period!!! it not one coast that hurting hiphop its the lack of creativity right now that hurting hiphop! no one comes with creativity anymore…its hoes, guns, dope, and clothes, and that every region…point blank…as a whole we need to step it up…I was watching direct effect this morning, and the new videos they are uninspiring…I really see why Andre 3000 stop rapping…this game has lost The pharcydes, The tribe called quests…Ice Cubes, Nas, Outkasts, the tupacs…I remember when hiphop use to have you feeling good about being black…”remember the african medallion”…thats what i love about hiphop the power we had with our words…we are losing that!period! and thats from coast to coast…

So it really gets to me…when the next man trys to down a region, from the songs you hear on the radio….and to hear “bammas” a word once used by slave owners, and northerns in the civil war…Are you serious!!! all of this comes from just us rapping, and getting reconition? it really makes me wonder is that what the east coast think of us(south) in general…just some “bammas”…like trouble stated, we respect what NY do, and what they have done… But down south just have a different swag with our music…different cities bring different styles…

but this hiphop thing is hurting on all coast, all regions…we all the only genre of music that witness rappers dying month to month over this bullshit…(R.I.P. proof)…and we still beef over this dumbshit! Why?

Excuse me dumbass but you’re the hipporciate, I said it was cool because it was. You sit behind your little safe computer and make yourself seem somewhat intelligent and talk shit. You expect people to feed off your fucked up mindstate and your jacked up ideas on hip hop. Do you have anything else better to do with your life. Fuckin Lowlife

No emotion, just fuck ‘em, cuz these dudes are so inconsequential in the rap game its not even funny.

Ya boy ghostface is inconsequential in the rap game, chasing after these big brother record excetcs. We telling these labels to kiss our independent asses. And believe me I couldn’t give a gotdam about NY hip hop and your glorious downfall.

Yeah right everybody knew they were dissing the south. Why waste your time on other niggas from a whole other region.

Stop acting as if New York is the only place for educated black people. Blacks up there hold no major political positions which are in the fists of immigrants right now.

Who cares about your opinion, you aint better than nobody else on this blog. My advice eskay KILL YOURSELF!

More self-loafing black people I see. From your odivious argument you stated that I should stick to the subject right. Well, how the fuck is calling someone a “bammer” in any way pretains to hip hop. But in any way yeah NY has the highest population but whuch region has the highest black population?

As I say about your latest savior Jay-z your whole style is overrated. Shit, 70% of your culture comes from immigrants. Notice how black folk in the south, midwest and west cant relate to your lame ass style.

Ironically, New York is said to be the best city in the world. Which is why im still stratching my head on the fact that you live in Atlanta. I have one savior and his name is not Jay Z! Outside of music, I could give a fuck about him. Then you make ignorant comments about immigrants. I’m a product of that! And?………. I am proud of that. If those areas can’t relate to our lame ass style; why the fuck did they start rapping in the first place? If what we do and create up North is so lame then stop doing it! Get used to what? Yo South rap iz cool i cant denie I be feelin some of it, although it did have to grow on me somewhat like anything else…but…I think its unfair to compare baby south’s rap to its forefather because in all truth its completely a difference in content!…Yeah Yeah Yall Have that shit bumpin and vibing but check out the lyrical content as well as tracks…not to say its a bad think cuz we need versitility in all things different strokes for different folks…..Baby south, listen your forefather (who your daddy)lol….your forefather did alot of cultural lyrics..(rakim,BDP,Gangstarr..ect..ect)……..check baby south…check it..

  424. jersey Says:

    Not a realistic comparison…not tat all….

  425. Trouble Maker Says:

now i wouldn’t go that far with this…..

scarface, geto boys, goodie mobb, outkast, all spoke of injustice.

lil wayne, T.I., ludacris, feild mobb, soulja slim, B.G., juvenile spoke on it as well. now they don’t deicate every song to it but it is a common topic down here chamillionaire just made a song about the police….

and actually tracks down here are more similar to Dr. Dre’s p funk tracks…something you can vibe to…so i think we got yall on tracks….
(leave D4L and DFB out of this…we are talking about real music)

cool breeze, young bloodz, yung won, pastor troy, lil flip, swisha house, eight ball, mjg and the rest of suave house…all the way down to the local cats y’all wouldn’t know speak on social injustice….and social unrest….now one of two things happen when little brother is tired of big brothers crap…..1. big brothers takes a step back and gives little brother the respect he is asking for(even if he does things differently) or (and i hope this one does not happen) they fight…and continue to fight until they come to terms…..

  426. jersey Says:

So u r tellin me that Scarface and Juv are in the same class as Rakim and say Boogie Down Production???????…ridiculous……to me that absurd!

  427. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

    Jersey:

Scarface won best lyricists at the source awards in 2001, so yes I would say he is. Plus, when pac was alive he always used to say scarface was his favorite rapper.

You might think not but us in the south do.

  428. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

8ball and MJG, Scarface and Outkast are just as good as Rakim. He is YOUR revolutionary superior MC in the south we have our own!

scarface and juv…no…but a scarface and goodie mobb or scarface and outkast…yes!!!

rakim is looked upon as “the god mc”…if im not mistaken, but in the south scarface is looked up in the same matter as “the true king of the south”…

  430. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

New York is the capitol of YOUR hip hop, in the south we seem to think different.

I mean NY is tight, I heard the Prophase mixtape. But on the real, on a commercial level you suck.

  431. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

Scarface is the Godfarther and The King of the south, so we don’t look over scarface for no NY mc’s, we have our own God Mc.

  432. jersey Says:

missing the point…I never said scarface wasnt lyrically talented I just ask whether you thought they were on the same level…now you are entled to your opinion…frankly I have listen to scarface s old shit as it was nice…and the ghetto boys who as a matter of fact had members I know that are from jersey who i went to school with, so im not misinformed by no means….If anybody cares to answer my question than feel free….

