It was a memorable year for live hip-hop shows to say the least. From the festivals to the club gigs, there were plenty of moments that made us put our hands up, sing along, laugh, and sometimes even scratch our head like, “WTF just happened?” Here are 13 Unforgettable Live Performances from 2013, which include an A-list assortment of special guests, and a couple very special fans too, courtesy of NahRight and UpNorthTrips.

1. Action Bronson Performs “Strictly For My Jeeps” at an Old Folks Home in England – Even Drake called it “the best performance of the new millenium.”

2. Action Bronson Takes Out Stage-Hopper with Vicious Leg Sweep in Boston – And he recounted the incident in detail for us during our The Green Room interview with him, calling it “just a small display of my athletic prowess.” Read more here.

3. Danny Brown Gets Head on Stage From a Fan – An eager female fan pulled out Danny’s dick while he was rapping and started giving him dome from the front row during a performance in Minneapolis. The thirst was real.

4. Drake ft. Sampha “Too Much” Live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – Drake debuted his Nothing Was The Same song with Sampha on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show, and it was instantly loved across the board. Enjoy the pre-banter with Jimmy and Scarlett Johansson in the clip also.

5. Diddy and Mase Reunite at OVO Fest – Yes, Drizzy choreographed an appearance by old Bad Boy collaborators Diddy and Mase at this year’s OVO Fest.

6. The Diplomats Celebrate Diplomatic Immunity’s 10th Anniversary at B.B. Kings – The Dips took the stage together in New York City to celebrate their classic double disc’s 10th anniversary.

7. Drake Brings Out Kanye West to Perform at OVO Fest – The silent competition came to a standstill as the two rap superstars sang each other’s praises during Kanye’s surprise performance at Drizzy’s annual OVO Fest in Toronto.

8. Kanye West “Bound 2” Live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – Kanye warmed up for his Yeezus tour with a special, first-ever live performance of “Bound 2” featuring The Roots, Charlie Wilson, and a local boys choir. And he threw a jab at Ray J while he was at it, too.

9. Kendrick Lamar Brings Out 50 Cent and A$AP Rocky at Roseland Ballroom – Kendrick put on one of the most memorable Big Apple performances by an out-of-towner this year, and brought NYC artists 50 Cent and A$AP Rocky out as special guests.

10. Lil Wayne’s Miami Heat Rant at NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston – Weezy went H.A.M. on the Heat during his performance at All-Star weekend, claiming he smashed Bosh’s wife and calling himself “the new 2Pac.”

11. Pete Rock & CL Smooth Perform “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) at Rocksteady 36th Anniversary Concert in Central Park – Pete Rock & CL Smooth took the stage to perform their classic single this summer, and it was quite the moment for those in attendance. 12. A Tribe Called Quest Opens Up For Kanye West at Barclays Center – Q-Tip, Phife, Ali, and Jarobi ran through all their hits, and even brought a real-life, body-painted Bonita Applebum on stage with them. Wow.

13. Wu-Tang Clan Performs with Hologram Ol’ Dirty Bastard at Rock The Bells – To follow in the footsteps of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg bringing out Hologram 2Pac at Coachella in 2012, The Wu were blessed with an appearance by Hologram ODB at Rock The Bells.
