A Great Day in Atlanta

Here’s the Great Day in Atlanta pic that was taken last month. It features pretty much every artist from Atlanta and is a recreation of the famous Great Day in Harlem picture taken by Art Kane in 1958. Good idea and all, it’s just too bad XXL already did it back in ’98 with rappers that people actually care about. No lie, I recognize about 3 people in this picture.

That fucking picture has reduced the value of the ART KANE composition. Fuck Hip-Hop. Fuck the celebration of nothing. Just cuz’ niggas aint in jail they think we should honor them. Fools got on down coats and bitches got on g-strings. WTF makes a bunch of porch monkeys standing on a porch such a fucking great day. I am sick!

  9. Fresh Says:

I’m from GA so I can name more than few people in the photo . . .

Young Jeezy, Killer Mike, T.I., Ludacris, Bobby Valentino, the Ying Yang Twins, Bone Crusher, Shawn Jay from Field Mob (who is actually from Albany,GA), Sleepy Brown, Jermaine Dupri, Jody Breeze (I couldn’t tell you how the rest of Da Boyz N Da Hood look outside of him and Jeezy to save my life but Im sure they are there), Jim Crow,T-Mo, Goodie, Konkrete, T-Boz, Khujo Goodie, Rico Wade and Crime Mob.

Now of course this flick means NOTHING since OutKast isn’t in it. Like I told you the rest of them cats have the face value of a wet food stamp. Hoe sit down…

  17. Marketta Jeter Says:

That is A good Pic. It’s Good to see rappers, singers, and actors(if any) come together as one. I think it teaches youngster like me that we can be famous and still do positive things. I think more rappers and singers need to cut out all the fuse and get together and make a hit song and/or record, because all of the drama is only teaching the furture to do the same and young kids look up to the people they see on TV. So I was glad that the picture was taken. I also wish everyone in the picture good luck and keep doing what ya doing. That’s what it is!!!!