  433. cyde hustla Says:

    @ jersey:

yes i do believed that rakim and scarface are on the same level…i listen to rakim and i do agree (new york wise) is has father alot of mcs…but in the south scarface is recognize as ” the true king” the godfather of the south…he has pioneer the new movement (houston, texas) before anyone else caught on…

so yes they are on the same level…without a doubt…

  434. eskay Says:

^ i hear wht your saying but come on Rakim is way more influential.

  435. jersey Says:

I agree to disagree……ok…ok…..make me a believer(seriously doubt) but precisly where exactly do you see this comparison??????……Im curious cuz I definitley done see..(fixes his gazells and kango)…..come on my brother tell me……

^ i hear wht your saying but come on Rakim is way more influential.

    to whom?

  440. eskay Says:

to hip hop as a whole. I can guarantee you that if you ask Scarface he’ll list Rakim as influence

  441. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

I agree but, NY Mc’s such as rakim, nas, krs-one read dictonaries to be named most lyrical/methaporical. Anyone could do that they just did it before anyone else did. But I do agree Rakim is very influencial. Andre 3000 even said that rakim influenced him to rap.

But I think that scarface is just as talented, but I guess he wasn’t for MTV though.

  442. eskay Says:

    >>I agree but, NY Mc’s such as rakim, nas, krs-one read dictonaries to be named most lyrical/methaporical. Anyone could do that

so now you’re trying to brush off the legacies of KRS and Rakim (I won’t even count Nas, but him too). they read dictionaries? what is that supposed to mean? it would just fucking kill you to give some credit where it’s due huh?

    >>Andre 3000 even said that rakim influenced him to rap.

^ oh well if fucking Andre 3000 said it, then Rakim must be good. get a grip. the way ya’ll niggas ride Andre is pathetic. He’s a great rapper, but get off his dick.

  443. cyde hustla Says:

^ i hear wht your saying but come on Rakim is way more influential.

    @eskay

    come on dog!

he may be more influential as far as east coast rapper, but travel down south, and not to many rappers will agree with you…scarface has influence some of new york rappers: dmx, jay-z…cats like beanie sigel… not to mention tupac as been recorded of saying scarface influence him to rap…
scarface hands down is more inflential…outside of new york…

  444. cyde hustla Says:

    come on eskay

    >>Andre 3000 even said that rakim influenced him to rap.

^ oh well if fucking Andre 3000 said it, then Rakim must be good. get a grip. the way ya’ll niggas ride Andre is pathetic. He’s a great rapper, but get off his dick.

come dog , now you being hypocritical…you was just dick riding rakim, and the next man mention Andre 3000, and they dick ridin’… come on man…

Real talk I put money that Andre 3000, ripping anyone…any coast , any region believe that…

  445. eskay Says:

once again, ask Scarface and see what he says. If Rakim’s name is comes up, then you can not logically conclude that Scarface is more influential than Ra.

And anyway, get a grip. do you know who Rakim is? do you niggas really have any idea what he contributed to hip hop? ya’ll like to say shit like ‘oh well ut wasn’t like that in the South. Now all of the sudden the South is some seperate country with a completely different cultural history right? I mean of course there are differences but are you gonna sit there and say niggas down south didn’t know about Rakim back in the day? Eric B is President anyone? If not, then how old are you dudes because I’ve heard an awful lot of older southern dudes prop Rakim.

-I gave credit and I agreed had your dumbass read the comment. It is a FACT that they did read dictonaries, I didnt take any of their creditability away.

    >>Andre 3000 even said that rakim influenced him to rap.

^ oh well if fucking Andre 3000 said it, then Rakim must be good. get a grip. the way ya’ll niggas ride Andre is pathetic. He’s a great rapper, but get off his dick.

-The same way you ride Jay-z is pathetic. He just brainwashed yall after Biggie died. Believe me if Biggie was alive Jay-z would be underground. Seems thats the problem with most NY mc’s always signing slave ass contracts oh wait, but were the “bammers” huh. Soon yall are going to find out where Jay-z gets those rhymes from.

Oh, and if we dickride Dre 3000, we sure as hell dont be walking around mentioning dungeon family. You niggas throw up diamonds 24/7, so whos dickriding who?

  447. eskay Says:

    >>you was just dick riding rakim, and the next man mention Andre 3000, and they dick ridin’… come on man…

you can’t dickride Rakim because he’s a legend. all you can do is pay him his proper respect and thats all I was doing. but dude was dick riding Andre. look at what he said, he tried to insinuate that Rakim needs a fucking co-sign from a dude who was in geade school when he was revolutionizing hip hop. And ya’ll do that shit all the time, say you don’t. ya’ll act like Dre’s the best lyricist on the planet or some shit. he’ll rip anybody, any coast? I highly doubt that and I love Andre.

  448. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

For instance, when I watched the Lyricist Lounge production of The Dirty States of America, one old school Southern MC spoke of the difficulty understanding some East Coast slang and everyday happenings that came across in NY Hip-Hop, simply for the fact that he didn’t live there. Specifically, he mentioned a Rakim song where Rakim spit a rhyme which included the term “third-rail.” Subways are not a big factor Down South, so Southern cats, especially those that don’t live in the cities, will not pick up on that term.

  449. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

See, the city of New York is the media capital of the world. Rather you’re watching NBA Fastbreak, NBC Nightly News, TRL, Nightline, etc., you’re going to see New York. Many movies and television shows rely on the backdrop of New York to give them more of a metropolitan feel (i.e. Sex and the City).

So MC’s from NY never had to spend too much time in videos pointing out trivial shit because we all know what NY looks like moreso than parts of our own cities it seems sometimes. But when people in Hip-Hop from other regions get a chance to make a video, please believe they’re going to try their hardest to “culturally awake” you to their everyday life.

  450. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

As black people, we will always have the same social problems nationally, so it’s not like NY Hip-Hop was so far out there that Southern cats couldn’t grasp the important concepts. But, subtle differences made NY Hip-Hop seem foreign at times to black outsiders.

  451. eskay Says:

    >>-I gave credit and I agreed had your dumbass read the comment. It is a FACT that they did read dictonaries, I didnt take any of their creditability away.

