It just makes me sad cause that was the end of “good” rap IMO.
That’s when everyone I knew went underground and said fuck the violence. Bring some positivity to the game.
It’s too bad they had to release so many sub-par non-2pac sounding albums, with production that was ment for lesser rappers.
I wish they had done just 1 in 2006 to commemorate 10 years of him being gone, double LP with guest appearances by everyone they could find he worked with before, with rugged original beats remastered as best as possible in 2pac form.
But money got the best of them and they destroyed 2pacs music IMO. Just made a mockery of it, and what it stands for.
Anyways this vid makes me sad because I realize that 2pac not only was a huge success but he elevated the style of the game and just made rap worth talking about. With the death of Pac and BIG, it leaves huge holes that still remain in the game today.

Although in my opinion B.I.G. was the better rapper. But he didn’t put as much emotion into it as Pac did…

BIG and Jay went toe to toe on the songs they did together. If you don’t believe that then you should revisit the work.
Watching that video is sad. I remember when Suge got Pac out of jail all I could think about was that I had wished Puff got him out. Pac is definitely one of my favorites and I wanted the hometeam to rep for him. When Suge jumped on the opportunity, I just felt uneasy. Not that I thought he would be killed, but it just didn’t sit right.

I say LL because of alot of factors of course the main factor being longevity. This guy has been recording now since 1984. That is unprecidented in this fickle rap world. At 16 the kid killed it with I need a beat. Did you hear the lyrics on that? What 16 year old in the modern era can even spit like that? Then he made it cool to rap for the chicks. Rap for the chicks and the guys will follow. He dismantled cats in battles. He changed his flow many times. I just don’t think that he gets his due.

Big would have gone through some of the same criticisms that Jay would have, because he was on Bad Boy and you know what happened to the Lox.
I’m not saying Big is not hot, but If he had never died it would have been a different story. Plus Big was a more likeable Person than Jay, so that gave him an edge. There’s no way you could think that Jordan in his prime could do what he did to Kevin McHale and Michael Cooper to todays athletes. He was the first of a new breed of athlete. You got 7 footers doing what Jordan was capable of in today’s NBA. LeBron is better, Kobe too (at least in comparative periods of their respective careers).

But I bet in the 60’s and 70’s you never saw anyone with the ability of Barry Sanders, or had QB’s with the ATHLETIC ABILITY of Mike Vick, Reggie Bush, etc.

Bron Bron post, the fact of the matter is that Bron might be more skilled than mike at the same point in their careers, but Bron Bron will not have the same effect on the game that Mike had, Mike is a one of a kind player, jus like magic and bird was to their era, like wilt to his era, And if you want you can take it outta basketball and go to football with marshall faulk, to barry sanders to LT. Its like this… If we as a people choose to believe it or not… Its believed that we all were one people one race… And we changed we evolved over time due to climate, temp, and diets.
Yes its true evolution takes millions of years to happen, but that is a weak argument, who says when the million years start or stop?
My friend what we are witnessing is evolution spiking everyone is getting the big ass now because that’s what we want.
So by natural selection a womans genetics tell the body that the alpha male want big butts and I can not lie all you other brother can’t deny.