^ whatever dog, you know what you said, it’s right there in black and white. and some of those garbage niggas ya’ll got down there could use a dictionary.

    >>The same way you ride Jay-z is pathetic.

Yo are you obsessed wit Jay-Z or something? you stay bringing that man up. Yo no lie that if Biggie was alive argument is the tiredest shit ever. even niggas up here stay saying that and it’s utter bullshit. he’d be underground? get real dog, Jay was already famous when Big died.

    >>Seems thats the problem with most NY mc’s always signing slave ass contracts oh wait, but were the “bammers” huh.

honestly I could give a fuck what contract a rapper signs, he’s a grown man and I’m not his accountant. but since you brought it up, are you trying to say that not one Southern artist is signed to a major? everybody down there is independent right? fuck outta here.

    >> You niggas throw up diamonds 24/7, so whos dickriding who?

^ I can’t believe you just said that yo, you a funny dude and you just proved your bamma-ness. what do you think niggas up here walk around throwing up the diamond and screaming “it’s the Roc!” you’re watching way to many videos family you should get out more, for real…lmfao!!

  452. eskay Says:

    >>Specifically, he mentioned a Rakim song where Rakim spit a rhyme which included the term “third-rail.” Subways are not a big factor Down South, so Southern cats, especially those that don’t live in the cities, will not pick up on that term.

^^ so by that logic, nobody outside of NY should be able to relate to Rakim correct? when I first heard Outkast I didn’t know alot of the shit they were talking about, but I knew they were dope. dopeness transcends small cultural differences. But I do understand where you’re coming from. the same way I wouldn’t fully connect with what Kast or UGK was saying, I cold see how the same could be true for ya’ll and our artists.

  453. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

    >>-I gave credit and I agreed had your dumbass read the comment. It is a FACT that they did read dictonaries, I didnt take any of their creditability away.

-Same goes for some of your wack ass artists.

^ I can’t believe you just said that yo, you a funny dude and you just proved your bamma-ness. what do you think niggas up here walk around throwing up the diamond and screaming “it’s the Roc!” you’re watching way to many videos family you should get out more, for real…lmfao!!

lol @ you having any idea what my life is like or what I do. this website is a hobby. I’d say that you making assumptions about me and convincing yourself you’re somehow better than me is more ignorant than anything I said, and I’m being intentionally ignorant with you. do you notice that me and cyde hustla can have a civilized argument, but with you it’s like kindergarten. whenever you’re presented with something you can’t intelligently respond to, you resort to name calling. you sir, are a bamma.

  457. Mr. Sarcastic Says:

  458. eskay Says:

If Nas tap dances on a track is he the G.OA.T.?

Him and KRS. Andre 3000 is dope, but he is in no way on Rakim’s level.

-First off thats wasnt a fact, because it was argumentive. You state opinions as facts, lead me to beleive this if you really think Rakim is the “God MC”

-Secondly, you make me sick. Always comming at me with the same moronic shit, on which mc should I think be better. -Lastly, I didn’t compare the 9/11 attacks to Snoop Doggs NY YN video that would be straight dumb. A nigga from brooklyn might be from the Gheto Boys and a lot of NY rappers that you pronuce so all consious and reviloutionary have roots in the south, many were born in the south.

    >>and thats all we doing…paying him his proper respect as one of the game best, most creative…and one of the game top selling artist… but i guess in your eyes thats too much credit… i guess if jay-z would have done it, it would have been classic…but he didnt do it, and honestly i dont think he that creative musically…

^ no that’s not all you’re doing, you were trying to say Face was as influential as Ra and that nobody can see Andre lyrically both of which are absurd statements. there’s jay-z’s name again. he didn’t do what? sing a whole album? i fucking hope not. Dre may be more creative musically, but Jay is the better M.C.

Yes, gas did start to skyrocket. That was the beginning. The natural disasters only gave an excuse. Read about the money Bush and his associates are making!

Oh yeah, please show me just ONE line where I spoke negatively about the South! Just One! You won’t be able to do it. As a matter of fact I will give you through Sunday to show me. After you can’t find it then I want you to apologize.

^^no seriously dog, I don’t care. is that so hard to believe? you act like NY never sold any records or something. man, we’ve been selling and have sold historically way more than ya’ll niggas, but guess what? it never mattered to me and never will.

for example, 50 cent is the top selling rapper in the world right now, but guess what? I fucking hate that nigga. And that same logic applies to your other comment about more fans. see thats what im talking about! you come out hollin’ historically NY sold way more , when im talking about outkast against wu-tang…then you bring up “whole NY together”…are u serious? and to honest 50 cent is not the top selling rapper…eminem is…

and to honest…im not truly convince at all that NY has sold more records than the south…my nigga they have alot of artist from the south…thats been out for years and years…i think you may want to research that before you blurt that dumb shit out…but you dont have to take my word for it…

bias has nothing to do with it. be rational, how are you gonna say Outkast is more influential? to who? Wu changed the whole sound of hip hop in the early 90’s.

    >>you are correct it is a double album…but it also cost more than get rich or die tryin’…but check the facts…prove me wrong

what does the cost of the album matter? the point is each sale of speakerboxx/the love below counted as two sales

    >>come on big dog…think about that shit before you type it…eminem got that fam…be forreal…the nigga greatest hits sold 3 million copies…and remember fifty is under shady…

well if Em sold 3 million, and 50 sold 4.5 or whatever he sold, how does Em have that? it’s simple math dog, go check Soundscan if you don’t believe me. and so what if 50 is under Shady, that’s irrelevant to what we’re talking about…

    >>what does the cost of the album matter? the point is each sale of speakerboxx/the love below counted as two sales

my nigga that not neccessary true at all…thats like selling b.i.g… life after death didnt sale 10 million or 2 pac…all eyes on me…so before you just say that bring facts to support that…my nigga forreal….

    >>well if Em sold 3 million, and 50 sold 4.5 or whatever he sold, how does Em have that? it’s simple math dog, go check Soundscan if you don’t believe me. and so what if 50 is under Shady, that’s irrelevant to what we’re talking about…

are you fucking serious? so I prove you wrong by giving you numbers and come back with “eminem got a cut from 50’s album”? dog, who gives a fuck about what Em got? the point is 50 sold more albums. there you go again worrying about another niggas pockets.

    >>but look up the top grossing artist of 2005…and em name is before fifty…oh and its also in forbes…

and there you go again. I assume you mean Em earned more money in 2005? ok, who gives a fuck, we’re talking about albums sold. you’re the one who brought up albums sold and now you wanna change it to who made more money?

All I know is the guy who sold the most records in 2005 was from NY. That’s a fact. don’t come at me about who made more money because it’s irrelevant to the argument.

I dont understand it, cause they didnt changed hiphop for everybody, at all…rakim change hiphop…kool moe dee change hiphop…tupace change hiphop…nwa change hiphop…even bone change hiphop…but not wutang…at all my nigga!!!

    >>and there you go again. I assume you mean Em earned more money in 2005? ok, who gives a fuck, we’re talking about albums sold. you’re the one who brought up albums sold and now you wanna change it to who made more money?

no you change it up the discussion was the top selling artist… remember? oh here’s your quote to prove it..
“I don’t mean all time, I mean the current highest selling artist and that’s 50 but whatever I hate 50 and I hate talking about sales…”

now is what way did you mean top selling artist…albums yeah fifty sold that…but if you meant top selling artist of the year…again your wrong em got that…

    >>All I know is the guy who sold the most records in 2005 was from NY. That’s a fact. don’t come at me about who made more money because it’s irrelevant to the argument.

and again this wasn’t the argument the argument was who is more influentical, wu-tang or outkast period…and i was giving facts about why would outkast would be more influentical…(*takes a deep breathe*) so dont come with that this argument is irrelevant because you started it…
but again you couldnt take the fact outkast was, so you threw in the top selling artist was from NY…(*takes a deep breathe*) remember…

so why dont you stick to the argument my nigga…

  543. E From BK Says:

    You are a Saint Eskay!

  544. eskay Says:

Cyde Hustla, I see what you’re trying to do…you’re trying to confuse me and hope that I give up, but you ain’t that nice and I’m too focused so you’re gonna need another tactic homey.

    >>no you change it up the discussion was the top selling artist… remember? oh here’s your quote to prove it..

^^you can’t be serious. the quote YOU posted from me includes the following: “we’re talking about albums sold”

    >>now is what way did you mean top selling artist…albums yeah fifty sold that…but if you meant top selling artist of the year…again your wrong em got that…

^how do you figure? If 50 sold 4 something and Em sold 2 something, how does Em got that? Please explain that to me.

    >>and again this wasn’t the argument the argument was who is more influentical, wu-tang or outkast period

oh so now that’s the argument? you switched up like 3 times in one comment my dude. whatever man, you suck at life.

  545. cyde hustla Says:

    @ eskay:

my nigga if you go back to the start of the commits when i was address you co-d E from BK, it was about who is more influentical outkast or wu-tang…period that shit you yelling is b.s.!!! forreal! you clowing yourself rightnow, my nigga!

    >>^^you can’t be serious. the quote YOU posted from me includes the following: “we’re talking about albums sold”

no…my nigga i was giving facts on how outkast is more influentical…such as…more albums sold…more fans… more awards…again check the post you killing yourself…

    >>now is what way did you mean top selling artist…albums yeah fifty sold that…but if you meant top selling artist of the year…again your wrong em got that…

if you are talking total gross artist… then em got that period!!! check forbes, but if you were talking albums fifty sold more copies of his albums… that what i stated dont mix my words up, and run it on some slick shit…

again look at the post when i was talking to E and your see the argument about outkast and wu…dont try to play it like i change the argument, my nigga you change it…step your game up, and stop playing yourself…cause you killing yourself right now , my nigga…i know you from NY but again yall niggas cant fuck with this south shit, right now… stop the bullshit, and live off what NY did…in the past…after this i not responding back to yall, just get mad when you see another south artist blow up , and another NY artist suck…holla at yall niggaz…

  546. Trouble Maker Says:

    @E

nothing to say to me huh? rather just cosign?

    @eskay

and to set the record straight…influence( def.)

    in·flu·ence [ ín floo ənss ]

    noun (plural in·flu·enc·es)

    Definitions:

    1. effect on something: the effect of something on a person, thing, or event
Picasso’s influence on the course of 20th-century art

    2. power to sway: the power that somebody has to affect other people’s thinking or actions by means of argument, example, or force of personality
She came under the influence of one of her teachers.

so if your saying who is more influential then Outkast is! if you are asking who came first then that would be wu-tang

wu-tang is broken up…the only cat that is still on is method man…..and Ghost face is trying to come back….but besides that…????

On the other hand Outkasts’ influence can plainly be seen in the state of GA. and other places in the south.

so if we are going by definition…..outkast is the winner……but if you go by some kind of “NY magic application of a rule” then we need not continue this convo!

  547. eskay Says:

    @ cyde hustla

nigga thats what I thought, you leaving cuz you know your argument game isn’t up to par. talking about influence and gross sales and what not. step your game up. I just made you look foolish talking about Em sold more than 50 last year, and you know I’m right so you don’t want it no more. thats cool. if yall niggas think ‘Kast is more influential than Wu then you must be little kids, period.

Wu-Tang is not broken up, they just did a concert here in NY, Ghost just dropped and album and now Rae is dropping an album. Fuck niggas if they don’t want to hear it, that’s probably because they were watching cartoons when Wu was changing the face of rap music. so what if Ghost goes wood, he still had a better album than T.I. and if you don’t agree thats just your lame ill-informed opinion and we’ll leave it at that.

  548. E From BK Says:

Yo Eskay, I can tell that you really have alot of love for these cats. From where I am looking you have dropped jewel after jewel and they continue to ATTEMPT to discount EVERYTHING you say. If it were raining cats and dogs and you reported that fact then these little dudes would say that it was snowing. It’s good though, we need more people like you with that kind of patience. Continue to show your love.

  549. uneckbone Says:

i definitly didn’t read all of this. but enjoyed the miseducation of cyde hustla.

  550. DeeOneDah Says:

I’m from MIA but I got madd love for the east…..I’m mean damn…how could you not respect NY for the foundation they have set for Hip Hop?…I fucks wit the south too (no homo) but on a real hip hop tip, half the south’s shit sounds the same. (My white tee???) what the fuck?…that shit getz tha gun clapp…..corney ass shit! What happened to REAL HIP HOP?

  551. Trouble Maker Says:

    @DeeOneDah

    >>how could you not respect NY for the foundation they have set for Hip Hop?

If you skim through all the post you will see that me and my people do give props to NY for jumping it all off…..we were just going back and forth with these cats because, in there minds NY is and will forever be the “best” …. and we are merely pointing out that right now at this point in time they are not(not to say they can’t get it back) but right now they don’t have it. and the only people still talking were cyde, eskay, e from bk, and myself. I think E got frustrated with me and quit. and i guess cyde did the same. And i think eskay and i already reached our agreement. And even if we did not we can not have the same disscusion as him and cyde because i use facts and he is going off of opinion.

@eskay….believe it or not i grew up on Wu-Tang….”Tiger Style” is my favorite song from them. But some where along the way they fell out of the national lime light. OutKast has effected the hip-hop game tremendiously….period. But unlike you i do not need to personally attack you, sling insults, or attempt to down play your opinion.

    >> if you don’t agree thats just your lame ill-informed opinion and we’ll leave it at that.

it is simply your opinion…but if you want to look at facts we can!

    @E

Eskay has already given props to the south…….can you swallow your pride and do the same?

  552. E From BK Says:

Yo Eskay. What’s wrong with little dude?

  553. eskay Says:

^ lol I don’t know. Trouble I wasn’t slinging insults, it’s just your boy cyde is in such denial I that I get frustrated. I mean look I’ll admit Wu ain’t what it used to be, but no matter what you can’t deny their legacy in hip hop.

  554. Trouble Maker Says:

No i can’t deny their legacy!!! Wu-tang is a name that will always be remembered….that is a fact! But Outkast is a name that will always be remembered, also! The south is never going to discredit NY for what they have done, are doing, and will do in the future…..we just want the same respect…..and if we don’t get it…..Fuck it we still gone make it!!!

  555. cyde hustla Says:

    @ eskay

say my nigga you can neva discredit how i feel cause thats my opinion…periold!!! you and E from BK on some fuck shit! i understand yall repin’ your hood, but dem niggas is garbage now!!! be real with yourself, whats the last hot shit wu did?

    @uneckbone

come up my nigga you sound like a East Coast dickrider!!! stay in your place…

now I repect how they may have influence alot of NY cats…but in the south, them cats haven’t open one door…period!!! I got love from some members of wu, and what they did as a group in the early & late 90’s… but if i dont feel a nigga, i dont feel him…period!!!
eskay…you was on that the record sales shit and your co-d E just co-signing on your deal…again i good with yall niggas…
state your weak opinions…you got a right to do so…

  556. E From BK Says:

    Wow!

  557. eskay Says:

    >>be real with yourself, whats the last hot shit wu did?

    Fishscale

    >>but in the south, them cats haven’t open one door…period!!!

watch your mouth boy when talking about legends. thats the problem with you little fucks, no respect and no morals.

  558. E From BK Says:

Eskay, I believe that is the true problem. I believe we have touched on it before. It definitely has nothing to do with anyone “hating” on the South. A while ago, I invited these cats to point out just one remark of mine where I had a negative comment about the South. Not one of them were able to do so. As a matter of fact, if one were to go through at least three of these posts they would see that we have much love for “quality” Southern artists. Shit, I got love for “quality artists from any place on the planet, but since the discussion has been about the South that is why I singled out that region. We have even listed the artists that we like. I agree though that the problem is some of the younger people that post on this site. There is no respect any more.

  559. DeeOneDah Says:

    >>Thia is just a statement> The south has alot to do with the current & pathetic state that hip hop is in right now. I’m not saying that the east has nothing to do with it either..but since this is the south’s turn on top..then congratulations!! You are on top of the WACKEST era in hop history.
I respect the south..but when they run their mouth about how they have all the hot shit out right now…I just laugh..I don’t even listen to the radio any more cause it sucks so fuckin much. It’s like we are letting all the hoes dictate what is hot right now. Don’t get me wrong..I’ll fuckin dog a hoe at a club to a typical dirty south wack song..but you can’t catch me bumpin that bull shit any other time.

    >>This is for the mother fucker who does not know shit about wu-tang…talking about that they havn’t done shit lately….that’s how I know you a fuckin fool and have absoultely no knowlege of HIP HOP. Just because you don’t hear it where you reside or your pathetic local radio staion doesn’t fucking mean they haven’t been dropping jewel after jewel lately! Outkast is dope..and I respect your OPINION..but don’t down play the LEGENDARY WU-Tang Clan.
    MIA – NYC Stand up!

  560. Trouble Maker Says:

    >>A while ago, I invited these cats to point out just one remark of mine where I had a negative comment about the South.

-my good man you do not need to hurl an insult to insult someone.

    >>the problem with Mr. Bammatastic is he can’t admit or is too dense to realize that he is biased towards the South. at least I know I’m biased and accept it.

    >> Andre 3000 is dope, but he is in no way on Rakim’s level.

    >>you can’t dickride Rakim because he’s a legend. all you can do is pay him his proper respect and thats all I was doing. but dude was dick riding Andre. look at what he said, he tried to insinuate that Rakim needs a fucking co-sign from a dude who was in geade school when he was revolutionizing hip hop. And ya’ll do that shit all the time, say you don’t. ya’ll act like Dre’s the best lyricist on the planet or some shit. he’ll rip anybody, any coast? I highly doubt that and I love Andre.

    >>Let’s both try it and see who is more successful. I’m in the “A” and I already know how they move. I want to hear about you up in Stapleton.

    >>Yo Eskay, sorry for the rant, but these cats need to be put in their place. I’ve been nice thus far, I’m now going to bring the pain.

    >>You belive that? I guess you do because you said it. Homiw, do the knowledge. You need to get up on your current events. You need to listen to Immortal Technique’s Osama song. Homie, those buildings being torn apart is the reason why we are paying these prices. We are getting Halliburton and your President more and more rich! I feel sorry for you cats. It hurts me that my brothers don’t know alot about the shit that is REALLY going on. Please my brother delve deeper. Know-The-Ledge!

    >>There is no respect any more.

Well let me say that respect is given when respect is earned.

you don’t have to call me a name to insult me. Your blatent disreguard for southern accomplishments and your unwillingness to put us on the same level as NY shows me what you really feel….and thats cool….but if you are wondering why i may seem like i am countering everything you say.

    >>Anything not to agree with me.

thats why….. Deep down you feel like NY is the Best, and that is your opinion…..but deep down i feel like your views are biased….and as long as i feel that way i will speak on it….

So, once again…..Eskay gave props to the South, can you swallow your pride and do the same???

  561. cyde hustla Says:

@ eskay , E From Bk and DeeOneDah:

    Fishscale

nuff said! you should just shoot yourself…

    >>watch your mouth boy when talking about legends. thats the problem with you little fucks, no respect and no morals.
I stated ” I respect what wu did” but i dont feel them niggas at all! period!!! like yall dont feel niggas from my region…I dont feel all the niggas from wu…i fucks with meth, and I fucks with ol’ dirty(r.i.p.), but the rest of them nigga is overrated…and garbage…

watch your mouth boy when talking about legends. thats the problem with you little fucks, no respect and no morals.

watch your mouth boy when talking about legends. thats the problem with you little fucks, no respect and no morals.

    @DeeOneDah

my nigga you say I dont know nothing about the wu? my nigga you dont know what the fuck i know…shut the fuck up with pussy shit…pull your skirt up!!! my nigga i have listen to wu since “protect your neck”…got meth solo venture got dirty’s solo venture , but the rest of them niggas i dont feel!
my nigga you sound like a hoe right now…(*say trouble where this pussy come from anyway*)…
my nigga if you gon’ co-sign with others nigga at least dick ride right…pussy!

  562. eskay Says:

but yo Touble, all I want to know is, aren’t you biased towards the South? Cuz you keep saying that I’m biased, but I’ve admitted that I’m biased and I know you heard me cuz you quoted me above. So just say “I’m biased towards the South” and we’ll agree to disagree.

  563. Trouble Maker Says:

    @eskay

Are you and E sharing computers?

  564. Trouble Maker Says:

    I’m not biased at all….
To be completely honest not too many things matter to me…..peoples opinions being one of them.

I respect all the regions….i give props where props are due…but one thing that really gets under my skin is inequality.

not just in music but in everything….. so all i want to do is point it out and try and deal with it.

Plus i find it interesting to see how other people’s minds work…so me going back and forth with people just sparks my interest even more, not only that but i like finding flaws and loop holes in peoples arguments as well….

so in conclusion, no i’m not biased…but we can still agree to disagree…..either way no hard feelings……

  565. E From BK Says:

    >>Plus i find it interesting to see how other people’s minds work…so me going back and forth with people just sparks my interest even more, not only that but i like finding flaws and loop holes in peoples arguments as well….

—Come on dog. Your whole argument is full of flaws and loopholes. You want to point out things that make you THINK I have disrespected the South, but refuse to admit that I have mentioned Southern artists that I love. Can you for once admit that? If you can’t admit that then there is no need for any conversation because you only take bits and pieces of what I have said. It’s sort of like what the media does. They will arrange partial statements to support their argument when in all actuality the other words that go with it clarify the other person’s position. No, I do not think Andre 3000 can fuck with Rakim. Never! Notice how I said Andre 3000 and not the South. “I’m in the A and I know how they move.” Well, I do. Homie, I’m in the hood every day and I am privy to know alot of people. When you go to a town that you are not from it would be wise of you to learn how people move. “I want to see you up in Stapleton.” Somebody made some bullshit remark about how someone should come to the South and make a statement about a particular artist or some bullshit like that. I said that to say that I know for a fact that in Stapleton they take any disrespect towards the Wu a little more seriously than other places. Shit, you can go to Brooklyn and pop shit about Jay-Z all day and there won’t be a problem. I was stating the frame of mind of certain people in certain areas. Again, you could not prove where I hurled an insult towards anyone. If you are going to pull out a two lines you should actually post the entire post! Why didn’t you pull the remarks about my love for certain Southern artists? I’ll tell you why, because then you would have no argument. I’ve definitely given more love to the South than you have given to the North. Step your game up homie. If you want equality then be equal! Show the truth not just something to support your argument because really there is no basis!

ONE LAST TIME: I LIKE OUTKAST, BUN B, SCARFACE, HAZIQ, 4IZE, STIC.MAN, T.I., SOULJA SLIM, BG, DAVID BANNER, LUKE, 2 LIVE CREW, GHETTO BOYS AND OTHER ARTISTS LIKE THESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DON’T FUCK WITH D4L, DFB OR LIL FLIP AND PEOPLE LIKE THAT. I DON’T FUCK WITH LUDA BECAUSE I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT LUDA LYRICALLY IS WAAAAAYYYY BETTER THAN ANY OF THOSE ALBUMS HE PUT OUT. HE IS JUST PUTTING TOGETHER SONGS NOW TO MAKE MONEY, BUT IT IS A FACT THAT HE CAN ROCK THE MIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, do you finally get the picture? It’s a shame that I have said this 3,4 or 5 times already but none of you want to hear that part. All you are concerned with is that I said ANDRE 3000 IN NO WAY WHATSOEVER CAN FUCK WITH RAKIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said that shit and that is fact as far as I’m concerned but you will NEVER be able to get me to say that the South is wack!

  566. Trouble Maker Says:

    @E

    no need to get upset…

like i said before, you don’t have to call me a name to insult me. A good analogy would be a white man who does not like blacks, but cheers at a football game where 10 out of the 11 players on the team are black. It sounds crazy i know. You asked me to point out where you were putting the south down and i did just that. You did not ask me to point out how you “said you love the south”. You living in the south is erealivent, just like you asking me to go to Stapleton, i would not have a problem there because it does not concern me weither Wu-Tang is great or not. I take things for what they are, i will not let pride get in my way. If a man climbs a mountain i will give him props for climbing that mountain, i will never take away from his achievment by comparing his mountain to someone elses mountain. look at it this way….your thinking reminds me of the thought process that missionaries had when they were sent to bring the word of God to the savages. Yes you may be down here with us, but you know you are seperate from us. So now lets look at it from a musical stand point. I feel like you believe you are from the best musical coast. So even though you live amongst us you feel as thought you still come from where it was best, and that puts you on a different level than us. So my position is that you are not from where music is best( best is a relative statement) you are from where hip hop was born( that statement is fact). Since the birth of hip hop many people have climbed the mountain to the top, from many different places. i will never discredit those who climbed the mountain first, but you should not discredit those who climbed the mountain after them. The word “First” is a word that can be proven fact. The words “Most”, “More”, or “Best” are relative words that you would have a very hard time proving to be fact. So this is where we find ourselves, the East did it first…the South is doing it now…..It does not matter who they are, what they said, or how they looked…if they climbed the mountain then they should have your congrats….not your discredits. Those who have made it are in an elite group, and until you or i make it in that group we have no room to criticize them.

just think how long all of us could eat, if we just got along.
But we are all men (and women for that matter) and none of us like to feel put down, or disrespected.

“Respect is given when respect is earned”

and most of us will not work with people we don’t respect.

Do you have a valid reason not to respect us? if your answer is yes then i say we have a valid reason not to respect you!

Cheering for a few of us, is not cheering for us!

You don’t have to love it…..or like it for that matter……just respect it!

If you can do that…..we cool!

  567. E From BK Says:

First off, you are making assumptions about me that you have no idea about. No matter what you say, I at no point in time made a disparaging remark about the South. I JUST gave you examples of who I like. Your previous post is why I say you just don’t want to agree with me. I pointed out people from the South that I like. You STILL HAVE NOT pointed out any dislike for the South. Well, maybe you have, maybe you think me not liking D4L, DFB, Lil Flip or Luda is a direct dislike for the South. If that is your reasoning then so be it. We will agree to disagree, but I know in my heart that I don’t dislike the South. I am 1 generation myself from being born in either Honduras, Barbados, Alabama or South Carolina! I have lived in many places. I am not pigeon held to a specific geographic area. I consider myself well traveled.

    >>your thinking reminds me of the thought process that missionaries had when they were sent to bring the word of God to the savages. Yes you may be down here with us, but you know you are seperate from us.

–Are you kidding me? How am I seperate? I’m still Black/Latino, I still have to go to work everyday, I’m still harrassed by these Georgia police like everybody else, they still look at me crazy if I go and try to get a business loan, White women still get off the elevator when I get on, I still have to deal with the everday struggles of being a minority in Amerikkka. Where the hell am I seperate. Again, point out specifically where I “dissed” the South. My argument about this whole music thing really comes from an age perspective. There are a plethora of East Coast artists that I dislike, hell, most of Hip Hop from everywhere I dislike. I don’t like 50, all of Dipset and Fab(Fab for the same reason I don’t like Luda). Does this now mean I don’t like East Coast music? You once again have veered off the beaten path. The whole Stapleton comment was based off of a specific comment about something totally different from what you are now talking about. This is where the problem lies. Younger people tend to not stay focused on specifics. The discussion takes on 8 different turns concerning one specific thought. That comes from people wanting to make their point valid and thus they tend to veer off topic. Go back and look at the genesis of the Stapleton comment and maybe you can understand more fully.

Lastly, most of my problem with Hip Hop is with bullshit music. If were up to me I would take it to back in the day where you actually had to have some sort of emceeing skill. Now everbody can make a record and I think it takes away from the quality. I believe it was better when there was a bigger gap between top notch artists and the general public. That shit that D4L does is so fuckin’ simple that it would be difficult for me to even be that bad and I don’t even emcee. That’s my argument. When did that type of shit become good music?

  568. E From BK Says:

    ^^^^^^^^^

Oh yeah, I DON’T RESPECT ANY OF THAT D4L SHIT JUST LIKE I DON’T RESPECT ANY OF THAT DIPSET SHIT. Now, what region am I dissin’?

  569. Trouble Maker Says:

    >>I’m still Black/Latino

Well actually in my statement i said to look at as an analogy. I never questioned your ethninticty.

like i said cheering for some of us is not cheering for us….

i don’t care for dipset’s music, but they still made it…so you will never hear me knock them.

    >>There are a plethora of East Coast artists that I dislike, hell, most of Hip Hop from everywhere I dislike.

if you would come out and said that in the begining i don’t think it would have gone this far…. what i saw you post was about D4L and DFB, which actually upsets me because those groups are the common ammo for any one commenting on the south. Which (unless you make very clear in the rest of your post) is an unspoken discredit to everyone else. that would be like me saying “you NY cats are terrible because dipset sucks” which i would never say because 1. i try not to voice too many opinions and 2. i would be discrediting a lot of great artists by lumping them in with dipset( no disrespect to all you dipset fans…lol).

    >>I know in my heart that I don’t dislike the South.

man, if you feel that way in your heart who am i to tell you your wrong…..

so with that being said….we don’t need to agree to disagree, because i agree with just about everything you said about the quality of music.

The only thing i really had a problem with is the assumption that the South is the reason…that is not a fair judgement because 1. as we both agree there are terrible rap acts all over, and 2. why is everyone jumping on the band wagon instead of putting out a better quality of music. or i should say why isn’t the better quality of music catching on?

So with that being said…i believe we have come to terms…

nice talking with you…unless you have more to discuss…lol

  570. E From BK Says:

    >>>>>what i saw you post was about D4L and DFB, which actually upsets me

I’m glad you can admit that, however, you can see I am very specific in my disdain.

  571. Trouble Maker Says:

    >>what i saw you post was about D4L and DFB, which actually upsets me because those groups are the common ammo for any one commenting on the south.

is that what you meant by taking words out of context?

you know, for someone who does not like it you do a pretty good job of it…lol

you may be specific, but what you did not do in the beginning was state how you felt across the board like you did in your 2nd and 3rd to last post….

if you would have only said…

    >>There are a plethora of East Coast artists that I dislike, hell, most of Hip Hop from everywhere I dislike.

from the start, then i doubt anyone would have had any opposition for you…..

  572. E From BK Says:

I did say that and if you had an open mind you would see that. Go on……………..take a look. Be surprised.

First of all. I am from the south. I am a producer and i like music period. New York is the music mecca as far as where the business is being held. But the talent pool is now coming from new regions because all of these smart executives realiz what a person said earlier…that New York people are only concerned with New York and nothing fresh can possibly come out of this type of envirnment.. The key to success in the music biz is to keep it fresh. I live in Muscle Shoals Alabama there is absolutey nothing happening here as far as music now….This used to be one of the music capitals of the world (Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Johnnie Taylor, The Almond Bros, so many more do your research)…. now its nothing left here but memories because they got so concieted and did not move with the times. So you can name off records of the past all you want just like alot of other cities, that can be your claim to fame but that is not going to change what I think, it’s not going to change what the executives in New York think, maybe if You New York cats get smart like a puffy (Young Joc, 8ball MJG), Jermaine Dupree (D4l, Dem Fran) Jay Z (Young Jeezy, Rick Ross)…. Maybe Ya’ll to will make some money. Ain’t nobody worrying about no Ol School records ya’ll New People done made. And for real i can’t lie. When New York was on fire, keyword was, it wasn’t because you were necessarily the most talented it was because people, including myself were amazed by the culture we automatically drawn into it. You guys have exhausted all gimmicks, all publicity stunts (like Gravy claiming to get shot at the radio station but goes ahead with the interview….lol) Good music always wins end the end. We been making good music and now we are on top you guys are cryin’. Face it some of my favorite artist are from NY, but seems like to me most artist from NY want to force sum tough man s**t down our throats, and buy now face the world knows that all that stuff is fake, NY has been exposed. I suggest that you guys go back to the LAB knowing that you guys are actually the underdogs now. Atlanta is King now, Houston too, New York New York big City of dreams pick you game up son. Maybe if you quit sayin son, b , banannas, cray, and everybody sounding like a clone of Funkmaster Flex maybe you will at least be significant again… Peace!

AZ… who the hell is that…. Are you talking about a guy who sold no records with the Firm. That is a fresh verse a like it alot but do you have to understand what makes a record hot (talking about another guyz remark on another post) .. Sometimes a records needs fast rap sometimes it needs slow rap, it ain’t about writing a phat verse I gaurantee that I can go to the hood and a cat can write something that rhymes in a tight way but its just not catchy, it’s not something memorable. Young’s line about the Snowman (genious). Patty Cake Patty Cake microwave, C’mon the is genious, its catchy, and his flow is what makes it….Anybody who don’t like it and says it’s wack is still stuck in the Wu-Tang era when it was cool to rap so fast to where nothing really made sense, I hated the shit but I respected the game and hustle because some many others revered it. I am not a hater I am a creator, and if I could have created the D4l s**t i would have too. I personally don’t like that fruity loop s**t but it took a good AnR who believed in something that sounded so unique to sign them.. Imagine if you were an AnR and passed on that group. You would feel stupid and probaly would not have the job. The younger generation wants what they want. Hiphop has changed before and its going to change again. Why don’t someone from New York be that one to try to come up with something fresh and new that doesn’t sound like a highly sampled, gritty SP1200, put a high pitched sped up vocal in the background, jack somebody else’s hook, then offer Funk flex $10,000 to play it, claim to get shot and a vast criminal record , and start beef with 50cent, make a sex tape, then become a precher formula… C’mon New York, this formula just ain’t working……Nobody is believing that tough man stuff any more. I am not even a gangsta but let any of them so called gangstars lay a hand on me or my child because of something i wrote, it would not be handle on hot97 or on DJ Whookid’s mix tape I’ll tell you that.. And every real MAN from down south or east coast can feel that. That’s how you now that not real s**t. Any peace to those cool NY peeps who are not hating and grinding in the Lab coming up with some new fresh heat and to the NY haters writing about how great they were, you should be in the Lab or having car washes to raise some “payola” to give flex cause you gone need it. Think about this, DJ Kay Slay is a DJ at HOT97 and its taking him a while to get Papoose signed. The kid is OK but nothing about him stands out vocally or lyrically. Just spitting some tough New York Talk. And I bet anyone that this kid does not do well at all because it sounds like DJ Kay Slay is using the formula above that has been and will the akilis heel of NY.

The fact that there is even a forum on this topic is proof enough that New York is no longer the power it once was. Think about it, nobody from down south or anywhere would have even peeped into this form during the reign of Biggie and Puff. But Puff has turned corny (I respect him from a business sense though). I think that the fact is the East Coast is more worried about us than we are about them.. ……………..It’s lonely at the top.. You got Game and Snoop trying to unite the West. You got every NY rapper and DJ (Kay Slay) hollerin’ let’s bring New York Back…… What do you here Southern rappers saying….absolutely nothing. What no one is pointing out is that they were responding to what to them was insults (Let’s bring New York Back!) as if only New York can hold the torch of hip hop. New York is now the challenger and the South is champion, has it is now no one, and i mean no one can argue that fact…… the pendulum will swing again and who knows it may be Alaska with iglo-hop to be the next thing… who knows. But right now we are on top and lovin it. More money mo problems……
